Under The Apple Tree
***Avery's POV***
I was currently in the living room -- home alone, as usual -- playing with my guitar, and thinking about Niall. Actually, mostly thinking about Niall. Gosh, I can't help, but be like those crazy Directioners who are very dedicated to them. "Niall. Niall. Niall. Niall," I kept on repeating his name in my head. I continued,"Niall. Niall. Niall. Niall. Ni-"
*DING DONG*
"Okay, who dares interrupt me when I'm in the middle of swooning over me bestfriend?" I said dramatically in my head.
*DING DONG*
"Bestfriend AKA The Love of my Life," I continued swooning."AKA My World AKA Ni-"
*DING DONG*
Ugh! Alright! "I'm coming," I yelled.
*DING DONG* *DING DONG*
Well, someone couldn't wait, could they?
*DING DONG*
"Alright! I'm coming!" I opened the front door, and there he is. I smiled at him and he returned the gesture. We just stared at each other's eyes for I don't know how long. His eyes changed into a darker shade of blue over the year. Ah, and I see he has transparent braces on. Lucky for him.
It took me awhile to wake myself up, and get out of my day dreaming stage. "Oh, Niall, I am so sorry. Come in," I said all in one breath.
"It's okay, love," he said.
He called me love. I can't believe he called me 'love'. And now I sound like those fangirls that-
"Ermm. Avery? Are you okay?" he said while waving a hand in front of my face.
"Never better," I smiled geniunely.
"Say, were you busy while I was ringing the doorbell?" he questioned.
"Ermm. No, I wasn't," I said as I shrugged my shoulders.
"Then what took you so long?" he said while chuckling.
"I was upstairs while... you...." I stuttered, and he just raised his eyebrows knowing I was lying. "Okay! Fine! I was here in the living room, playing my guitar, and thinking about the most-" Whoops! Almost slipped.
"Thinking about the most what?" he asked as he pulled crossed his arms across his chest and looking mischeviously at me.
"Thinking about..." I looked around trying to find an escape, but knowing Niall, I surely can't. But it still is worth a try. "I was just thinking about the most... awesome... idea ever?" it came out as more of a question than a statement, actually.
"Okay," he said, sitting on the sofa -- letting my lie slide. "So, what's your most awesome idea ever?" he said as he chuckled.
"That we should hang out to day. You know? Just the two of us, like old times."
"Well, okay," he stood up ."But we need to get ome food first, I'm starving," he said as he rubbed his tummy.
I laughed, and said,"Come on." I grabbed his hand with my right, and my jacket with my left.
Not long after, we were in front of Starbucks. Niall didn't hesitate to open both doors, and sniff the smell of coffee. He was really weird, but I doubt he cares.
We sat on a vacant booth by the back of the cafe for more privacy, knowing Niall.
"So, what do you want, princess?" he asked suddenly.
My eyes grew wide at what he called me. "Princess? Did you just call me 'princess'?" I asked hands down on the table.
"Ermm. No, I didn't. I would never call you that unless you're my girlfriend or something," he said sweating.
***Niall's POV***
"Ermm. No, I didn't. I would never call you that unless you're my girlfriend or something." Damn, am I sweating? But knowing what I said made my heart sink.
"Yeah. I probably just heard you wrong," she said as she sank back down to her seat.
"Do you want someting?" I asked to break the awkward atmosphere.
"Yeah, I'll just have a Mocha Frappe, and red velvet cupcake, as usual."
I heaved a sigh, and said, "Same old. Same old."
She giggled.
Man, she's so cute when she giggles.
I came back with the tray full of dessert, and two cups of coffee. It's not surprising though, knowing the both of us. Yeah, we eat ALOT. That's one of the things I like about her.
I sat down across from her in the booth.
"Hey, here's your Frappe, and your cupcake," I said as I handed her the food.
"Oh, and all of that's for you?" she said pointing at my try full of sweets.
"Yup!" he said popping the 'p'.
"You didn't forget our pack, didn't you?" she said while looking at me questionably.
"Haha. How can I forget?"
***Flashback***
"Wow, you eat alot. Now I like you even more!" I said as I bear hugged her.
We continued eating our sweets, and playing with our toys in my mum's backyard garden.
"Hey, you know what?" she asked while smiling --showing her lost tooth.
"What?!"
"We can make a pack now to never share our food to none other than each other!"
"That's a great idea!"
We pinky swore, and smiled at each other.
***End Of Flashback***
"Good. Now give me some," she said as she reached out for more food.
I pouted, and said,"You know? I don't really know why I made that promise with you. I'm starting to regret it."
"Then you should've thought before you swore," she said as she took a bite of a cookie she stole.
After eating, we decided to take a walk in the park.
We were now walking hand in hand in the park. The thought of how her hand fits in mine send tingles on my back.
We were just minding our own business until a fan came in.
"Oh my god! You're Niall Horan!" she said while jumping.
"Yeah, and-" I got interrupted.
"Oh my gosh! Are you guys dating?!" she said, and she had this hopeful look on her face.
"Ermm. No, we're not," Avery answered for me, but it made my heart sink.
"Awww. Well, I kinda hoped you guys were,"
"Yeah, me too," I thought.
"Anyway, can I take a picture of you guys?!"
"Sure!"
She slid in between us, and held her phone high. We pulled our silliest faces ever, and signed her phone case.
As we continued to walk around the park, we talked about things we missed on each other. And as I grew tired of walking, I decided to lie under the apple tree.
"Niall," she said as I laid my head on her lap.
"Hmm?" I hummed.
"I miss this," she said while playing with my blonde-brunette hair.
"Me too, Aves," I heaved a sigh. "But most of all, I missed you." I opened my eyes and look up to see her smiling down at me.
We just kept on smiling at each other, not really talking. Just looking into each other's eyes, then I decide I have to do this now.
"Avery," I said as I lifted my head up from her lap, and stared at her one more time.
"Is there something wrong, Ni?" she looked at me questionably.
"No, no, there's nothing wrong," I said as I shook my head. "There's something I need to tell you."
She sat straight. "Shoot," she said.
"Look, I know we have a really great friendship, and I know none of us don't want to ruin it," I paused to look at her. "Avery, you're the most geniune, kind, almost honest," I paused.
She giggled.
I continued, "cute, adorable-"
"Niall, get to the point," she said as she heaved a sigh.
"Look, what I'm tryin' to say is........" I looked at her. "Avery Jane Miller, will you be my girlfriend?"

Cliffhanger! Hahaha! I'm so evil! *evil laugh* Anyways, I finally finished the chapter! Yehey! Anyway, if any of you are wondering why there are two authors of this book that's because the other one is my best friend. Her name is Jessica, and she's Directioner just like me.
