Codi's POV

We had a fantastic day. Liam and my parents finally awake from the dead and spend all day chatting with each other, like their kids don't even exist. Its okay though, we all get along so well it doesn't matter. We went para sailing two at a time. Geoff went twice so Liam wouldn't have to go alone. It was so much fun. Liam and I held hands and sat next to each other, the van ride over and on the boat. Karen asked what was going on between us two, she had a twinkle in her eye, you could tell she was excited/hopeful. When Liam explained to everyone that we were just taking it as it comes, our parents all looked to each other and erupted in laughter. We were so confused.

Turns out yesterday on the catamaran, they were already making bets about how long it would take us to get together. Karen and my mom were so happy, it looked like they were already making wedding plans telepathically. Can you believe that? We've known each other for two days, and we've only hugged and held hands. Parents.

Mom invited the Payne family to our fancy dinner. I guess it's just another place to have dinner at the complex but everyone dresses up and it's more secluded then the open eating area downstairs.

Maggie and I took a nap when we got back from our excursion, it was nice to relax for a minute. Our parents woke us up by pounding on our adjoining door and yelling to us that we only have an hour to get ready. We both jump up and I run to the shower. Maggie took one right after we got back, she just had to dry her hair all the way and get dressed. I had to do it all.

We were all leaving our room to make our way to “fancy dinner”, or eating at this restaurant called “Blue Moon Bay”. Mom and dad were all dressed up, Maggie was wearing a short red dress with her hair curled and pulled to the side, while I was wearing a coral colored tank top dress, my go to brown sandals and my hair loosely curled down my back.

Making our way down the stairs and across the sidewalk, we see that they're already setting up for tonight's show. I had talked to David when I got back and found out that they're going to have flame eaters and flaming baton twirlers today, I was looking forward to it, I've never seen that before.

Blue Moon Bay is upstairs, once we get up there we notice only a few people are there, they Payne's are apparently running a little late. We all settle in to our seats, Maggie makes sure an open seat is next to me, of course. After breaking into some bread, the Payne's finally arrive.People re-arrange, our mom's sit together, and our dad's sit together. Maggie wants to sit next to Nicola and Ruth. Of course, Liam and I still sit next to each other.

After everyone has started eating their food, I notice Liam's right hand creeping towards my thigh. The table is not as large as I would have liked so we're all sitting pretty close together. As soon as his hand touches my skin I stop breathing. Not for long, obviously, but it still makes me stop. He's looking at me with his perfect brown eyes, we exchange smiles and continue to eat. It's so weird how comfortable I feel with him, even when we don't even speak.

We finish up dinner and all decide to go to the show together. We all take seats around the stage on the plastic lounge chairs eager for the show. Once again, Liam and I sit next to each other and enjoy the show. It was crazy. Flames being thrown in the air, people dancing with flames, eating flames, throwing flames at each other, just nuts. I seriously thought someone was going to die during the show, but as crazy at it looked I'm sure everyone was actually careful.

It was getting late after the show, not super late but we've been up early everyday and going all day, so late to all of us is like 10. And tomorrow is Maggie's birthday so we have to get some rest, I know she'll want to go all out all day tomorrow. I would too if I was spending my birthday in a tropical oasis. Liam and I are walking hand and hand as we walk back towards our buildings. Our parents were in front chatting already about what everyone was going to do tomorrow. Apparently we were just going to spend our whole vacation with the Payne family, not that I was going to complain but not exactly how I planned this vacation to go.

Liam stopped in the middle of the sidewalk and pulled me back towards him. I was nervous, we talked all night but I didn't know what this was coming to.

“So.” He starts and scratches the back of his head with his free hand. “You want to eat breakfast with me tomorrow?”

“Um, sure. We both seem to get up early, meet you around 7:30?” I say as I start to move forward, I have no idea why he stopped me to ask me if he wanted to eat breakfast together. But Liam still doesn't move, I'm once again pulled back.

“7:30 is perfect, Codi?” He asks, scooting closer to me.

“Yes Liam?” I ask, what is he doing? He's making me nervous, of course Liam can make me nervous just by looking at me.

