Give me love like this

Codi's POV


Well, Liam and I held hands. We didn't say anything to each other. I don't know if it was because he didn't feel well or if it's because he might like me more than a friend. I felt terrible that he didn't enjoy the boat ride. Though the waves were a lot more rough then the crew had anticipated. When Liam was sleeping on the boat I overheard them talking about how they wouldn't usually take a catamaran when it was this choppy. I'm just glad he started to feel better the closer we got to the hotel. Of course we parted ways, he had to help his parents get to their room and Maggie and I defiantly needed to help my parents get to theirs. It was like they had a wild frat night, during the day. But I do love how much our families are getting along.

“So now what can we do?” Maggie asks as she opens the balcony door. She turns to sit on the table and prop her feet up on the closest chair.

“I don't know. It was a long afternoon, its almost 6. Maybe we should get dinner and catch the after dinner show?” I suggest.

“Sounds like a plan. You want to shower first or shall I?” She asks.

“How about we both shower? You can shower here and I'll pop over to mom and dads and shower in their bathroom, they're out of it anyway.” I laugh, I've never seen them like this but I do like that they can relax and let loose.

“Sounds like a plan, see you in a bit.” She says as she makes her way to the bathroom and shuts the door.

Half and hour later

I finish putting my hair in a fishtail braid off to the side, it usually takes forever but it looked good on the first try. My parents are knocked out, but we leave a note just in case they wake up. Maggie and I decide to wear dresses to dinner. It's nothing fancy, it will be the same thing as breakfast and lunch, just a buffet of food. Maggie is wearing a purple sundress and brown sandals, she put her wet hair up in a tight bun, I decided to wear my mint green maxi dress with my brown sandals. Maggie grabs the key and we take off towards the lobby area.

It's close to 6:45, it's not dark yet but you can see them setting up the stage for tonight's show. The complex has three pools, there is a moat that surrounds the stage with a bridge from the seating area to the actual stage. It has a deeper part to the pool, it's not all shallow but it's quite large. I don't know what we have in mind tonight but there is still quite a few people still in their swimwear lounging on the chairs.

Maggie and I grab some food and make our way to a small table by some flower beds.

“So, you and Liam huh?” She asks with a sly smile. I almost choke on my lemonade.

“What? I don't know what you're talking about.” I try to lie and defend myself from what might become a verbal attack, with love of course.

“I saw you two on the boat, when he was sleeping he had his hand on your thigh. And I saw you two holding hands in the van. Fingers laced and everything, the whole way back. I told you he had a thing for you. Care to explain?” She asks again.

“I don't know what to do. He was the one who has started everything. I don't know what that means. He's cute, I feel like we get along really well, but I mean, I'm not someone he can just have a fling with. I'm not that kind of person no matter how famous you are.” I say as I pick at my food, suddenly not hungry.

“Well no one said you have to sleep with him Codi. Maybe you should just go with it. If he tries to kiss you either let it happen or say no. You'll have to talk to him sooner or later though. Were only staying till Friday, and it's Sunday. I know it seems like a long time, but it's really not, you have four days, and at the end of the week were going home to Minnesota, and he's staying her or going to London. So be brave for 20 seconds.” She demands.

“You're right. But lets not dwell on this tonight. I hardly get to hang out with you since I've moved home and you're still at school.” I try to change the subject.

“Well, we'll hang out. Just don't let this opportunity pass you by. You and Liam have something, don't let this be something you regret.” She's still on the subject of Liam.

“I get it.” I'm getting a little frustrated with this topic. “But I'm not like you, I'm a little bit more shy around guys then you are, I'm not just going to go up to him and make out with him and tell him I like him." As much as I want to, " We're probably jumping to conclusions though, he just didn't feel well today.” I try to rationalize.

“Whatever Codi. I'm not an idiot, I can see things. You've only known him for a day and he's already holding your hand and helping guide you places? Michael was the same way when I met him.” She explained.

“I've never heard that story, tell me!” Once again trying to change the subject, I know my plan worked because Maggie starts smiling instantly.

“Well, as you know Michael is on the football team at school, so hes gone like every weekend for games, but on my first day of classes I had Intro to Geography, its in the lecture hall so you know it has like 500 students in it and Michael sits by me out of everybody there. We all signed into class and the grad teacher asked if their was any student athletes to see who needed another person to get their notes when they were gone. Normally professors don't care, its your job to get notes if you're going to be gone but this one did, Michael raised his hand and when the grad teacher asked who would get his assignments, he just looked at me and said that I would. I was so confused because I had no idea who he was or why he was volunteering me.” She takes a break to finish up her food and drink.

“So then we spent a few hours on Sundays together to go over what happened in class and as the weeks went on we spent more and more time together. He came to our dance competitions that were in Minneapolis and got you and I those tickets to his games. Then over Thanksgiving he kept calling me even though he was home in Chicago and when he came back after break we all went to a party, we both didnt drink but everyone was getting crazy so Michael asked me if he wanted me to walk him home, I said yes and he kissed me. And that's how everything happened, the rest is history. I know everything happened so fast, but I love him and he loves me and its just weird but I know he's the one.” Shes glowing while she's talking about him.

“That's so cute.” I just can't believe my little sister whose 18, almost 19, is already with the love of her life.

“We've already talked about getting married, but we don't plan on that for a while. Micheal wants us to focus on school and he's going to put a lot into football. He wants to go pro but if he can't he just wants to play as best as possible until football is over. And he wants me to keep dancing and do what I love. He's super supportive, always makes sure we finish our homework before we have fun. He's responsible but he's so funny. I mean, you know, you've met him”

I nod my head. I have met Michael, quite a few times. He fits in with our family so well, I know they're going to be together forever. I'm quite jealous they're both so young and in love, but I'm only 20 so it's not like I don't have time, but still.

We finish up our food and make our way to the plastic lounge chairs for the show. Apparently it's a hypnotist, those are always funny to watch.

After the show we make our way back to our room. The sun was down and it was dark outside. You can only see the spots where the lights shine but you can hear all the people talking and the waves crashing. Today has just been strange, the only way I can explain it as I toss and turn in bed, thinking of the one and only, Liam Payne.
