Surviving

Ah, you don't understand how good it feels to sleep after being wake so long. 6 full fucking days without sleep. I wouldn't have been able to do that last year. Something about this island makes your brain go crazy.

Anyway, all things must come to an end. I slowly opened my eyes to see Harry and Zayn hovering over me. Like an old show when some one passes out. But I didn't pass out. I slept for the first time in 6 fucking days.

"MMMMMHMMMMM." I cleared my throat loudly and they backed up.

"Hey, how was your sleep? " Harry smiled kissing my cheek.

"Fantastic, how about you?" I sat up.

"Pretty damn good." he said. I giggled.

We all stood up and walked into the shelter. The first thing I realized is that the group one people were gone, leaving Louis and Paige still in the house. They must've left while we slept.

"So, group one starts rafts? Is that the smartest idea? I mean, they aren't the brightest." Paige sighed.

"Well, we can check their work. And besides, they could fuck up our work." I explained and she nodded.

"Makes sense." She smiled at me and we sat down in front of the fire.

Louis Zayn, and Harry were talking about something, probably guy stuff, so I ignored it and turned to paige.

"So, Paige, did you always like singing?" I started the conversation, leaning on my elbow, laying on my stomach.

"Actually yes. I used to make YouTube videos but they never got many views. What about you?" She followed my action.

"I loved singing since I could talk. I used to walk around the playground at recess singing by myself." I smiled.

"That's nice. Who do you think is the best singer here?" Paige asked and I pondered for a moment.

"The best girl singer would be... you, and the best guy singer would be ... Zayn." I said.

"Honestly, I think it's you and Harry. But thanks."

"You too." I smiled.

"Why do you think Zayn is?" She asked me. I thought for a second.

"His voice is beautiful and can get really deep and high." I gestured with my hand.

"Actually, now that you say it, he is a pretty good singer..." she made a face, putting her fingers on her chin.

"But you're better." I giggled.

"No, you're the best." She pointed dramatically at me.

"No you are!" I pointed back.

"No you are!" She said.

"Boys!!!" We yelled in sync.

They all turned their heads toward us. We all laughed at that, then we said again at the same time,

"Who's the best singer in the group?" They all waited and thought for a second, before answering at the same time,

"Toni." Then they looked back at whatever they were doing. "Ha!" Paige pointed in my face.

I pouted, "You win this round..."

We giggled and changed the subject.

"So, what's your favorite color?" She asked.

"Purple. What about you?" I shifted so that I was laying on my side with my elbow on the ground.

She faced me, doing the same. "Same. Favorite food? " she asked.

"Spaghetti. You?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Same." She sat up a little.

"What's your favorite letter and why?" I asked. Surely she and I dont have that the same.

"H, because it's 8th in the alphabet and 8 is my lucky number." She said. Wtf.

"Holy shit. Mine too. And eight is my lucky number too!" I squealed. "Okay, favorite song?"

"Uhm, Judas by Lady Gaga." She smiled.

"MINE TOO!!!" I squealed loudly.

We stood up and jumped around. I thought of a question that definitely won't be the same. "When is your birthday?" I asked, still jumping.

"March 23." No fucking way.

"MINE TOO!!!!!" we held hands and jumped up and down.

All three guys looked at us like we just proposed to turtles. Yea. The look was that weird.

"Don't look at us like that, I just found my best friend." I pouted jokingly. "We're soulmates."

"Yea. Watch out Louis. I might steal your girlfriend." She laughed evilly.

"Good luck with that." He snorted. I giggled. We were still jumping.

Paige yelled, "She will be mine!" and sat down quickly. I sat down next to her again.

"Screw Louis." She said. The first thought that came to mind was 'already did.'

"You're mine!" She screamed.

I giggled and walked over to louis, kissed his lips, and walked inside to get a snack.

The group sat around the fire. Paige and I were still giggling about the previous events from today. That was honestly weird. We didnt tell anyone about it other than the three guys.

"So, how did the rafting go?" I smiled, leaning onto Paige's shoulder.

"It went quite well. We have to basic main frame built, and we have a ton of wood stacked at the beach so we did well today. You smart people can check it out tomorrow." Once again, Alexis took charge. God damn.

"How did food collecting go?" Niall asked. Of course you'd ask that. You eat all day long.

Then I remembered that we didn't search at all. My group all looked around at each other before Harry spoke up. "We couldn't find anything. "

"Eh. We might have some luck tomorrow." Violet said. I sighed, looking at Effey, who was sitting in Zayn's lap. Awww. Effey loves him so much.

I crawled over to Zayn and took Effey gently, and smiled at Zayn. I crawled back to my seat between Paige and Louis. I heard a mumble coming from Paige.

She sang under her breath. She was singing Judas by Lady Gaga, our favorite song.

We all were tired by the end of today. Even my bestie was asleep. The only ones awake were Zayn, Harry, and me. Zayn kept giving me a look, telling me to sleep. But I didn't.

I saw harry looked upset, so I said, "what's wrong?"

He snorted, "Why don't you ask your bff what she thinks." Ohhh. He's upset because he's my best friend but he thinks Paige replaced him.

"Harry. She isn't my best friend. You always have been, always will be. Always." I kissed his cheek and hugged him.

I was so comfortable that I couldn't keep my eyes open. I soon fell asleep in Harry's arms.
