Liam's POV

I stood there in front of my former band mates. They looked at me rather mad, all but one. Niall. Niall was slowly falling apart, just like the band. The judge cleared her throat and we all looked at her. "Please take your seats, I'm ready to get this out of the way." I held onto Jillian's hand and walked over to out table and sat down. "As you all know, Jillian summers broke the restraining order, she will be sentenced two months in jail, and three years in probation." My eyes widened and I shook my head.

"No, you can't send her to jail, I broke it, it wasn't her." She tugged at my arm.

"What are you doing? Just let it be." Jillian whispered. I shook my head and stood up.

"I broke it just as much as she did so if you're going to punish one of us let it be me." I slapped my hand over my chest.

"Liam, this isn't for your punishment, it's for her." Simon called.out. "You have no choice, we pressed charges on her." I threw the chair in the air.

"You're fucking ballistic! How in the hell are you going to press charges on her? She has done NOTHING!" I yelled. "She hasn't done anything to any of you!" I looked at Louis. "I was the one who hit you, I was the one who hit harry, not her! Why is she taking full responsibility for it? She did nothing!" My yells erupting in the small court house.

"Liam, calm down." I felt a small hand on my shoulder. I looked back and saw Jillian's soft face. My fist unclenched and my anger was gone.

"I just don't think it's fair, that she's taking everything while I get nothing." I calmly said to the judge.

"I get that Mister Payne but she violated the law, and they've pressed charges on her." She pointed to Simon.

"Please Simon." My eyes darted to his as they began to spill tears. "She means more than anything to me, you can't take her away from me, look I apologize for what I've done to the boys but if they were in my situation they'd do the same." I sniffed. I looked over to Niall who had walked his way towards us.

"He's right. None of you know what she's gone through like me and Liam. Liam was trying to protect her from you two." He pointed to Harry and Louis. "The day she slapped Louis was the day she tried to commit suicide, the first time. And it wasn't because of you Louis, she was drunk, she didn't mean to slap you, she just had enough. She had enough of people leaving her side, she got tired of being alone. Hell, I get tired of being alone. But you have no idea what she's gone through and if you did you wouldn't be acting this way. Zayn walked over to us and rested one of his hands on my shoulder and another on Niall's.

"He's right. Look, I don't know what has happened in her past but I do know that she needs us right now. I don't care what kind of shit you two have against her, maybe you envy that she took Liam's heart and you guys didn't but she needs us right now. And I refuse to let you guys send her to jail." I pulled Jillian into me who had been crying her eyes out and hugged her tight.

"If you send her to jail, I quit the band." Niall's soft voice spoke. I saw Jillian shake her head.

"Niall, don't." She said through her sobs. "This is your dream, you can't give it up." He shook his head.

"No, Jillian. My dream is to make people happy and save them." I sighed and kissed her head.

"So do I." Zayn spoke. He crossed his arms and Simon crossed his arms.

"Boys, this isn't time to be playing with your careers." Simon said sternly.

"We're not playing with them. We aren't going to let her go to jail. It's four against two, we'll fight." I looked up at the judge who was smiling down at us.

"I've never seen anyone stick up for someone this much." She looked over at Simon. "I suggest you rethink your allegations." She ruffled her papers and tossed them into the trash bin.

"Alright." Simon's annoying voice called. "We won't press any charges but in return I want all three of you back in one direction, no what ids, not buts, no anythings." He stormed out leaving Harry and Louis to glare at us.

"Look guys, I'm really sorry." I tried to apologize.

"Save it Payne, we don't wanna know what you or this skank has to say about this." My blood started to boil.

"Leave it." I heard Jillian's soft voice. "It's not worth it, be the bigger person and walk away babe." I nodded and gave her a gentle kiss on the lips, pissing both Harry and Louis off. "You guys, you didn't have to to all that." She started and Niall laughed.

"Really? I was supposed to let those mean people take my best mate away from me?" Niall shook his head. "Not a chance love." He hugged her and I smiled. It was nice to see both of them happy.

"Hey, I helped too. Where's my hug?" Zayn pouted and Jillian tackled him to the floor. "Whoa there Jillian." He chuckled and I laughed as I pulled Jillian up.

"Come over to my place so we can catch up, yeah?" Jillian jumped up.

"We'll be there." Both Zayn and Niall said in unison.

"But Niall, how are you going to choose pancakes over waffles?" Jillian groaned out. I shook my head and chuckled.

"Those two are unbelievable." Zayn said sitting next to me.

"Indeed." I smiled and looked over to Jillian as she smiled. She had a wonderful smile. I love seeing her happy, the way her eyes squint and the crinkles stretch through her skin.

"You really like her don't you?" Zayn's voice interrupted my thought.

"I love her." I smiled and took Niall's guitar into my hands.

"Love. Wow." Zayn smirked. I started playing with the cords to Little Things. "You're going there?" He chuckled and I nodded. I quickly got her attention. Niall smirked and nodded for me to begin.

"I'm in love with you and all your little things." I sang the last note. My eyes focused on Jillian's who had tears coming down her cheeks. I quickly placed the guitar on Zayn's lap and went over to her. I pulled her up and sat on her spot. I pulled her onto my lap, she nuzzled her head in the crook of my neck. "I love you Jillian Summers." I kissed the top of her head and Niall Aw'd.

"You guys are gonna make me cry." He fanned his eyes with his hand and Zayn chuckled.

"Come on drama queen, let's leave these love birds alone for today." Zayn pulled Niall up and they quickly left before both me and Jillian could protest.

"I love you too Liam Payne." She kissed my lips once more as I felt the butterflies that have been in the pit of my stomach since day one.
