The Concert!
Zayn’s POV
Everyone could tell something was up between Harry and Carly when she didn't take the open seat next to him in the car, she took the seat next to Liam in the front. They were making small talk while I tried to keep her friends entertained. It wasn’t difficult; they were pretty funny so it made my job easy. Haelo knew her music so when I didn’t know the artist, she did and Chelsea was a complete dork and damn was she harsh.
“Hey guys, guess what?” Liam asked turning the radio down. “We’re less than two blocks away!”
We all cheered from the backseat and then laughed at ourselves. Harry was sulking in the back row with Louis and Eleanor. I could tell she didn’t want to be back there but I knew that if I sat there, Harry would probably hit me so I stuck with my seat. Louis always knew how to deal with Harry, no matter how mad he was.
Liam drove slowly past the arena; fans were lined up around the block with band tees on and smiled plastered on their faces. I turned back to the girls while they admired the fans.
“Something else we didn’t tell you is…we have backstage passes.” Their faces lit up with excitement.
“How?” Eleanor asked form behind me.
“I know a few of them so they gave us backstage passes.” I looked at her and smiled.
“This is why we keep you around.” She giggled touching my shoulder.
“Harsh!” Chelsea laughed.
Carly’s POV
“Zayn!” The lead singer of Pierce the Veil, Vic, called out.
He was short with long dark brown hair. He was wearing a backwards snapback and a sweatshirt while a few other bandmates stood behind him.
“Hey Vic.” Zayn smiled and they bro-hugged. “How’s it going? It’s been so long.”
“I know, I’ve been good. So, who are these lovely people?” He asked referring to us.
“This is Louis, Eleanor, Liam, Chelsea, Haelo, Harry and Carly.” Zayn pointed to each of us.
“I’m Vic.” He smiled at each of us but stopped at Harry and me. “You guys are dating right?”
Harry didn’t say anything, he just looked at me with those puppy dog eyes. My cheeks burned and I looked back at Vic.
“Yea.” I mumbled out.
“You guys look good together. Just go mingle and talk to whoever. If you need anything just ask.” He smiled and started a conversation with Zayn and Liam.
“Carly?” Harry asked before I could walk away, so I turned around and looked into his eyes. “I really am sorry. I understand that you guys are friends and I need to respect that. I’m just super insecure and don’t want to get hurt.”
“I accept your apology and forgive you. I don’t get why you're insecure but I accept it. I don’t want to get hurt either.” I laced my fingers with his like we did just 24 hours ago. “Can we just go back to being happy?”
“Of course.” He smiled and pressed his lips to my cheek.
We pulled back and walked toward a group of three guys that I would recognize anywhere. Two of them had their backs to us so we walked around to stand next to one of them.
“Oh hey.” Jaime, the one with super spikey hair smiled at us.
“Hi.” Harry mumbled.
“This is Jaime, Tony and I’m Mike.” The guy wearing basketball shorts introduced us to the band.
“I’m Carly and this is Harry.” I smiled and looked at each of them.
“It’s nice to meet you guys.” Jaime added before getting to know us.
Harry left with Jaime and Mike a few minutes after we started talking so now it was just Tony and I. He was super shy around people but when you get him alone, man can he talk; he had me in tears from laughing so hard.
“Dude, stop. I cant breath.” I laughed out, holding my sides.
“Okay okay.” He chuckled. “So how long have you and him been together?”
“Technically, about a week but we’ve been talking for about a month.” I shrugged.
“Oh, that’s cool. Sorry if that was too personal.” He blushed.
“No, you're fine.” I laughed.
“Okay, well…what’s up with Chelsea? Is she single or what?” He asked bluntly.
“Yea, she’s single.” I almost laughed again. “Why?”
“I don’t know.” He kinda sucked at lying but I ignored it.
“Okay, well just to let you know, she thinks you're cute and definitely wants to be friends, maybe even more.” I smiled politely and walked away.
“Carly, are you good at beer pong?” Vic asked me from the sideline of the stage.
“Kinda.” I shrugged as he draped his arm around my shoulder.
“Kinda? You kicked Harry and Zayn’s ass last week.” Niall laughed from my other side.
“Well, we’re gonna get the table and cups and stuff to interrupt their set so us three and Tony against Jaime, Mike, Zayn and Harry?” He asked with an enthusiastic smile.
We both nodded before he walked away. I looked at Niall and stuck my tongue out and he did the same. Tony and Jaime ran past us and on stage with 2 folding tables.
“Come on!” Mike cheered grabbing my hand and pulling me on stage.
The crowd went crazy while the game was being set up. We decided our teams and got ready. My team ended up winning even though the other team got help from Jack and Alex, they both sucked. The other team just laughed it off and helped take the tables down. We waved at the crowd and ran off stage.
During Pierce the Veil’s set, we ran out and played ‘Cornhole’ on stage. I didn’t actually play, I stood in the back and joked with some of the other bands and drank.
“Shhhh” Vic hushed the crowd during a break in songs. “So I’d like to thank everyone single one of you for coming out and supporting us and the rest of the bands. Guys, you guys were awesome, it was an honor to travel with you guys.” He paused letting the crowd be loud and then get quiet. “And if you guys haven't noticed, we have some guests. One Direction decided to come out and support us. We’ve been pretty good friends for a while and I’m glad they got to come out and see us. Plus they brought their friends and they're all pretty cool. So, thanks to everyone.” The crowd roared again as everyone exited the stage besides P.T.V.
