Criticise. (20th Chapter)
…Three Months Later…

Valerie's POV:

Time passed quickly in the villa, and massive changes were applied. For starters, my father managed to get Harry his ID card at last. However, he did struggle taking Harry to the photographer for his head shots, and introducing him to what a camera and a flash effect are. His registered name is Harry Wilson, since my family name was his only reference. I was challenged when I took him to do his blood tests at the hospital, for an insurance card.
The nurse had to sedate him, in order to take a simple blood test. He went hysterical when he saw the needle, but I promised him that this wouldn’t affect him at all. But who could blame him? I know grownups that fear the sting of the needle till this day, so no one could judge or criticise Harry’s scare. As for how Harry evolved, the changes were remarkable.
Harry is now able to form sentences, he could communicate with us and he understands what we are talking at last. However, he tends to ask a lot of ‘What is that?’ and ‘What does that mean?’ questions on an continuous rate. He is now able to phrase his curiosity, rather than staring at me to understand his needs. Even though he does speak, sometimes his sentences is jumbled.
For example: A week ago, Harry was watching television with me. We were watching Ariana Grande’s music video of Break Free, while Harry was dancing goofily on the couch. When he noticed me basking my eyes at him, he smiled and said: “Harry likes the song.” Yes, he tends to refer to himself in the third person most of the time, but my aunt is still tutoring him the right phrasing. Aside from the linguistics, he has shown massive improvements in the etiquette lessons.
He now knows how to dress, eat, and shower by himself. Teaching him how the knife and fork work together, was a little difficult but he eventually got the hang of it. Harry’s prior interests were listening to music, dancing, and drawing. The first thing that he draw, was the basic smily face: A huge circle with dotted eyes and a horizontal bracket for the mouth. I made sure to frame the paper over his bed, as an accomplishment of a new artist.
On the side, Harry seems to love listening to Pharrell William’s song, Happy, all the time. Even though the song gets boring after being repeated for four times; Harry never seemed to get enough of it. His smile is like sunshine. Its like his spirit is so light and innocent, that he is how he is. The weirdest part of teaching Harry, was the lesson about where do babies come from.
I felt so awkward, that I could explain to him a word. Heck, I even confused him more, because I couldn’t find a proper phrasing for the process. My aunt and father took care of informing him about this, yet he didn’t seem interested like a hormonal teenager would be. He had this face of wisdom, as he was grasping the concept.
On the other hand, I had to take Harry to the church in order to understand religion. The father blessed him every Sunday with holy water, right after the prayer. Unlike his hyperactivity, Harry would display complete stillness and concentration in church; God has outstanding ways indeed.
As for now, Harry is helping me fold my clothes and stacking them in one of my eight closets. “(He groans) Harry feels bored. Why doesn’t Valerie take Harry outside to the pool?” I chuckle at his cuteness, as I place the last t-shirt in neatly on the stack of others. “Alright, but Harry don’t splash me with water, please? I want to tan, and I’ll leave you to swim.”
He jumps and yelps in happiness, as I stop him. “Go change your clothes, and come back here so we can go down together. Don’t forget your sunscreen and shades, alright?” He nods joyfully as he rushes out to his own bedroom. Yep, this is the improving Harry, so far.
