Chapter 15: Greetings
Jana’s POV
“Oh my! Look at you my dear! You’ve gotten even more gorgeous since I saw you last!’’ Maura says as she engulfs me in a warming, kind hug. She’s such a nice lady, I love her to death. ‘’MmmMmmMmm!’’ She smiles as she hugs me tightly. ‘’Mom, don’t squish my baby.’’ Niall laughs as he gently pull his mother off me and into his arms.
‘’Missed you, Baby!’’ She says, her heavy Irish accent is amazing to me. Niall’s is heavy too, so is his family’s. ‘’Okay, okay. My turn!’’ Denise smile as she hugs me gently, trying not to “squish my baby” in Niall’s words.
‘’Hi love, nice to see you again.’’ Greg smiles as he places a kiss on my cheek. ‘’Okay, Okay.. to much too much.’’ Niall jokes as he pushes Greg playfull. ‘’Oh hush.’’ He winks as he laughs with Niall. Theo is in Bobby’s arms as he walks in. He smiles at me and Theo just smiles and waves like he knows exactly who I am, even though his memory is probably blurry.
“Okay, well go over there to Perrie or Sophia and they’ll tell you guys what to do why we wait for a few more folks to show up.’’ Niall says, motioning them over to Perrie. He insisted I stand near the door, to greet people as they came in, but I don’t mind. Its just us, so that’s good!
‘’Well, looky here..’’ I hear that raspy, British accented voice of Harry’s. I turn to the door to see him leaning against the door frame, a cheeky grin on his face as he stares at me, laughing lightly to himself as he sees that I noticed the several gift bags on the ground beside him.
‘’You look wonderful, love.’’ He says as he kisses my forehead and places a hand on my stomach. ‘’Uncle Harry’s gonna spoil you, little baby.’’ He mumbles as he winks and joins the rest of the guests on the other side of the ballroom, carrying his gifts with him of course.
The door opens again, and I smile when I see the deep brown eyes of my father. ‘’Daddy.’’ I whisper as he wraps his arms around me, holding me tight. I haven’t saw him in months. It feels nice to be so close to him right now.
‘’Hey, Angel.’’ He whispers back as he kisses my cheek while leaning off me. ‘’I missed you.’’ I say with a smile as he holds my hands tightly, kissing my nose like he used to when I was little. ‘’I missed you too.’’ He assures me with a relieving sigh.
‘’How’s work goin’?’’ I ask, curious to know how he’s been. ‘’Wonderful. Its amazing at the sights I see everyday.. I’m currently in Dallas, its wonderful. You would love it. You’re welcomed to come visit any time you want, you know that.’’ He informs me as he smiles. I glance over my shoulder to see Niall sitting on the floor with Theo and Tori playing with a balloon.
‘’I think I’m perfectly fine.. here.’’ I smile as I look back at my dad. ‘’I know, honey, I was just.. suggesting.’’ He winks, understanding that I’m fine where I am.
“Well damn! I’ve never seen such a beautiful place!’’ I hear my mother’s cheerful voice. I look over my dad’s shoulder to see her standing there, she looks amazing. ‘’Mom.’’ I whisper to myself as I excuse my self from my dad and go to hug her.
‘’Oooh! My Lord! Look at you! When’s your due date, sweetie?’’ She asks as she places her hands on my stomach. I wonder why everyone likes doing that? ‘’Around September the third.’’ I tell her and she smiles as she kisses my cheek softly.
‘’Hello there, Isabella.’’ My dad says behind me. I let my mom go to turn to face him. He’s just smiling kindly as if she was just an old.. friend. ‘’Hello, Chad. Long time… no see.’’ She mumbles. ‘’Almost 5 months.’’ He whispers, as if it was a sin to say it louder.
‘’Jana? Baby?’’ Niall calls out for me. I step away from my parents to see him running to me, smiling a little as he reaches me. ‘’C’mon, we’re ready to start!’’ He says, kissing me gently. ‘’Get a room.’’ My dad laughs as Niall’s hand travels to my butt before he pulls away.
‘’Sorry, Sir.’’ He blushes hard as he grabs my hand and gently pulls me with him, my mom and dad following behind me.
I’m not too sure what he has planned, but I assume it will be fun.
