Overworked

Maddie’s P.O.V
-Skip to Saturday-
I got into the car followed by Brooke, Adam and Lis and we drove to Wembley. It took us a while because of the traffic but we got there before the concert. I got to the backstage door with the kids trailing behind me and the security guard let me in. We went in and Louis came over and hugged me and then pushed me away and looked properly.
“Are you tryna kill him?” He asked.
“What do you mean?” I questioned.
“Red? Really? You look incredibly hot. You’re gonna kill him.” He laughed.
“Oh right,” I smiled. “Is El here yet?” I asked.
“If El was here do you think I’d be telling you that you look hot?”
I laughed. “Well I think she’s on her way because her car wasn’t in the driveway and I did speed just a tiny bit.” I told him.
“Harry is in hair and makeup so you might not want to go in there or Lou will kill you and Stacey is a right bitch so yeahh…” Louis replied. I laughed again and thanked him and sat down with the kids. Lis sat on my lap and was talking to Brooke when Harry walked out. She didn’t notice him until I whispered in her ear and she ran off towards him.
“Daddy!!” She shouted and he laughed and picked her up. Brooklyn and Adam went over too and I picked at my nail varnish. I heard Harry telling the kids to go and see Niall and looked up at him. He opened his arms and I stood up and ran to him.
“Well I wasn’t expecting that.” He chuckled into my hair.
“I’ve missed you so much.” I told him.
“I’ve missed you too babe.” He said. I pulled away and leant up to kiss him. He picked me up and kissed me more. I heard the other girls come in but I didn’t care and didn’t pull away.
“Someone’s missed him.” I heard Perrie say and stuck my middle finger up at her.
“Woah, no need to be rude, especially while you have your tongue down his throat,” She laughed. Harry pulled away and we both gasped for air.
“How long were they at it?” El asked laughing.
“About 5 minutes.” Louis told her.
“It was no way 5 minutes.” I argued.
“You sure? I’m surprised you didn’t swallow each other.” Liam said.
“Ha-ha. It was actually 3 minutes but we can make it 5 if you want?” I looked at them, raising my eyebrows.
“God no, please, I’ve seen enough.” Perrie said.
“I love it when you’re sassy.” Harry whispered still holding me. I kissed him once more and then jumped down. We all sat together with me on Harry’s lap until they were told to go on.
“Good luck.” I kissed him.
“Sorry to interrupt your make out session, again, but Harry, we need to go on.” Louis said. Harry pulled away and smacked my ass before walking off.
“You should not have worn red.” Dani laughed.
“Or leather trousers.” Belle added.
“Oh shut up, I don’t care.” I laughed and we watched as the boys jumped around. I held Lis in my arms whilst we watched but then some girl came over.
“Hey, can I talk to you?” She asked. She had a staff badge so I put Lis down and followed after her.
“What do you want?” I questioned, pissed off that she made me stop watching Harry.
“I have something that you might want to know.”
“Which is?”
“Harry is cheating on you.” She said with a straight face. I felt like I’d had a knife plunged through my heart.
“What? Don’t talk shit to me.” I replied.
“I’m not; he’s been with some blonde chick for the last week. He thought that no one was around but I saw him. He was making out with her and everything.”
“I don’t fucking believe you.” I told her, not wanting to believe it.
“I have proof.” She said and pulled out her phone. She showed me a picture of Harry with some girl and then making out with her. I recognise her from somewhere. It’s that girl, Emily or what’s her name, the one that he was with 10 years ago. I felt like I was going to faint and stormed out of the room. I went over to El.
“Look after the kids for me alright?” I said and walked towards the door.
“Maddie! Where are you going?” She ran after me. I felt the tears fall down. I can’t believe he would do this. I walked out of the stadium and slid down the wall. “What’s the matter? What happened?” El sat down next to me and pulled me into a hug.
“He-he cheated again.” I sobbed.
“He did what?” She shouted.
“That girl showed me proof and everything. I feel sick.” I told her.
“Hang on. I’ll be right back, don’t do anything stupid.” She said and ran inside. The boys stopped singing and a few minutes later Louis ran out with El next to him.
“Who told you?” He asked hugging me.
“She had brown hair, really skinny; she was wearing a black top and blue jeans.” I told him.
“That’s Stacey, babe, don’t believe anything that bitch says. She has a thing for Harry.” He said.
“She showed me pictures.” I cried into his shoulder.
“Who was it? With Harry.”
“That girl, Emily or whatever. The one that he cheated with before.” I said.
“Harry hates her, there is no way he would do that.” Louis assured me and the door opened again.
“Babe?” I heard Harry say and he crouched down next to me.
“Don’t touch me.” I moved away from him.
“What’s the matter?” He looked hurt, but trust me, he’s nowhere near as hurt as me.
“You fucking cheat!” I shouted.
“I have not cheated on you. I love you Maddie.” He said.
“Don’t lie. I’ve seen the pictures, I hate you!” I stood up.
“Stacey showed her pictures of you and Emma.” Louis told him and I backed away from them.
“Don’t even think about it.” El ran over to me and grabbed my arm.
“I have not been with Emma. I haven’t fucking spoken to her for 10 years! She’s been trying to get in touch with me for ages but I’ve ignored her. Maddie, you are everything to me, why would I want to risk losing you?” He said.
“Explain the pictures then.” I spat trying to get out of Eleanor’s grip.
“Photo shopped, what was I wearing?” I told him and he nodded.
“He was with us for that whole day, I’m not even lying, he didn’t go anywhere without one of us being there. C’mon Maddie. Stacey is a bitch and wants Harry for herself. Don’t fall for it.” Louis said and I weighed up the options in my mind. I nodded.
“I’m sorry.” I said and Eleanor let go of me.
Harry’s P.O.V
