The Exchange.

~~~Hayden's POV~~~

i watched as Eric turned the gun at harry....no.... Everything was in solo motion. I watched as harry sucked in a breath moving so I was blocked...was he really gonna tak a bullet for someone he doesn't no?

Of course idiot! He cares for u!!! He likes u!!!

I sucked in a sharp breath and lunged forward as the click of the gun ripped through the now silent air. My heart sped up but I didn't feal anything. The. Next thing I no I'm on someone's chest. I hear laughing then the sound of running....there gone...

it's shallow and blurry but I hear the sound of Harry's voice screaming.

"Hayden! Noooo! Stay with me. Stay with me baby!" My heart flutters at the name, no matter how much pain I'm in.

i open my eyes to see harry worried as he'll with blood all over his hands. He's shaking and franticly scanning the area..

" Stay with me Hayden...c'mon...please...i.....I need you.." He had tears all over and was hiccuping already. His hands squeezed mine as he kept talking.

"yes....ism sorry it took so long....I was just scared...but tonight...u showed me....u really do care...." I can't believe it took me getting shot to say yes....but...after tonight, I think he helped me realie as scared as I am...I'm falling for him to...

"Hayden.....stay with me...please.." He kissed my forehead. I felt my body slowly numb and the pain leave. There was a faint sound of screeching tires and flashing lights. Black dots decorated my vision. And then...it was black...I was alone.

~~~Harry's POV~~~


i sat nervously in the waiting room bouncing my knee playing back the night. Eric shot her....he acted like he'd known her longer than she says....and he basically said everyone hated her.....I noticed how as soon as he yelled that she froze...was it true? I shook it off as the lads and el ran in.

"what happened!" El said in tears clinging to louis.

"we were leaving and Eric showed up with a gun....Hayden....she...she j-jumped in the way when he went to s-shoot me...she saved Me..." My jaw clenched at the mention...I should have been shot...not her....she needs me to protect her....

el shook her head jumping as a doctor entered.

"u may come see her..but be quiet she sore." We all nodded following him through the hall into a white room. Hayden lay pale in the bed, tears trickled her face as she stared at me in the door way. I couldn't hide it...I ran in like a kid pulling her into a hug letting my tears fall. I wanted her to see I cared. She hugged back and hissed a bit when I bumped her side but didn't move.

"why..." Was all I could say.

"because....I like you harry...and that wAs my fight...if u got hurt because of me....I don't no what I'd do...." I wiped the few new tears on her face with my thumb and pressed my lips to hers. She kissed back immediatly wrapping her arms around me. The kiss lasted a bit till we were interupted.

the lads and el stand staring at us with puffy faces.

"did we miss somthing?" I heard el giggle a bit. She immediatly hugged Hayden.

"how ya fealing." Hayden shrugged and locked her fingers with mine surprising me, but I didn't care...

"better now..." She said looking at me.

after everyone said there hi and had gotten situated in the room we waited for the doctor to release her. They said she'd be fine and she had minor stitches that would disappear as she healed.

the doctor came in and released her. She quickly showered and dressed in some sweats an one of my sweat shirts. Wow...she looked hot...

when we got to the house the others left except me and Hayden. Lou and el wanted to give us alone time so we went to her room.

I layed hayden in her bed and sat next to her.

"thank you harry..." She played with a string on the blanket not once looking at me.

"for what? I should be thanking u." She shook her head.

"thank you for giving me an amazing night..." She gave me a smile and I couldn't help but hug her.

"anything for u love.."

we sat there for a moment in a comfortable silence. I looked around her room that was decorated with new art. I noticed one piece that was upside down. She saw me looking and her eyes widened.i walked to the picture flipping it smiling at the sight.

"so ur drawing me now huh?"

She he shook her head. "No.." I saw a small smile pull at her lips as she looked at the art.

"I just needed a big head to draw." She giggled at her playful comment making me raise and eye brow.

"o so I have a big head?" She smiled a bit.

"just a bit." I shook my head laughing.

"ur lucky ur to pretty for a throw back" I said flopping next to her. she smiled then Turned her expression to serious.

"harry...you no i was serious when I said yes right?" My heart fluttered..I thought she was talking out of fear last night from being shot... I looked at her wyed eyes. I decided I'd make sure I wasn't dreaming.

"Hayden....w-will you be my girlfriend..."
