Angel's and Demon's

After he had his speech I just stayed quiet. Not in a mean or rude way. Just a 'I don't have any words' kind of way. He seems okay and dropped the subject. We went on with the date and it went well. On the way home it was the normal small talk.

"Niall?" I say quietly, focused on my words.

"Hm?" He looks up from his phone. He's on twitter, tweeting back a few fans and making their lives complete.

"I had a really nice time. Thank you for taking me." I smile and he returns the gesure, holding out his arms for me. My smile gets bigger and I crawl over into his arms, snuggling into his chest.

"Oh and by the way," I start, "I like you too." He grins and rests his head on mine.

"Where are the guys?" I ask, furrowing my eyebrows.

"They went out for a bit." He says, focusing his gaze on the TV.

"So what do you wanna do? I mean, it's only 9." I ask, sitting criss cross in front of him.

"I don't know. What do you want to do?" He asks, looking back at me.

"Let's go get ice cream." I say randomly.

"Okay?" He laughs, standing up and following me out the door. I decide to walk to the ice cream shop so I start walking down the road. In about 5 minutes we get there.

"Hello. What would you like?" The girl behind the counter asks, eyeing Niall.

"One medium chocolate peanut butter in a cone. With sprinkles." I smile.

"And one medium chocolate vanilla swirl in a cone. With sprinkles." He smiles and the girl gives him a flirty smile, adding a wink. I shoot glares at her as she gets our ice cream. I hold them while Niall pays although I put up a fight to pay for mine. But in the end he won.

"We can eat this on the way." I say, exiting the shop.

We're almost there and more than half of our ice cream is gone when I feel something wet and cold hit my face. I squeal and stop in my tracks, turning to face Niall with a glare on my face.

"Really?" I scowl.

I take one last lick of my ice cream and swiftly shove it in his face. I laugh at his reaction as he freezes up. My laughter is halted my another splash of ice cream.

"Now who's laughing?" He laughs and I tackle him to the ground in the middle of his laughing fit. I pin him to the floor and smear the rest of my ice cream across his face while laughing. He squeezes his eyes shut, letting it happen because he knows there's nothing he can do. After my masterpiece is finished I laugh and he flips us over, taking the ice cream from his face and rubbing it on mine. I whine and laugh and he taps my nose lightly, leaning back but staying on top of me.

"You look horrendous." I laugh at his appearance.

"You don't look any better." He fires back, laughing.

"Hey. You know I look hot with ice cream on my face." I roll my eyes, posing. He smiles and shakes his head.

He moves off of me and helps me up, pulling me a bit too hard and I ram into his chest. We laugh and I catch him off guard by smearing more ice cream from my face onto his. He shakes his head, wiping the cold dessert off my nose. He leans in closer and his breath hits my face, the faint smell of mint gum and chocolate on his breath. I prepare myself, my eyes fluttering closed. He presses his lips to mine, making me take in a sharp breath. His lips move against mine and his arms wrap around my waist as my hands find his neck. The taste of chocolate and vanilla mixed with his lips taste amazing.

"I love you." The words leave my mouth before I can think.

His face pulls from mine, reflecting what I imagine my face looks like.

"What?" He asks in obvious shock.

"Nothing. Let's get home before the guys freak out." I say, already walking down the road.

I suppose he leaves the subject alone because the rest of the way, he keeps quiet.

"Hey guys. How'd it go?" Lou smiles once we walk through the door.

"I think it went swell." I smile, looking back at Niall who seems distant.

"Niall?" I catch his attention.

"Yea. It went alright." He smiles fakely, walking to his room.

"I'm guessing he didn't like it?" I furrow my eyebrows.

"What did you do?" Lou asks, mimicking me gesture.

"I dunno. We went out to a normal dinner. Nothing exciting happened except his speech about how he loves me. Then when we came back we went for ice cream. We were having fun and ended up smearing it all over each other." I laugh at the memory. Although I left out what I had said.

I knew it was a mistake to tell him that I love him. I don't even know if I do or not!

"Hm. Maybe the walk was too much exercise for him." He jokes and I nudge him.

"Shut up. You could use some muscle yourself." I laugh.

I walk past him and lay on the couch. I turn the TV on and turn to a random show. Before I knew it, I was fast asleep.

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't updated in forever. I've kinda been slacking on my writing. But I'm back and I'm planning on writing more as long as school doesn't get in my way again.
