Give me love like this

Liam's POV

After our amazing snorkeling experience we all head back to the boat for some relaxing. I couldn't get over how beautiful everything was under the water. So clear, the fish were fun to watch. I only got my snorkel filled with water once when I tried to touch a fish that I thought was a lot closer to me then it actually was. I noticed Codi a few times, she looked perfect in the water just swimming around. She never said anything to me about my arm around her waist, so I'm assuming she didn't mind. A smile appears on my lips when I think about it.

After everyone is on the catamaran, they pull up the stairs and we start heading off towards open water. Our parents are below deck but my sisters, Codi, and Maggie are on the front where the nets are just lounging and talking. It's nice to not have to worry about cameras. No one knows I'm here, and I'm glad.

The water is getting pretty rough and I'm starting to not feel very well. I bring my legs up and rest my head between them trying to calm my nerves.

“Liam, are you ok?” Codi asks as she's bouncing around, she looks concerned, I must not look good.

“I'm starting to not feel very well. Think I should go below deck and hopefully that will make it better.” I say as I start to get up but can't quite make it. Codi rushes to my side.

“Here, I'll help you. Guys, I'm going to take Liam below deck, I think he's going to puke.” She says looking at everyone.

“Feel better Le-le!” Nicola says as she continues to bounce with choppy waves, doesn't seem to bother her much.

We make our way down, I'm grateful for Codi, I don't know if I could have made it on my own. She guides me to a table and commands me to sit down. She says something I can't understand and walks away. I close my eyes to try to shake off the nausea.

“Liam? You ok?” She asks lightly shaking my arm. “I brought you some ginger water and crackers.” Thank God.

“I'll be fine, thank you.” I sit up and lean against the wall, grabbing the water from her and taking a drink. Ginger isn't my favorite but I'll drink it when I have to. I lean back over the table and close my eyes. I've been on boats before, I've never felt like this before.

I place my right hand on Codi's thigh to steady myself. I feel her arm come behind my back and start tracing circles all over. It's nice and relaxing. So nice that the next thing I know I hear Codi whispering in my ear.

“Liam, were almost docked. Time to wake up sleepy head.” I sit up with a jolt and realize my hand is still on her thigh. I take it off and notice I've left a red mark on her from it being there for so long.

“How long have I been out?” I ask rubbing my eyes, I'm so tired. Why didn't my parents help me out, Codi should be enjoying her trip.

“Just a half an hour, I figured if you weren't feeling well, taking a nap would at least get you through the trip.” She says with a giggle. “Your parents came over to help but when they noticed you were sleeping I told them you would be okay, they went back to having drinks with my parents. I think our parents are actually drunk.” Codi and I just start laughing as we look over to them and notice they are very much drunk.

“Well thanks for helping me out, I owe you one.” I say as I try to stand up my sea legs don't help me much, Codi quickly comes to my rescue helping me balance. How embarrassing.

“No problem, that's what friends are for!” She helps guide me to the exit and onto the dock. I feel much better on dry land. We make our way to the van that is transporting us back to the hotel. Our parents are for sure drunk, they're laughing, super loud, and can't walk a straight line for the life of me. It's quite funny. I don't think I've ever seen my parents like this. Codi and I are to the van first and we make our way to the back. I lean against the window as Codi sits next to me, I place my hand on her thigh again and look at her with a smile. She smiles back at me and puts her hand over mine, I turn it over to lace our fingers together and we ride the rest of the way back in silence. I'm really starting to like her.
