Stupid Harry, Stupid Valerie. (36th Chapter)

Harry’s POV:

I went upstairs and changed into my swimming trunks, as Georgia took the time in the bathroom to change as well. I wanted to swim, but not because Georgia and I would be alone and together. I wanted to swim, and feel the water rushing through my skin with every swift that my arms apply. It calmed me, it gave me that piece of relaxation that I am not able to find in this mind dilemma.
Why does Valerie hate me? I like her so much, like those disney movies I watched with her. She has the identical persona of cinderella and the sleeping beauty. She’s soft, caring, and very pretty. I’m not saying that Georgia isn’t, but there is this huge gap that no one could fill except for Valerie. In the cartoon movies, there would always be a factor of love. Regina taught me the meaning of the word, she even explained to me that it is a feeling that could be present when a person finds his match.
This makes me wonder, why did Valerie not tell me about love, when she explained to me about finding my companion? Did she try to imply that it was her, but she was shy to admit it? Stupid Harry, why did I give Georgia a chance? I know for a fact that Georgia and Valerie do not like each other. Could this be the reason why Valerie is upset of me, because I am around the person she mostly dislikes?
I shouldn’t have listened to my friend, Josh, in the first place. When I told him about what Georgia and I did, he told me to go for it. But right now, I don’t want ot go for it anymore. I miss Valerie being around me, I miss her touch and how she would encourage me to bring out the best in me. All Georgia wants to do, is kiss me all the time. Is this what a partner is meant to do, only? I don’t think so.

Valerie’s POV:

“Charlie, tell me something random about yourself?” He grins, as he takes my hand and plants a peck on the surface. We are currently sitting in the garden, just admiring the atmospheric feeling and allowing the sun to bronze our exposed skin. “Hmph… (He thinks) I don’t know what to say. (He pauses then speaks) My father and I are researching some premitive skeletons of humans from the premitive ages. Its our latest research, and I think we are getting progress so far.” My face didn’t chance, neither did I find this conversation interesting at all. “Charlie, tell me something about you, personally. Like, what kind of food do you favor, or what movie do you like watching? Stuff like these.”
Charlie chuckles, as he shakes his head a little. “Valerie, why would we waste time on silly nonsense? These topics are childish and irrelevant. I would rather flirt with you than discuss such.” That was what I needed. It was the trigger that pulled me out and placed me in the land of realisation. Charlie is stiff headed, nothing between us is in common. His idea of childish and irrelevant is the opposite of mine.
“(I stand up from my seat) Charlie I think you should get going now. I don’t feel well, so I need to rest. I’ll call you, alright?” He looks astounded by my claim, but he leaves without saying a word, the rejection was clear to be received. I did this to myself. I covered the true reasons on why I shouldn’t have do this, and focused on revenge. But who was I revenging for? Myself? Stupid Valerie, I should have talked to Harry earlier; I hope now isn’t too late.
Harry’s POV:
