Please Stay With Me

I was honestly nervous as hell for this date tonight. I wasn't the best when it comes to girls so I was scared to fuck it up, especially with Rebecca. The moment I saw Rebecca I was absolutely attracted to her. She has these beautiful hazel colored eyes you just want to stare into all the time, and this angelic face you find yourself staring at when you don't even realize it.

I remember when Gabriella first introduced us to her. I knew then that I had to make this girl mine. She gave me butterflies and I hadn't even talked to her yet. She introduced herself to me last out of all the boys. I think I made her nervous because she wouldn't look me in the eyes and she stuttered whenever I asked her name. If only she knew how I was feeling at that point. I really wanted to impress her tonight so I tried to look my absolute best.

I was fucking ecstatic when Gabby told me Rebecca agreed to this date. I planned on taking her to Nando's for dinner and let her pick the movie of course. It’s been a while since I’ve been on a date so I’m hoping I didn't lose the charm completely. I needed to do this right, I had to be the ultimate gentleman. The pressure was on I guess you could say.

Driving over to her house my hands started to sweat. Shit I was more nervous than I thought. I pulled up to her flat and took a couple deep breathes before getting out. I knocked on her door and heard a bunch of rummaging on the inside. What was she doing in there?

“Just a second!” She shouted. I was silently praying Rebecca was a tad bit nervous. That would calm my stomach honestly. Damn I knew deep down she wasn't nervous, she probably goes on dates all the time. Plus she always seems confident and as far as I know confident people didn't tend to get nervous.

“Hey Niall!” She finally opened the door and pulled me into a hug. She kissed my cheek and I felt my cheeks heat up. Damn it she is making me blush. I admired her, she looked absolutely beautiful.

“Um.” I cleared my throat “ These are for you.” I handed her the bouquet of flowers I had picked up before arriving. My mother always told me “if you want to impress a woman bring her flowers, it lets her know you put some effort into seeing her.”

“Oh my, thank you so much! That’s so sweet of you Niall!”

“You’re welcome Rebecca. Are you ready to go?” I said smiling.

“Yeah just let me put these in water first.” Okay this wasn't so bad. I think I could do this.

Dinner went smoothly and I found out we had more in common than I thought. She is such a sweet girl really, I’ve enjoyed every minute of this date so far. As we pulled up to the cinema I noticed a lot of people here. I hope I didn't get recognized on my date with Rebecca because that would surely ruin the date if a bunch of fans started swarming us. We made our way to the box office and there was a small line but I kept my sunglasses on, despite it being dark outside.

“What movie do you want to see?”

“No you're my date and I insist. Whatever makes you happy.”

“Um 22 Jump Street?” She said smiling. Her smile was beautiful, she could bring any man to his mercy just by smiling. I was secretly hoping she would pick that movie though, I loved comedies.

As we made our way through the theatre I kept my sunglasses on. We sat at the very top, hopefully nobody would notice us up here. We sat down and the movie started to play. I’ve been laughing pretty much since the movie started, so had Rebecca which made me smile knowing we both enjoyed a good laugh. Half way through the movie I saw Rebecca scooting closer to me from the corner of my eye. I was having a debate with myself if I should make a move or not. I didn't want to be too forward because I still wanted to remain gentlemanly. Putting my arm around her was fine right? I mean it wasn't too suggestive.

I acted like I had to yawn, yes I did the move and put my arm around her shoulder. Surprisingly she scooted in closer to me and interlocked our fingers with my hand that was jus dangling there. We sat like that for the rest of the movie and she even rested her head on my shoulder. The movie ended and I was happy I made it through the entire date without being recognized.

“OH MY GOSH IT’S NIALL HORAN!” I heard a girl scream and pretty soon half on the cinema was crowding around Rebecca and me. Shit and there was paparazzi outside. I pulled Rebecca closer to me and interlocked our hands so I wouldn't lose her in the sworn of people.

“Stay close to me and keep your head down. Don’t answer any questions just keep moving.” I whispered in her ear and she nodded and we headed outside. Immediately the paparazzi began to crowd around us.

“NIALL!” Flash.

“OVER HERE NIALL!” Flash.

“IS THIS YOUR NEW GIRLFRIEND NIALL?” Flash.

“MISS WHATS YOUR NAME?” Flash.

“ARE YOU NIALLS NEW GIRLFRIEND?” Flash.

“ NIALL HOW LONG HAVE YOU TWO BEEN TOGETHER?” Flash.

“ HEY I’M TALKING TO YOU!” I heard one of them scream and my arm was pulled back. One of the paparazzi had grabbed Rebecca. Oh hell no.

“HEY DON’T YOU TOUCH HER!” I grabbed a hold of the mans shirt. “YOU CAN PUT YOUR HANDS ON ME ALL YOU WANT BUT DON’T YOU EVER TOUCH HER!” I yelled and threw the man on the floor. I grabbed Rebecca’s hand and we made our way to the car as fast as we could.

“Hey I’m sorry that happened. I didn't mean for the paps to ruin our date and I’m even more sorry that, that stupid prick put his hands on you.” I said sighing. Everything was going perfect until the stupid paps had to ruin it. She must have noticed I was feeling down because she grabbed my hand.

“Hey Niall, the date wasn't ruined at all. This has been the best date I’ve ever been on. You knew you could possible get recognized but you did it any way just to take me on this date.”

“I did it because you're worth it Rebecca.”

“Thank you defending me Niall.” She said smiling and kissed my cheek. She grabbed my hand and we held hands the entire drive home. When we arrived at her apartment I walked her to her door to make sure she was safe.

“Thanks for taking me out tonight Niall. I had a great time,” She said unlocking her door.

“Do you maybe want to do this again sometime?”

“I’d like that.” I smiled at her.

“Awesome. Have a good night Rebecca.”

“You too Niall.” She said hugging me then entering her apartment and closing the door. Fuck I should have kissed her. I didn't even try so she probably thinks I’m an a total wuss. I heard her door open again.

“Um Niall?”

“Yes?”

“Why didn't you try and kiss me good night?” She took my actual thoughts and put them into words.

“Uh I was trying to be polite. I didn't want to be too forward.” I said as I scratched the back of my neck.

“Stop being a wuss for once.” She said as she marched up to me and pulled the collar of my shirt and kissed my lips. She pushed me against the wall in the hall way and continued kissing me. She wrapped her legs around my torso and kept kissing me. We were cut off by one of her neighbors.

“Uh hm” Rebecca unwrapped her legs from me and pulled her dress down looking at her neighbor. Both of our cheeks turned red, feeling slightly embarrassed for getting caught making out in the hallway by her neighbor.

“Sorry Mrs. Wilson.” She rolled her eye and went back into her apartment.

She wiped my lips with her finger trying to get the lipstick off I’m sure. She kissed me one last time and hugged me.

“Now good night Niall. For real this time.” She said smirking at me.

“Good night Rebecca.” I said smiling. I walked to my car and sat inside for a few moments. Holy shit I thought to myself. This girl was amazing. I took out my phone to text Gabby.
