Valerie’s POV:

I rush with my heels to the pool area, and I freeze in my position when I see Harry pushing Georgia off him in the pool. “(His voice sounds irritated) Georgia, please stop kissing me. Can’t we talk about something, for once? Like art, or music?” Georgia scoffs, as she swims out of the pool. She grabs a towel and dries her hair quickly.
“Listen, Harry you are hot, but I don’t think we should be talking and wasting time in these genres, when we clearly could have some real fun, if you know what I mean. But you clearly don’t, and that makes me feel bored.” She strides off to the inside, still drying her hair. Did I just witness what I think I did? Harry combs his hair back, sighing with frustration and murmuring to himself: “Stupid feelings… Great, now neither her nor Valerie want to be around me. I’m a failure.”
Something pinches my heart, making me melt into his sorrowful words. I clear my throat, which catches his attention. He turns his body and looks at me, half surprised and half curious. “You aren’t a failure, Harry.” He replies with a shock: “You heard everything, didn’t you?” I nod sheepishly, as he gets out of the pool he walks towards me, standing right in front of me. The water slides down from all areas of his body, as his face inches closer to me.
“(His tone is sad, but he tries not to show his feeling through his expressions) Where is Charlie? Weren’t you supposed to be all happy together?” I slide off my eyeglasses, and stare at the ground. “I sent him away. We didn’t reach to any progress, well not the kind of progress that I would have preferred.” A wet finger tilts my chin upwards, making me look at his glorious eyes. “(He murmurs softly) That makes the two of us, now…”
As he leans his lips to collide with mine, I move my face to the side. “(He breaths deeply) Valerie, please listen to me. I am so sorry for what I did, I should have realised it earlier, but… (He begins to weep) I um… I didn’t appreciate you like I should have. (He sniffles, as my heart begins to burn internally) You should have told me that you loved me. That would have made things way easier for you and I…” I shrug, because I can’t even move right now.
Harry crying in front of me, begging me to open the door for him again, that is so much to take in at the moment. I brush my fingers under his eyes, wiping the salty droplets off. “(I whisper calmly) I was stupid, selfish and hurt. I also forgot that you have never been into this situation before and I should have been more responsib-…” His lips cut me off from talking, telling me that he completely understands. I move my lips with his, in pure hunder and miss. This closure is what I need, not what I want. and there is a huge difference between these two words; need is more essential than want.
He departs his lips from mine, slowly confessing: “I love you, Valerie. I love you so much and I don’t want to be around anyone but you. I mean it and I promise I will never put you in any hurt. I didn’t know that I was, until a moment ago. But I did know that I loved you from the first moment I saw you on the island.” The only words that seem to be able to form are: “I always loved you, Harry.”
