Harry's Diary

Oh crap. I purse my lips. Taylor is standing in between me and the only possible way out. I can’t go upstairs or to the kitchen either-she’ll follow me and see either Harry or the pile of Harry’s hair. There’s no doubt about it-I’m trapped here until I tell the truth. Taylor’s our valedictorian for a reason-she can’t be fooled easily. I have 2 options-tell the truth, or start a war-and both will produce undesirable results. Not that I don’t trust Taylor-hey, we’ve been friends since forever-it’s just that secrets are kept for a reason. Sometimes, the reason is as trivial as reputation, but other times, the reason is that the person may be harmed. In Harry’s case, he’s literally dead if management finds out that someone knows about what they’re doing to Harry. Now I’m no goody-two shoes, but Harry’s my friend, so why the hell would I want to kill him?

But I can’t lie to Taylor. As I previously mentioned, she’s a walking lie detector. She knows when something’s wrong, when everything’s okay, when someone’s angry, depressed or bursting with excitement. Next to Louis, she’s the best at reading emotions. Why next to Louis? Because Louis can read one other thing in people that Taylor can’t quite understand-when it’s okay to ask, and when it’s not okay to ask. Even though he didn't believe me, when I told him Harry wasn't feeling well, he knew that it was a sensitive topic, so he didn't push further. Not that I’m ranting about Taylor, it’s just that she’s your typical “OMG I heard this, I heard that” girl. She wants to know everything, and that’s her downfall.

You know those kind of movies where this girl has to choose between the hot guy she suddenly met and her childhood friend? This situation’s something like that, except that it’s a choice between risking someone’s life and risking my own, because God only knows what Taylor could do if we ever fought!
