“Albert, what exactly is the lawyer coming for?” I keep standing, rather than agreeing to my butler’s request. “Your dad lift you a will. The lawyer wasn’t able to open it since you were in a full coma for the past week, Miss. But now that you have finally recovered, I called the lawyer to inform him not to waste any more time.” I process what Albert states, as Harry’s arm softens around my waist. “I better go change, then.” I attempt to walk up stairs, but Harry’s arm is still clinging on my waist; disapproving my movement. “You look fine right now.” I shake my head, and reply. “I need to be in proper black, Harry. Colors aren’t a good choice while mourning.” He lets go of my waist, as I climb up the stairs.



Once I finish dressing up in my lace dress and heels, I debate whether I should apply makeup or not. I look at myself and I feel a little scared to be honest. My eyes are tired, my hair is flat, and my skin isn’t glowing as usual. Living in the world of money and social standards, my mentality was built on beautifying myself and to always be in presentable grace. It’s too late to change the way I think, but I guess I must apply some effort in my current presentation. I turn the curling iron on, and fix my hair, as I pad concealer and eye makeup on my face. No one is in sight, including Albert; so I click my heels to the living room. Once I enter, I sit on one of the white velvet sofas, and I give myself the choice to look around this room. Even though it is filled with priceless paintings and figurines, it feels cheaper than the scattered oxygen to me. Nothing could replace my father’s presence in this room, or in the office, or at the dining table next to me. I quickly sniff my tear back, just before it ruins my face.



“Hey (He sits beside me, as our shoulders touch) Black looks lovely on you.” I nod in silence, while my eyes gaze at Harry’s wardrobe. I am amazed by how he changed his beachwear, to a pair of black skinny jeans, black boots, and a buttoned up black shirt. The sleeves of the shirt are rolled up till the middle of his arm, making his unique tattoos show. “So do you.” He smiles at me, and I try to grin; but the sadness is taking over again.



“(He clears his throat in the attempt to gain seriousness) Whatever we said to each other back then, I just want you to put it all behind. You know I never meant anything from what I said, right? I was just pissed off and you kept pushing my anger till it exploded. I know why you pushed it back then, and I don’t blame you for anything. You needed to let out your sadness… I love you alright?” I nod slowly, as this new character of Harry revives glimpses of happiness in me. “I love you too.” I reply calmly, yet meaningfully at the same time. He leans into me and clicks a peck on my lips; even though its short, but his warmth is clear. “Miss, The lawyer has arrived. Shall I send him in?” I didn’t expect to see Albert popping into the room, but I manage to nod at him.



“I’m here for you alright? Hold on this for comfort.” His long yet soft fingers, slide into my inner palm, as they intertwine with my own. Harry lifts my hand in his and kisses it quickly, the places them back on his lap.“Good day, Miss Cramer. (He looks at Harry, then back at me.) I would prefer talking to you alone. (He looks back at Harry, clearly disliking his appearance) You can leave.” The lawyer swats his hand in the air, shooing Harry in a rude remark.
