Have you forgotten?

Rafaela's P.O.V.


I took a quick shower and went to bed. Somehow I couldn't get my mind off the way my mother has changed. I feel like our strong connection has fallen apart. She has never been like this towards me. Or maybe it really is my fault. I shouldn't 've come in the first place. I only cause trouble in her new perfect life. I feel like a storm in her beautiful sunny life now. A good thing I'm going on tour. I won't bother her then, but I'll definately go apologise to her after I'm done with the exams tomorrow. Then in the night I'll fly to London for Harry's birthday. I kinda feel excited about it.

I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off. I turned it off and groaned. I felt like I was in highschool again.

I finally managed to open my eyes and they widened when I saw it was 6:30. My exams are at 8. The university is an hour away from my town which means I have to go in 10 to 15 minutes.

I jumped out of the comfy hotel bed and took my phone, dialing a taxi number. I ordered a taxi while I searched through my suitcase for something to wear. I picked out a pair of high-waisted skinny jeans and a creme coloured tshirt with some lace over the neckline. I tucked it inside the jeans, causing them to outline my figure. I brushed through my hair and washed my face and teeth. I put on some mascara and light skin colour lipstick. Then I took a pencil and put it in my pocket. I put on a pair of creme coloured converse with a high hidden platform. I took my phone and keys and excited the room, locking it. Then I ran outside, climbing in the taxi.


„Американски университет, Благоевград.“ I told him the city and the university's name and he nodded, starting the car.

„Колкото ce мoжe по-бързo, моля.“ I asked him to drive as fast as possible and he nodded once again. We had a small talk on the way and before I knew it we were in front of the university.

„Благодаря.“ I thanked him, handing him some money and got out of the taxi. I ran inside the building and looked at my watch. It was 7:30. I had some time. Maybe I go get a coffee. I went to the cafe next to the university and ordered plain black coffee. I took my coffee and sat down in a booth trying to remember everything I had read yesterday for the exams.
A movement in front of me got my attention.

„I see, you like your coffee black. That's hot. Most of the girls like sugar or cream in it.“, Mike said, making me glare at him.


„Well, most of the girls can't beat a boy twice their size, but yet I still did.“ I looked straight into his black eyes while taking my coffee and sliding off the booth. Asshole. What was he even doing here? Is he studying here? I've never seen him before. Maybe he's new, since they just moved in my old house.
I finished my coffee and threw the cup in a trash bin.

There were 5 minutes left until the beginning of the exam, so I decided to enter the classroom. The hallways were empty, since it was Sunday. I entered the classroom, only to see Mike sitting in a chair all by himself. I didn't say anything. I just took a seat far away from him and just then the professor entered.

„Good morning, collegues.“, he said in his american accent. All the teachers here are American.


„Good morning.“, I said back.


„Rafaela, I hope you don't mind, but today you won't be the only one taking exams, as you see. Mike will start studying here from the upcoming semester. But first he needs to pass some exams.“, the teacher explained, handing me a test.


„No, not a problem.“, I said, starting my test. After about 20 minutes I was ready and so I handed my test and left for my next exam, which was biology. Soon I was done with all of my exams, so I left for the hospital to find my mom.
