Good To Know You're Still Alive
***Avery's POV***
"Avery?" he said as my face paled. "Avery? Is that really you?" he said as he started to walk close to me probably trying to give me a hug.
I jumped back.
"What's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost," he laughed his adorable laugh that I didn't know I missed so much.
"What're you doing here? Aren't you suppose to be at the auditorium? Making girls swoon over you?" I replied bitterly.
He was quite shocked at my words. Clearly, not expecting it. "What?"
I just scoffed and pushed him to the side as I exited the closet.
"Avery!" he called after me. "Avery! Wait!" he finally caught up to me, and grabbed my arm pulling me back. "What's your problem?"
"You being here that's the problem," I replied bitterly again.
"You changed,"
"Damn right I did!" I continued my bitterness.
"What's your problem!" he finally got angry. His voice echoed through the deserted hallway.
"Leave me alone, Niall!" I tried getting off his grasp.
"Not until you tell me what's up with you," he pulled me back to him both our chests touching.
I got lost in his eyes that seemed to changed into a deeper shade of blue the last time I saw it.
"I-I'm sorry," he released me.
"Me too," I sighed heavily. "Good to know you're still alive," I joked as I playfully punched his left shoulder.
He laughed. "Yeah, you too," he said as he put an arm around me, and sat on the clean, polished floor.
"I've missed you, Niall. I'm sorry for being bitter to you a while ago,"
"Nah, it's okay," he said as he put my head on his right shoulder. "Why were you though?"
I sighed before replying, "I've missed you so bad. I was mad at you for not answering my calls, and-"
"I'm sorry too," he cut me off. "For not being there for you when you needed me. I was just so busy with the album and the tour."
"Niall, it's okay. You're forgiven," I smiled at him.
He looked down at me smiling and kissed the top of my head.
I giggled. This day just couldn't get any better.
