Through the Dark. (30th Chapter)
Valerie's POV:

The both of them seem to get along quite well together, which made me superbly relieved that Harry has a friend now. Which means, I should buy Harry a cellphone and teach him how to use it; to maintain friendships you should stay in touch through phone at least. As I chatter with Lora a little, the person that I did not want to invite to this party walks towards our little group.
I had to invite her because her father is close to my father since their younger days, which practically pastes her onto my hip. I didn’t want her showing up, in fact I prayed she wouldn’t. The entire lobby is filled with people, couldn’t she find a group and talk to? Please change your direction, Georgia.
She glides towards me like a serpent, slithering her way like a fake runway model. I wouldn’t describe her as ugly, but her personality is pure black just like the straps on my dress. Her light brown hair is swaying like a villian’s cape, moving with her smoothly as her curved his bounce. The dress she has chose is on the verge of ripping off, since it is extremely tight on her body.
Short, strapless, and tight; a dangerous combination and an attention seeker; seems to match Georgia’s character perfectly. She paints an extremely plastic smile, as we both share an air kiss; that is how you deal with a plastic. “(She fakes her missing) Val, gal I missed you so much! I’m so happy to see you after such a long time. How long was it? Centuries?” I just want to claw my sharp fingernails into her cheek and stop her vulgar laugh. “(I smirk) Actually, make that forever.”
She gets the message that my weapons are up for a fight, reading between the line that I just slapped her with. Her eyes dart dangerously, staring at someone/something behind me and smiling. I turn around and notice Harry and Josh practically drooling from their departed mouths. Their eyes concentrated on her dress, precisely at where he breasts are 80% in full view.
“(He smiles, as he stretches his hand, making me move a little back) Hi, I’m Harry; Valerie’s cousin.” Georgia takes his hand in hers in slow motion, lingering her bony fingers onto Harry, knowing how to captivate his mind; I want to strangle her. I click my fingers in front of Harry’s face, snapping him out of it as he withdraws his hand making Georgia chuckle under her breath in victory.
“(I announce as everyone in the lobby looks at me) People, its time for the birthday boy to cut his cake. I want you all to make a circle and wish Harry a happy birthday, please.” They all seem to move like I instructed, while my father and aunt join me in the empty middle of the crowd’s circle, along with Harry. We smile at each other, as two maids drag the table where Harry’s cake is positioned on.
Another employee turns of the light, as the candles are lighted, and the singing of the famous happy birthday begins. Harry begins to sing with the us, making me come close to him as his arm wraps aournd my waist. He pulls my hip to his, as we sing foolishly in front of the huge ice cream gateau. “(I whisper in his ear, once the singing finishes) Make a wish and blow your candle Harry.”
His eyes glitter at me through the dark, as an exciting grin pastes on his lips. He mumbles his wish under his breath, making me laugh to myself, and blows it. The crowd of friends cheers for Harry, as my father, aunt and I congratulate our young man. “(He whispers in my ear, while I am hugging him) May I kiss you, please? I really, really want to, Valerie.”
His eyes look through mine in hope and plea, as I roll my eyes at him playfully. “(I whisper back) Not right now, but I promise I will when the party is over and when we are alone, deal?” Before sealing the deal verbally, he kisses my cheek and chuckles in a little victory. “Deal.”
