Chapter 99
Thursday 29th November, 2028
Harry’s P.O.V
Things have been getting better since Maddie told me; we’re getting back to normal. I can’t believe I was about to leave her when she had been raped. I was going to leave my wife to deal with being pregnant from some son of a bitch who raped her on her own. I can’t believe I nearly did that. My baby girl was hurt and had someone force himself on her and I nearly left her because of it. I’m glad that I didn’t leave immediately that day because her telling me is the reason we’re doing what we’re doing right now. We’re lying in bed, in each other’s arms and I know everything is going to be okay as long as we have each other. Maddie hasn’t really left the bed for the last few days other than to be sick but that will be gone soon because her abortion appointment is tomorrow. She hasn’t gotten up to see the kids and I told them that she was really ill and couldn’t go near them or she’ll give them what she’s got. They decided to catch me out with that though so I made up some other excuse. They’re all at school and the twins are at Gabrielle’s now so it’s just me and my baby girl. I moved my head down and kissed her. I’ve missed kissing her in the past three weeks. We just haven’t been the same. Now though, we’re getting back to normal and as soon as she’s feeling better, so will our family. She must have had such a hard time dealing with that on her own and I’m so proud of her for doing it. Another positive thing for Maddie, her album is finished. She finished it on Sunday after the AMAs and now it’s completely done and ready for release on Wednesday next week. She’s happy about that because at the end of this nightmare, there’s daylight in the shape of her new album. Her goodbye album. In January, she sets off on her goodbye tour around the world and I’m so proud of her for doing it. She knows she’s going to miss birthdays and be on tour on her birthday but she knows she has to say goodbye to her fans, good and proper with a massive tour and amazing shows. She’s gonna go all out on this tour, and I doubt she’ll be able to talk by the end of it but she’s going on the road with her mates, her crew and she’s gonna have fun. She’s going to perform to her fans and give them a proper goodbye before leaving the singing world and joining me in post singing world. It’s a sad place at first, but then you remember what you did it for and everything is better. She’ll be okay. She’s got her family around her and that’s all she needs. She leaves on the 16th of January, the day after the twins’ birthday because she didn’t want to miss that considering she did last year. They’re going to be 2. I can’t believe that nearly 2 years ago we had the twins, its surreal really. It makes you wonder where the time has gone and then you remember the phrase ‘time flies when you’ve having fun’ and although I haven’t been with Maddie for a year of them two years, it has been fun. They have been a very special 2 years full of family time and moving and the band breaking up but in the end, it’s all for the best outcome. Family. Our wonderful family. I wouldn’t change a thing because I get to spend my days with my kids and wife and that is all that matters to me. I love them, they’re my life and I would not have it any other way.
Maddie’s P.O.V
As I lay in Harry’s arms, I could tell he was in deep thought. He’s got that concentration face on and I love just taking it in. I haven’t seen the kids for a few days but after the abortion is over with and the sickness from that has gone away, everything will be back to normal. I want to get this out of the way and then I can carry on with my life and of course I’ll still have the mental reminders of that day but there will be no physical evidence left.
