Collision

Harry leads me upstairs and into an empty room. I'm not sure if I want to be in here alone with him but it's the only option right now. I go to sit on the bed but rethink it and sit down in the desk chair. I do not want to know what's been going on in that bed.

"Jess, I'm sorry." Harry says finally and sits down on the bed.

"You could at least act sincere about it." I say, taking in his dull tone. Drunk or not, he can still show emotion.

"Why did you tell me that you would come to my house when you knew you weren't?" I ask and fold my arms over my chest.

"I did plan on coming but then Louis called and he was mad that I was ditching him." He says and stands up.

"And then you ditched me to come here." I sum up.

"You could have called me and said you weren't coming. Or better yet you could have ignored Louis and stuck to your promise."

"You can't blame me for not wanting to study. It's Saturday night, Jess." He rolls his eyes.

"Don't you go to a party almost every weekend?" I ask, remembering what Anna told me about him. "It won't kill you to skip one."

"Well do you want me to come now? We could finish it by morning." He suggests.

"You're drunk and it's late. There's no way you can come to my house." If he comes to my house in this state and sees my parents, he may never leave.

"Why don't we do it someday this week? It's not due for another few weeks."

"I don't know." I say and stand up. Anna will be looking for me and this talk with Harry is draining the life out of me.

I wrap my hands around the door knob and slowly open up the door, making sure that Harry isn't following behind me.

"I'm sorry." he says but his voice sounds a million miles away as I walk down the hallway.
