Page’s POV

I watched wordlessly as his hands dropped to his sides, the corners of his mouth immediately turning into a frown.

“W-what?” he broke the invasive silence, his green eyes locking with mine.

As he took a step backwards, I felt my heart break.

“Harry.” I mumbled, tears coating my cheeks. “Its management, okay? I would never cheat on you.”

“I don’t believe you. You’ve been playing me, haven’t you? Haven’t you?!” He snapped angrily.

“Please don’t, Harry.” I pleaded, covering my face with my hands as I sobbed.

Harry has never shouted at me before and seeing him like this terrifies the hell out of me.

“I’m going on tour in a few days.” He sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I-I think we need a break.”

“Are you . . . breaking up with me?”

My head snapped up to look at him. His expression was unreadable as he shook his head slightly.

“I didn’t say that, Page. I-I just need some time. This is a lot to take in, don’t you think?” He bit down on his bottom lip, his eye brows furrowed.

My head ached as I nodded. “Okay.”

“Harry . . .” I whispered after a moment of silence.

“Yes, Page?”

“I l-love you.”

It was the first time that I had ever said it and it took a lot of will power.

Instead of saying it back, he nodded, grabbed his things and left.

I can’t believe that just happened.

It’s the first time that I have ever told him that I loved him and he didn’t even say it back.

Ouch.

I curled up on my bed and cried myself to sleep.
