Chapter 25
Page’s POV
“I’ve got time…”
Really? He just had to bloody say that didn’t he.
“Well um I don’t know if I can tell you.” I whispered while dropping my gaze to the cute slippers in front of me.
“Page please, don’t be like this. We started off so good don’t you want to get back to that?” He asked while taking another step closer to me. I backed away which gave him enough room to walk into my flat and close the door with his foot.
“I do Harry. I really do but I can’t tell you.” The silence that followed my words was not a comfortable one, it was awkward to say the least.
“God dammit Page! Just tell me!” Harry barked making me jump back in fright,
“You honestly don’t want to know!” I fought back which just seemed to make him angrier as he pulled at the roots of his hair.
“Just tell me!!!”
“No Harry!”
He paced around in front of me making me scared of his next move.
“Just please let me know what’s going on.” He pleaded, his voice dropping in volume to try and reason with me.
I closed my eyes and prepared myself for what I was about to tell him.
“I'm still in contract Harry, they couldn't get me out of it. I'm still being paid to be with you.”
Another silence fell. I slowly opened my eyes to see Harry staring at me with wide eyes.
He walked towards me so fast I didn't have a chance to wrap my brain around what was happening.
His hands were placed on either side of my face as he drew me in for a deep kiss.
“That’s what you were keeping from me all this time? That’s not so bad.” He whispered against my lips and it took everything I had in me to pull away from him and take a few steps back so there was distance between us.
“I-I'm not finished.” My voice came out just above a whisper as I looked at the ground in front of me, the hard wood floor suddenly becoming very interesting.
“What else.” He asked blankly as I shook my head.
“I can’t.”
“Please Page.”
“I really can’t. It’s too hard.” My almost inaudible pleas didn't cut it for him as he gripped onto my forearms making my gaze return to him in shock.
“Tell me now Page.”
“T-they want me to cheat on you… for publicity.”
