I knew he was going to kiss me, I wanted it so bad. Meeting Harry's lips gave me hope that he was stil caring about me.
'I can't accept this and will wait as it takes. Just know that I'm here, next to you.'
His whisper made my heart beating faster and he knew how I felt at this moment. I walked away because I decided that being without him made my life a nightmare. Being with him made it a nightmare too but I prefered to be with Harry... I wanted him with all my heart and Jace was going to learn the truth.
I was walking and smiling like a small child because the freedom was near. I looked around because it was dark and there weren't many street lights.
'Where are you going, young lady?'- A man voice shouted behind me and I froze.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, realising that I had to run. My feet didn't move and I fell on the ground.
'Emma, Emma...'- He knew my name, I heard his steps and his face was so close, but I couldn't open my eyes.-'Don't be afraid. I'm Matthew, your lovely friend.'
I opened my eyes fast and hit him with my tiny fist.
'I had a mini heart attack! Are you stupid?'- I shouted to him and he grabbed my arms.
'What was that in the park?'
He saw us, he saw me and Harry.
'Are you following me everywhere? You are a sick mind!'
'I am... I'm interested in you, that's why.'
'Well, I'm not and I told you to leave me alone. I'm with Harry, you can't change that.'
'Oh, babe.'- He stroked my cheek with his hand.-'I'll told your brother.'
'Cool, but I'm going to do this first. Now for the last time- leave me alone!'
I tried to walk away but he grabbed my hand again.
'Are you sure you choose to be with Harry?'
I nodded and pulled back, but his grip was so tight.
'You'll regret, Emma. I'm Jace's boss, he'll pay for your decision.'
I couldn't believe how evil he was, but I chose to be with Harry. I didn't care about everything else.
'I'm not afraid.'
He smirked and walked away, leaving me alone. I started to run and suddenly found myself in front of my flat's door. I was ready to tell Jace, I couldn't hide this anymore.
He was watching a football game and I sat next to him in silence.
'Hi, Em! What's going on?'- He kissed me on the cheek.
'I have to tell you something...'
My whole body was shaking, I was so afraid to see his reaction. I didn't want him to hit me again, I had to be strong.
'I'm dating Harry and I know what's your opinion. He isn't hurting me and will never do it. The truth is that I'm hurting and lying to him every time and it's all because of you. I like him and he cares about me.'
'You can't do this...'
'Why? I just want to be happy, Jace.'
He squeezed my hand and I screamed.
'Do this one more time and you'll never see me again.'

He didn't say anything, but I was sure he wanted to, because Jace was hiding something. He was my brother, my family... but does your family hurt you? A family means supporting, believing, loving each other.
I just walked away and went in my room because I waited too long to hear his truth. I told him all my secrets, but Jace never told me his. This wasn't a family anymore.
