…The Next Day (At the Wilson’s Residence)…

“Val, why can’t we just have the vanilla frosted cake instead?” I roll my eyes for the billionth time at my dear friend Lora. It took me a while to explain to her everything that happened, and I also had to admit to her and Josh about the truth about Harry, because it was a part of the series of unfortunate events that occurred lately. Last night, we took Georgia back to her house, and it wasn’t an easy task to inform her about her father being arrested.
The worst part is when my father told her that he would be in prison for more than ten years, due to his illegal crimes. She was extremely silent, and I understood why without her explaining to me. She has suffered a lot because of her father, yet at the same time she couldn’t disown herself as his daughter. Her emotions were mixed and that was why her reaction was very calm and quiet. Once I’ve returned home, Harry and I spent the night planning a small party for Georgia. Harry was the one to suggest that she needs to celebrate her new beginning, and I couldn’t agree less to his words.
For that reason, we called Lora and Josh and told them to come over so we could plan this gathering. Obviously both our friends were shocked to know who the party person was, and so we had to reveal everything. They both felt a little irritated by the fact that we have kept away this secret from them, but they did understand eventually. Right now, the four of us are gathered in my bedroom, throwing and brainstorming ideas and themes.
“Let’s just take a vote, alright? Who wants vanilla?” Lora was the first to raise her hand up high, but she was the only one out of us three. I smile in triumph, knowing that my decision was the one to be taken. “(I snap at Josh) Put that down, right now.” He gives Harry a fist bump, as they chuckle. He has been touching my makeup kit and perfumes, and making funny jokes with Harry about the items. “Guys, please just focus with us and try to be productive. Give us a theme, anything.”
Josh taps his index finger over his chin, as Harry walks towards the bed were Lora and I are seated. He plants a soft kiss on my cheek, and sets beside me on the fluffy mattress. “Why not make it like a dance party? We can do it downstairs in the den. Its extremely huge and we could get lights and a DJ? It’ll be sick.” Josh’s suggestion makes Harry ask: “What’s a dance party? Is it like the Step Up movie we watched, baby?” I nod at him, and give him a better explanation. “Its not that kind of dancing, its just like how you and I dance. There would be more people in the room dancing too, and there would be drinks served and such stuff. (I brush his cheek in my palm) You like to dance right?” He nods at me, and steals a quick peck from my lips.
“(She speaks in awe) You two are like the cutest thing since that penguin dance video on Vine.” I giggle at Lora’s smily, and ask for a final decision. “So, who agrees to what Josh suggested?” We all raise up our hands, which makes me announce. “Alright, we have something. Now, all we need to do is plan this as soon as possible. I’ll assign each of us a task and we will begin with the preparations as soon as we have everything we need, deal?” They all mumble a ‘deal’ back at me, as I smile to myself. A new beginning, a new life and a new friendship for you Georgia.
