Chapter 100
Wednesday 4th December, 2028 (A/N: My birthday!)
Maddie’s P.O.V
My album is out as of today! Some people have already got it because they pre-ordered it and I love the positive response I’m getting. Everyone loves it and I’m glad because little do they know, this is the last one. My album launch party is tonight and I’m going with Harry and the kids. I read through some tweets from my fans before shutting Twitter and going down to the kids. It’s around 4pm now so they’re all back from school and considering the symptoms from the abortion have gone away, I’m back in Mummy mode, or Mommy just for my baby American Freya. I have missed my kids. I really have. I got downstairs and they all ran to me. Harry made up some excuse as to why I was staying upstairs but we’re going to tell Brooklyn and Adam because lots of people know and it’s not long before people let slip. Also, they’re the ones who picked up on the obvious tension between me and Harry before I told him. They’re smart kids and I’m proud to say I helped raise them.
“Hey,” I wrapped my arms around all 5 of my children. I love them with all of my heart. I looked up and saw Harry smiling at me. I smiled back at him and let go of the kids. “I’m really sorry I haven’t been there for you lately but I promise, I’m back and I’m going to be the best mum I can be from now on.” I said to them and they smiled.
“You already are the best mum.” Brooklyn replied.
“Thanks honey but I haven’t been lately. But all that is going to change and I am going to get so much better. We’re going to have some fun tonight.” I assured them and Harry called them over to him.
“Go out in the garden for a bit and play. Your mum and I will be out in a minute.” He instructed and they went outside.
“What was that for?” I asked as he walked over.
“I wanted to do this,” he kissed me. “I love you Madeline Aimee Styles and if you ever need me, I will be here.” He said, hugging me.
“I love you too Harry.” I kissed him again. We spent all afternoon playing outside with the kids and then Emily came over to get me ready for the party. Harry was wandering around in his boxers when we walked into the room. “Put some clothes on, Emily’s here.” I laughed and she told me to sit down in front of the mirror. She started to do my hair and when it was done it looked really good. She’d done a fishtail halo braid and I really liked it.
“You look gorgeous,” Harry came and kissed my cheek, still in his boxers.
“Thanks but I thought I told you to put clothes on?” I turned to him.
“You did, I didn’t listen. I don’t want to put my suit on right now. I’ll get hot, this house is boiling.” He complained.
“Part of living in LA baby,” I laughed at him as he sat down on the bed and watched Emily do my make-up. Once that was done, I got into my dress and told Harry to check the kids were getting ready while Emily did my nails. She had to take the white acrylics off and replace them with blue ones and we were done. I waited to make sure they were stuck and went downstairs with Emily. She still has to go and get ready herself. “I’ll see you later. Thank you for this.” I kissed her cheek.
“No problem,” she replied and left to go back to her house and get ready. Harry was in Lis’ room and I went to get the twins ready. They were wearing matching dresses purely because I wanted to confuse everyone. No it was because they look cute, but they’ll confuse everyone too. I brushed their hair once they were in their dresses and they were ready. I checked on Adam and he was ready as was Brooklyn. It’s just Harry left.
“Harry, get your suit on. We need to be there in half an hour and you’re not even dressed.” I reminded him and he ran up to our room. He came back 10 minutes later dressed and I adjusted his tie and we were ready to go. I put my shoes on and watched as the kids did the same and then Harry picked up his keys. We got into the car and drove to the hotel where the launch party is being held. I’m super excited for this. We parked in the parking lot and went into the hotel. We’re the first ones here but that’s how it’s meant to be. My album cover was up on two boards and I smiled because I really love that picture. The twins ran around while Brooke and Adam were on their phones and Lis sat looking bored. I checked everything was okay and then they started letting people in. Simon was one of the first people to arrive and congratulated me on it. “Thank you, I’m just glad it’s out.” I hugged him. The room quickly filled up and I was greeting everyone as I wandered around until I spotted a group of people. I walked over to them quickly and joined them. “You guys came!” I smiled, hugging Eleanor.
“Of course we did Mads, we wouldn’t miss it.” Liam said as I hugged him. I greeted them all and we caught up until I had to go and do a performance. The performance went down really well and then I made a speech.
“Thank you all for coming to help me celebrate the launch of my album, this is really special to me and I’m so happy that I get to share tonight with everyone I love. I want to say thank you to everyone at the studio who helped me write and record this album. Thank you to my family who have been so supportive of me working long hours trying to get this album finished and now it’s done, so let’s party!” I thanked a few more people and then got off of the stage and was given a glass of champagne. I made my way over to Harry and he kissed me.
“I’m so proud of you baby, that song was amazing.” He put his arm around my waist. I noticed the kids lingering and not really knowing what to do so I told them that the guys and girls were here and they immediately ran over to them. This has been such a good night. My family is back to normal and everyone I love and care about is here. I have the most amazing husband by my side and at this moment, I don’t think my life can get any better. No. I know my life can’t get any better.
