Thomas’s POV:

As my own sister climbed down the staircase, my eyes met hers. “(She murmured in sadness) She’s in his room. She wants to be alone, and I think we need to give her that. She’s in pain Thomas, your own daughter is in pain because of those barbaric creatures that should not be classified as humans. They stole her love, her companion.” As my sister begins to cry, I rushed towards her and cradled her in a warm hug.
She may estimate that I cannot relate to my daughter’s pain, but I am the only one that knows how she feels. When Carmen passed away, I didn’t believe it. I could not comprehend that my own wife is not with me anymore. I suffered a greater pain, trying to be strong for my daughter. I didn’t want her to see me cry, and I never let her. I wanted her to rely on me, to believe that I could be both her mother and father.
Regina was a huge help in raising Valerie, and every time they were seen together, I would take the time to go to my study room and ball my eyes out in my hushed weeps. I’ve known her since she was sixteen, and I never was able to look at a women like I looked at her. She was the other piece of my puzzle, and happiness could never cross my path when I knew that I was her other half too.
That poor, innocent and lost boy is lost; I won’t stick around crying. Carmen would never want to see me weak, because she always praised me for being a courageous and soft-hearted man. I won’t let our daughter suffer what I’ve been through Carmen. I won’t let that happen and I know you are approving my perseverance right now, love.
Just as I dropped the hug I was sharing with Regina, a maid welcomed a person into the villa. Regina and I turned around to see who the guest was, which made us curious. Of all people close to Valerie, I wouldn’t expect this one to show up. Has my daughter come close to this person, without my knowledge?
Have they regained their relationship and put aside their differences at last? “(She speaks with full respect, as she shakes my hand and Regina’s) I promise you that I will explain everything at the right time, but please I need to see Valerie alone. This is very important and I need you to let me see her, because everything could change if I did.”

Valerie’s POV:

The door produces a creaking sound, as some enters the room. I wipe my face quickly, and close Harry’s sketch pad. My eyes blink at the the person standing right in front of me, but I am more astonished on that soft look that she is giving me. “(I mutter) What are you doing here, Georgia…” She doesn’t answer, but she slides down next to me on the edge of the bed. She lifts her hand, patting my shoulder slowly.
“I came here, not to beg you for forgiveness, not to open any closed door for a better future for the both of us. I came here, because I cannot sleep at night. I am the reason why you are shattered, and as much as my envy would be satisfied right now, it isn’t. I can’t be this person, and you can’t be broken. Promise me that you’ll listen to me, and that you would try to understand every word I’ll say, Valerie?”
