Valerie’s POV:

Even though I would never allow myself to be having this amount of closeness with Georgia, I nodded. I nodded because I wanted to know what she wants to say, also because I have a feeling that her words would be valuable for once in a lifetime.
She begins talking: “Nobody knows this about me, and if they would I would be ticked off the elites in a second… You know my father, right? ( I nod, allowing her to go on) Your father and mine are great friends, but even that bond did not allow your own father to know how his dear friend’s secret. Sure, my father says that his wealth is because of his medical career, but the truth is the opposite. My father has been selling organs to people, manipulating their trust and using his title as a doctor to take money illeagaly. He is a donner thief, and a shame on the medical ethics. I’ve known about his real career, when I turned eighteen. Since that moment, my whole life changed. The dignity that I had, my priceless self-possion, was gone. I was shattered and ashamed of my fatherly idol. When my fahter knew that I had seen his true colors, he threatened me to disown me as his own daughter, unless I give him a hand in his dirty work. I didn’t want to be left out, I didn’t want to end up on the streets, so I had to agree to his dark condition. It didn’t happen until last year, when I began to plan my escape. I want a clean life, a white page in my book of journies; I didn’t want to go on with this background. I began sabing money for my future plan, and that was when I met Charlie. He proposed to me that, if I helped him place the transmitting devices here; he would give me all the money I wished for. He threatened me that if I didn’t, he would have my dad and I arrested. I didn’t have a choice, I swear it a billion times; it was the only solution for my plan to work. But right now, I want to tell you that I don’t want the money, I don’t want a clean beginning if I am leaving turmoil tracks that would hunt my conscience for eternity. I want you to let me help you get Harry back, that’s all. I don’t care if I get prisoned, all I care is to be able to sleep at night…”
The firs thing that I heard after her voice, was a huge clatter sound. I looked at my hand, noticing that it was the reason of the sound. I had slapped her so hard, that her face turned from left to right. She didn’t wince, she didn’t cry, all she did was whisper: “I deserve more… hit me till I bleed, but let me help you stop the internal bleeding of your own heart.” Those words were like a magic spell.
They froze my entire body and ran a shiver across my skin. “(I mutter in anger) There is no time to waste on giving you what you deserve, right now. Even if you wanted to help, how do you think I would accept your filthy hand?” She nods, as she slips her fingers into her purse, grabbing a piece of paper. She hands it to me, as she stands up.
“That has all of the information you need to know. I knew you would never let me help you, because I am the bad person here. Regardless, I am going to help you whether you approve or disapprove, Valerie. Read it to yourself, and you have my number. I know that there is a place in your heart that is forgiving, under all of those layers of hate that you contain for me. (She twists the knob, and opens the door) I want to help you get him back, because people like you deserve what people like me are trying to have all their lives… a happy ending.”
