“(I giggle as I speak) No, Harry. You have to click this one to win points.” Harry, stretches his tongue out, as he concentrates on winning a new level on Candy Crush Saga. We currently were in the hospitalised room of Georgia, sitting down together and killing time. “(She sighs) When is the food going to arrive?” Georgia asks, as she rolls her eyes. “I told the nurse, twice. Would you like me to check again?” I offer, but she shakes her head in a kind denial.
“Hey curly head. (Harry snaps his head from his phone, knowing that she is addressing him) Would it be possible if you got me something from the café?” Harry stands up instantly, and replies: “Sure thing, Georgia. (He turns to look at me) I won’t be long, babe.” He tilts his head to my sitting level, and plants a peck on my lips causing me to smile. He walks towards the door, and exists the room. “I want us to talk, since we haven’t got the chance to do that recently.”
I bring the chair closer to her bed, and adjust my seat. She looks at me for a moment that seemed long http://www.polyvore.com/brightness_to_dayfall/set?id=143187517, causing the awkward silence to erupt. “What?” I break the quietness, as she releases a heavy breath. “Do you still hate me?” I blink my eyes, not expecting this question from Georgia.“I never hated you, I just disliked you and that doesn’t mean I hated you. (I mumble truthfully) Well, I was going to begin to hate you when you were swooning Harry, back then.” She laughs and I join her. “Let’s be serious, though. You do know that I am terribly sorry for everything I have done wrong towards you, right?”
I take her hand in mine and give her a sisterly squeeze.“Why do you insist on repeating this conversation? I don’t want anything to cause us to fight anymore. We both grew up knowing that we are different, but we didn’t know that it isn’t a bad thing. We were childish and competitive, yes. But, I think you were able to show me that even though we are different, we are still human.”
She nods, and adds to my own words:“I’ll never forget that you saved my life.” I respond in return: “And I will never forget that you gave me back the part of my life.” She jokes: “Have you ever imagined that we both would be in this situation, bonding and being…friends?” I fix my eyeglasses, and chuckle. “I wouldn’t have it any other way. (I smirk) You know, Josh right? (She nods and I giggle) Harry told me that he fancies you.” Her eyes widen, as she swats my hand playfully.
“I don’t have time for men in my life, anymore.” I scoff: “As if!” She throws a tissue at me, as I dodge it and giggle. “Josh, huh?” I wiggle my eyebrows at her question, as she groans. “Can’t wait to get out to see him, already?” She mutters in a shy way: “Will you zip it, Val?” I laugh a little louder:“Never.” Just as she was going to reply, my father and Harry enter the room. “I saw Harry on the way up here. (He looks at Georgia) How are you doing, kid?” She smiles politely at my father and replies: “I would be doing much better if I could go back home.”
My father kisses my temple, and walks towards Georgia. Harry hands her a cupcake that he got her, and sits down beside me; bringing his arm around my waist and placing his chin over my shoulder. “I spoke with the administration downstairs, before I came up here. They told me that you are free to go, tonight. All they need to do is give you an oxygen checkup and then you’ll get to go back home.” She hugs my father kindly, clearly happy that she could now return to her house and begin her dream of having a new chance to live with a clear conscience.