He wraps his free arm around my waist and pulls me in towards him, I'm looking down, I don't want to assume I know what's going to happen. Before I can think, he pulls my chin up towards him and leans in for a kiss. Not a make out crazy kiss. A smooth, light, breathless kiss that leaves me wanting more. But Liam, being a gentleman, that was it.

I think I'm frozen in place.

I've never experienced a kiss like that.

“Well, we should catch up.” Liam says as I'm still standing there, were still looking at each other.

“Um, yeah.” I turn towards everyone else, our hand's still laced together as we make our way towards my complex, it's closer then his. Our families are long gone. He walks me up to my room and pulls me in for a hug. I breath him in as I close my eyes. I need to remember all of this, I don't know how long it will last. He pulls away and kisses my cheek. That's it?

“See you at breakfast?” He asks with a twinkle in his eye and a slight grin on his lips.

“Yes sir, 7:30.” I say as I salute him and swipe my card and open the door. His hand still lingers on mine as I begin to walk away, Liam pulls me back and puts his lips on one one more time. This time with more passion, more force. I wrap my arms around the back of his head as he wraps his arms around my waist and brings me in closer, I turn my head and put more pressure on the back of his head to make him closer. I open my mouth just slightly and his tongue finds its way in rather quickly. Just a little bit longer and we pull away.

“Um, I should probably let you get some rest.” He stammers while he runs his hand through his hair.

“Yeah, breakfast tomorrow.” I remind him as I turn and run right into the door. Apparently while we were kissing, the door had shut again. That's embarrassing. I put my head on the door hoping Liam didn't just see that and I hear a chuckle.

“No making fun! You distracted me, this is all your fault.” I say trying to poke fun.

“Oh yes, totally my fault.” He says as he puts his arms in the air as in defeat. We both begin laughing as I dig my card key out once more and try again. When it opens I turn towards him with a smile to see he's already smiling.

“Good night Liam.” I simply state.

“Good night Codi, sleep well.”

I walk in the door, close it and fall against it, sinking to the floor. Taking this moment in.

“Oh my god, you kissed Liam Payne!!!!” My sister almost yells.

“Jesus, you scared the shit out of me! Don't yell! Did you see it?” I ask, great.

“Well, yeah. You opened the door just a touch then I heard some noises and the door shut so I looked through the peep hole. Nice one walking into the door by the way.” She giggles.

“You watched us kiss?' I question, a little annoyed.

“Of course! Not every day my sister makes out with a famous pop star who likes her. This is like a fairy tale! You meet, run into each other, you help him when he's sick, he always wants to hold your hand, and now you're kissing and have a standing breakfast date! Ugg, so romantic.” She's gushing about my “relationship” with Liam. She pulls me up from the floor and we walk towards the beds.

“Well, it was just a kiss. I can't think anything more of it.” I try to justify my feelings and brush them aside.

“Would you STOP saying that? Or saying it to try to convince yourself that if you keep saying it that it means nothing? You're LYING!” Maggie is practically yelling at me. “I know what love is, and I know it when I see it. Stop trying to downplay your feelings to consider his or other peoples, think for yourself for once. Put yourself out there!” Maggie has always been ahead of her years, this just puts it into perspective.

I throw myself on the bed with my arms out. “Fine. I like him. That kiss was the best first kiss I've ever had in my life. And now we only have Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday left together.”

Maggie plops herself next to me and lays down, turns her head and looks at me. “Finally, the truth comes out. Don't worry about your time left, we'll figure it out. You two will figure it out. What's meant to be will always find a way.”

“You sound like a movie, Maggie.” I laugh. “But thank you.”

“You're welcome. Just because you're my big sister doesn't mean I don't have some advice every now and then to give. Lets get some rest, its my birthday tomorrow, and you have a breakfast date!” She jumps off my bed and grabs pajamas to change into.

I'm still laying there as she turns off the lights. I kissed him. We kissed. I can't not think of how things will turn out, but hopefully I can push it to the back of my brain for as long as possible.
