Chapter 22: Doctor Visit
Jana's Outfit
~One Day later~
Niall’s POV
Me and Jana sit quietly in the room, waiting for the doctor to come in. We’ve been here in this room for about fifteen minutes, so he should come in soon. She already had the ultrasound done, and everything was good. We’re just hoping the doctor’s report is going to be good too.
The door opens and Dr. Braswell comes in, smiling at Jana as he sits on the stool with his clipboard. ‘’Well, good news. We were checking your weight differences and it seems that you haven’t gained much weight. How much were you before the pregnancy?’’ He asks her.
‘’Um, about 115..’’ She mumbles, not too sure of the exact measure. “Well, you weight about 140.’’ He says. ‘’But.. I’ve been.. eating.. good and stuff.’’ She mumbles, ashamed at herself as she looks over at me. ‘’Don’t worry, its normal. You’re doing very good though. Usually, pregnant women eat at least two to three times their normal eating habits. But you have been doing extraordinarily well. I’m very proud of you.’’ He smiles kindly at her.
She looks over at me, a smile on her face. ‘’Don’t worry, we can get you back down after the baby comes.’’ I whisper, assuring her she’ll be like normal before long. She nods as the doctor continues talking to us.
‘’So.. I know this might be odd for you two to answer, but I need to know the sexual rate. Have you guys been doing it regularly? Fairly at all? Or what?’’ He asks, looking at me. “We haven’t had sex since we found out.’’ I say as I glance over at Jana.
‘’Once..’’ She corrects me, sending me that “you remember what happened” look. Then it hits me, we did do it when she was about a month along. But that didn’t hurt a soul, now did it? Nope. ‘’okay. Well, I checked your blood pressure, temperature, making sure everything was still intact. And I’m glad to say that you are doing exceptionally well, Jana. And the baby is healthy.’’ He smiles one last time before standing up and walking out of the room.
‘’I’ve never been so.. upset.’’ She mumbles as I stand up, pulling her up by her hands just to get a giggle out of her. But I didn’t receive the giggle I wanted. ‘’Baby, you’re fine. “You’ll be fine. Remember last time he told you that since you ate so good the weight will go away quickly after the baby comes.’’ I remind her, a smile lightly spread on my face as I give her a peck on the lips.
‘’I love you.’’ I whisper, kissing her again. ‘’I love you, too.’’ She says back as we leave the room. I’m so ready to get home and see my Princess. Harry had watched her today. And I’m ready to see her.
~That Night~
Jana’s POV
Niall cuddles next to me as I hold my phone in my hand, my back up against the headboard. I’m texting Perrie about the baby and stuff. She’s asking tons of cute questions about him. I love this. I’ve never felt a better connection with any one. She’s the sister I never had.
‘’Jana.’’ He mumbles against my thigh. He enjoyed being close to the baby, especially while I was doing something that required me to sit up. He would just snuggle his face against my side, which tickled me majorly.
‘’Yeah?’’ I ask, curious to know what he was doing this time, last night he just talked to the baby. Which was super adorable. ‘’We need… to name our baby.’’ He says as he leans up, propping on his elbows as he rolls onto his stomach beside me. He looks over at me to see my reaction.
‘’Okay. What you got?’’ I ask, wondrous to know what he’s been thinking of. ‘’Well, his middle name has got to be James.’’ He informs me sternly. ‘’Yes sir.’’ I say with a wink as he laughs a little at me. ‘’I wanna do something with a T.’’ I suggest.
‘’Okay, like what?’’Ni asks me. ‘’I dunno.. Tyler? Taylor? T-‘’ He cuts me off by pointing to me with his index finger. ‘’Taylor! I like that one!’’ He smiles before turning onto his side, facing me, and putting his arm around my stomach.
‘’Taylor.’’ He whispers lightly as he closes his eyes. So I assume our baby’s name will be Taylor. I like that too.
‘’Goodnight, princess.’’ I mumble as I pat Niall’s head lightly. ‘’Shut up.’’ He laughs a little at my humor. ‘’Good night baby.’’ I say, appropriate name this time. ‘’Good night babe.. love you.’’ He whispers against my side.
‘’Love you too.’’ I mumble back, running my fingers through his hair like he likes for me to do when he lies down with me. ‘’Daddy loves you too…’’ I hear him whisper gently. And I soon feel a kiss being placed gently on my stomach.
I smile as I reach over and turn off the lamp, only the light of my phone lighting up the room now.
~One Day later~