I looked over at the side of the stage and Maddie wasn’t there anymore.
“Where is she?” I mouthed to El.
“I don’t know, she went with some girl.” She mouthed back and I shook it off and went back to performing. After a few minutes, I heard El shouting for Louis. He stopped singing and ran over to her and I did too.
“What’s the matter?” Louis asked her.
“Maddie ran off. She’s crying her eyes out. She said something about Harry cheating or something like that. Come with me.” El pulled him outside. The others came over.
“What’s going on?” Niall turned his mic off.
“Maddie is crying, someone told her that I cheated.” I said still trying to believe it myself. I handed my microphone to him and started towards the door.
“No, don’t.” Belle dragged me back.
“Why shouldn’t I? My wife is crying over something that isn’t true.” I shouted.
“Haz, don’t shout at her.” Niall stepped in.
“Maddie looked really upset, some girl came over and asked to speak to her and then when Maddie came back she had tears in her eyes and said something to El and stormed out. Don’t have a go at her and make it worse, I just thought you should know what happened. I’ll stay here, go.” Belle pushed me towards the door. I went outside.
“Babe?” I looked down at Maddie in a crying mess on the floor. I crouched down next to her.
“Don’t touch me.” She said and moved away.
“What’s the matter?” I asked her.
“You fucking cheat!” She shouted at me.
“I have not cheated on you. I love you Maddie.” I said. I can’t believe someone told her this.
“Don’t lie. I’ve seen the pictures, I hate you!” She stood up.
“Stacey showed her pictures of you and Emma.” Louis told me. Fucking Stacey. I haven’t been with Emma; I haven’t even spoken to her since I cheated before.
Stacey’s P.O.V
I watched as the bitch stormed out of the stadium. I unlocked my phone.
To: Emma
All sorted, she really fell for it. She just stormed out of the stadium.
Louis’ wife ran off after the blonde and came back a few minutes later interrupting the concert. Louis ran outside with his wife and then Harry went to go but was stopped by the redhead. He went out and I started to worry but then I remembered that she’d seen the pictures. I stood for a minute watching Zayn, Liam and Niall pace up and down and then Harry and Louis came back in followed by their wives. Louis saw me and I backed away slowly but he told Harry and they both stormed towards me. I ran out of the door at the back and stayed up against the wall. They came out soon after.
“Don’t you dare make up fucking rumours like that again. I would never cheat on Maddie.” Harry said walking over to me.
“Really? Because you have before.” I said.
“10 years ago, 10 fucking years ago. Maddie is everything to me and I wouldn’t do it again. You’re lucky that you still have a job.”
“And that you’re a girl or I’d be punching you right now. You do not tell my sister that Harry cheated on her.” Louis spat. His sister? Since when?
“Your sister?”
“She isn’t, but she may as well be. I love Maddie and if you do anything like that again to any of them you will regret it.” He threatened and my phone buzzed. Not the right time Emma. Harry snatched it from my hand and opened the text. He showed it to me.
From: Emma
Excellent. Just keep it that way now. I want him; she’s just a bitch who doesn’t deserve him.
“So you’ve been working for the devil herself have you?” Harry said and went inside.
“Why? I mean, I knew you were a bitch but that’s low.” Louis asked.
“Emma is my best friend; I was just trying to help her. I didn’t know how much Harry loved Maddie.”
“We all love Maddie; she’s been through enough in her life and doesn’t need to be told that her husband cheated on her.”
“I’m sorry. If I would have known, I wouldn’t have done it. I was just trying to help Emma.” I said, truthfully. Honestly, I thought that Maddie would admit to cheating on Harry. I didn’t realise how much she loves him. I hate that I nearly broke them up.
Harry’s P.O.V
I took Stacey’s phone and went over to Maddie. I shoved the phone in her hand.
“Proof. She’s been working for Emma. I believe you owe me an apology.” I told her. Maddie read the text and looked up at me. Her eyes were filled with tears, she should have known I wouldn’t do that to her. I love her more than anything in this world and I would have to be completely stupid to throw that away. I have a girl that thousands of men want and she chose me. She could have anyone but she chose me. Maddie looked so upset that I just wanted to hug her but I knew I couldn’t. If I did, she’d think everything was forgiven but it isn’t. She thought I cheated on her. She honestly didn’t think twice. I don’t care if Stacey showed her pictures; she should have known they were photoshopped. Emma was the worst decision of my life and Maddie the best, why would I throw away the best for the worst. It just doesn’t make sense.
“I’m so sorry. It’s just-”
“I’ve done it before so you wouldn’t think twice about me doing it again. I get it. But I really thought you would have known that I’ve changed.”
“I’m sorry. I really am. I love you Harry.” She said and Louis and Stacey came back inside.
“I’m really sorry. I shouldn’t have tried to split you two up. I didn’t realise how much you love each other.” Stacey apologised.
“We have 3 kids, was that not a clue? You nearly ruined 3 innocent children’s lives.” Maddie said.
“I didn’t think. I just wanted to help Emma. She really likes Harry.” She explained. I took Stacey’s phone from Maddie and gave it back to her.
“Just forget it alright, go home.” I said. She nodded and went to get her stuff. “We have a concert to do but don’t storm out on me this time alright,” I said to Maddie.
“Yeah, sorry,” She apologised again and the lads and I went back out onto the stage.

Notes

Wow, dramatic chapter, but now we know who Stacey really is. Will she keep her promise and stay away from Maddie and Harry or will she carry on trying to break them up for Emma. Oh, and sorry, but she's back to cause trouble again...
