Where Do Broken Hearts Go (Sequel to You and I)

Connie’s POV

Christmas was pretty amazing this year. I got to spend it with my family and Evan’s as well.Tomorrow, Evan and I were leaving for New York. I had a lot of packing to do. Okay, I’m not a light packer. I usually tend to over pack, which is not good at all. I’m working on it.

I packed some clothes here and there. Bernice was coming over today, just so we can hang out for a bit. I haven’t seen her for a while because she also was spending time with family.

The doorbell rang and I went downstairs to open it.

“Hey Bernice!” I said.

“Connie, I missed you!” She said as she hugged me.

I laughed. “It hasn’t been that long.” I said.

“You’re ruining the moment!” She said.

I laughed.

We both went upstairs. She sat on my bed as I continued packing.

“Are you excited for New York?” She asked.

“I’m pretty excited since I’m going with Evan as well.” I said.

“You know, Harry and I are going to New York as well…” She said.

I was too busy to pay attention. “Oh, that’s great!” I said.

“…And the rest of boys as well.” She said.

I stopped packing. That means I’m probably going to see Niall as well.

“Oh, why are they going to New York?” I asked.

“They are performing in Times Square.” She said.

“Oh…” I said as I continued packing.

“Hey, don’t be upset.You’re going to have a great time with Evan.” She said.

“I know I will.It’s just that I feel like he’s been everywhere.” I said.

I mean, everywhere in the news and in magazines. The media always talks about him and this mystery girl he has been hanging around. Of course, I knew it was probably Emily.

The media always talks about places they have seen them in Toronto. I guess that’s where she lives since the paparazzi spotted Niall leaving her house. In addition, they always talk about me being his ex-girlfriend.

I don’t know why, but it bothers me so much. And I’m not sure if it’s Niall hanging with Emily that is bothering me or the media always labelling me as Niall’s ex-girlfriend.

Anyways, Bernice and I went downstairs. We actually started baking because that’s originally why she came over to do. We both loved baking. We were making cupcakes because we both loved cupcakes as well.

The doorbell rang. I wiped my hands on a towel and went to open the door.It was Evan.

“Hey Connie.” He said as he kissed my cheek.

He was staying over for the night so that we could head to the airport together. I helped him grabbed his bags and placed it in the living room. We both went into the kitchen and it was a huge mess.

“Hey Evan.” Bernice said.

“Hey Bernice.” He said.

Evan helped Bernice and I cleaned up. When we were done, Bernice had left.

Evan and I went into my room and we just sat on my bed watching horror movies. I’m so happy I can watch horror movies with him because we both loved them.

In the middle of a movie, I felt very tired and slowly started to doze off.

I was woken up to the sound of a voice.

“Connie, wake up.It’s time to go to the airport.” Evan said.

I groaned, but I got up anyways. I went to take a quick shower and got ready. Evan got ready as well. My mom had already woken up cause she was going to take us to the airport.

We both got our stuff and headed downstairs to load into my mom’s car.

“Are you guys excited?!” My mom asked.

“Excited!” Evan said.

“And tired.” I said as I laughed.

When we got to the airport, my mom helped us unpacked.

“Hope you have a safe flight darling.” She said as she hugged me.

“Thanks mom.” I said as I smiled.

“You too Evan.Take care of my little girl.” My mom said.

Evan laughed. “Always.” He said.

My mom drove off. Evan and I headed in.

When we got onto the plane, we took our seats and sat down. The plane started to take off as I placed my head on Evan’s shoulder.
