Chapter Two
Taylor POV
It was 5 am, but I couldn't sleep. I was getting adopted today along with my eight roommates. We are all best friends, despite our age differences. Apparently we were all getting adopted separately, which worried us. Would we see each other again?
I got up and walked to the tiny bathroom I shared with my eight other friends. I made sure to close the door before turning the light on. I turned on the water and began brushing my teeth when suddenly the door flew open behind me and scared the living crap out of me.
"What are you doing?" Scarlet asked, squinting.
"Brushing my teeth," I said as I spit some tooth paste into the sink. "What are you doing?"
"Just wonderin'" Scarlet turn around and went back to bed. I shut the door and brushed my hair.
By the time 8 am rolled around, all of the girls were rushing trying to get ready while I sat happily on my bed, waiting. I laughed at them occasionally and they would tell me to shut up.
"Taylor?" Ally asked. "Can you braid my hair?"
"Sure thing." I answered as I took the hair brush and pony tail from her hands and began working. I did a French braid that went halfway down her back.
"Thanks!" She said hopping up and walking to the mirror to look at it. "I love it!"
"Thank you!" I replied. I glanced at the clock.
"Guys, we need to get going!" I yelled. "We're going to be late!"
With that everyone finished up and went downstairs for breakfast.

We were all eating breakfast when Miss Cindy, our foster mom, came to our table to get us.
"Time to go," She said.
We all stood up and followed her to our different interview rooms. I opened the door to mine and saw someone I recognized. Then I remembered who he was.

What was he doing here?
"Hello!' He said.
"Hi," I responded, sitting down in the chair across from him. This was going to be a long interview.
