Chapter 10

~~~ Hayden's POV~~~

I pace in my room! my anxiety getting the best of me. My dad is texting me all sorts of shit an I'm freaking out. Not to mention my date is in 3 hours and I'm still not ready. AND I don't even want to go because I'm scared.... Ugh my life is SOOO fucked up.

i stand to go get ready reluctantly, and get my stuff. My phone beeps yet again.

dad -

you can run you can hide but I'll find you.

dad-

I bet you've slept with so many guys since you left.

dad -
your going to pay for running bitch! My friends and I can't wait to show you our punishment!

my eyes welled with tears. I blinked them away and quickly rumaged through my closet for a long sleeve casual outfit.

after a while of searching I settled on this.

It was snowing so I stuck to a wintery outfit.

i trudged out of my room and to el who was sitting in the kitchen.

"hey Hayden!" She cheered placing a cookie in her mouth. She was so pretty...she could eat anything and be model sized and perfect! Me on the other hand...

"hey..I need some advice.." I was reluctant but the last time we talked it really helped.

"sure. What's up?" I decided to leave my dad out and go straight to harry.

"Harry's taking me on a date....and after Eric....I'm scared..." She nearly choked on her cookie when I used Harry's name and date. But the. Her look softened at the last part.

"harry would never do somthing like that...I can tell he likes you, yeah he's an ass but...he's never been so persistent on a girl...let alone ask so much about her when she's gone.." El says sipping some milk. He talks about me?

"ohk..." El could sence my still nervouse behavior and took quick action. She walked into my room and came out with some of my sketches. She sat them infront of me keeping them rolled up.

"do u like him?" Her words were straight forward.i looked to the ground. Do I?

"I....I don't no....el ur the only one who knows the darkest part about me....and that's why I'm so scared...my trust is so....bad... I no he's a good guy.... But...I'm broken and worthless...he's famous and worth millions, he could do so much better...he doesn't need to get tangled in my life..." A few tears escaped and el hugged me.

"you are worth so much Hayden! Ur gorgeous, smart, and talented! I'm so glad u opened up to me even if we only new eachother for a few weeks.ya ur broken....which is why letting him in might help...like I said harry really likes you..he would never hurt u..give him a chance I meen look...u obviously like him some what ur just scared." She opened my drawing of harry ushering to it.

she was right..I do feel somthing for him, i meen god I can't stop thinking about him...I nodded not trusting my voice,..

"just go..see what happens...I'm sure ULL fined out how u really feal if u spend time with him.." She was right I should just try... I meen what could happen.

"now c'mon! Let's get ur makeup fixed. You have like 20 minutes!" I smiled and followed her to my room...I hope she's right.

i faint knock came from the hall and el went to answer it. I stood in my room staring at my reflection....here goes nothing.

~~~Harry's POV~~~

I sat in my car......she's scared ill hurt her? She told ell about her 'dark past?' yea I kinda snooped...but seriously...why doesn't she trust me? What is so bad that HAPPEND to her that makes her fear every one...she talks to the lads and el... But u even trail near her family she freezes... O well hopefully I can get her to open up...she has no clue what she's doing to me...

I finally get out of the car and knock. There's shuffling and el opens the door. She flashes an innocent yet frightening smile then she rams me into the wall taking me by surprise.

"listen here pretty boy! U better leave now if ur thinking of using Hayden for sex! She's to sweat and has suffered enough. Understand." I nodded....wow I've never seen this side of her..

"ok...ok....el...u and Lou of all people should no...I really like her...I'm serious about this..." She released a sigh and backed away.

"I no..I was just making sure. With that she led me in. I was a bit confused until Hayden strudded down the stairs. She looked up at me through her eye lashes.

"h-hi...." I said staring at her. She gave a small smile shifting uncomfortably under my gaze. I quickly looked to el and held my hand out for her. "Shall we." I gave her a smile.

She took my hand and followed me out. Tonight Was the night I would make her fall for me...the night I'd learn why she hurt so much....the night I'd start to fix the beautiful peace of art that lay broken infront of me...I'd make her feel like she was a new, and loved person...

We arrived at the restraunt a bit early which was perfect. I locked our fingers and looked her in the eyes. I could tell she was nervouse, and unsure. I gave her a small smile holding back the urge to kiss her till she felt better.

"I just want u to no...this is real...I really like you..and u don't have to be afraid...Hayden...I want to be there for you...u just need to trust me..and tonight..I'm gonna prove that...."

Every word I said was not only true but straight from my heart..I care for her and want to change for her.
There was a silence..it wasn't awkward...it was almost comfortable.

I quickly stepped out of the car joggin to her sighed opening her door. She stepped out staring at the building in confusion. I smiled. I picked it because I wanted to make somthing...and I wanted to surprise her.

~~~Hayden's POV~~~

I looked at the dull building. It was old and tattered...honestly it was a bit frightening...
Harry led me in the door, creaking as we entered. As soon as the door shut we were met with dark. If let my heart speed a million times faster but harry grabbed my hand.

"C'mon...it's ok."

He led me down the halls and through another door. We were met with light and casual music. I gasped at the sight.

The room was large and brightly lit. There was a. Small stage and a table decorated in white and flowers infront of it. Red curtains and ivy decorated the walls giving it a beautiful elagency. My eye studied it in awe.

"Harry...this is...wow" I said looking around.

"I'm glad...I would have been sad if didn't like it..." He said with a smirk.

I gave him a half smile and went to the table, running my fingers over the soft silk cloth. Harry pulled my chair out and ushers me to sit. I did so and had to hold back the bile in my throat as he placed the food infront of me...don't get me wrong it looked delicious, but...Im...I guess you could say anorexic....no food looks good..

Harry saw my face and quickly said

"Do u not like tacos? I could...." I shook my head interrupting him.
"It looks delicious! I'm just amazed that someone would do this for...me..."I didn't wanna sound so mental so I just said me.

"Why wouldn't they. Ur amazing! Hell I almost rented a yaght! But I didn't wanna seem prissy...I wanted to show u I was normal...like u." I smiled.

"Thnx."

He took a seat across from me and placed a taco on my plate then his. He raised a hand ushering someone on the stage.

A tall middle adged man walked out with a violin. He instantly started playing an old song I couldn't quite name.

I decided to end the awkward sad silence I created.

"So u like casual?" I wiggled my eyebrows a bit putting on a smile. He chuckled

"Is that an issue?"

I shook my head. No.

For the rest of the night we talked laughed joked danced and just had a blast. I understood now what el MENT. I really do like harry....he is kind, and caring and he's trying harder than anyone to show me that.

Me and harry were getting our stuff to leave when he stopped.

"How bout we play a game...before we go." I was in a good mood so I nodded.

"Truth...I tell u somthing about me...and u somthing about you..whatever is said...stays between just us." And there it was... The one thing that brought my anxiety back...atleast I'm good at avoiding questions... I slowly nodded and me and him sat back at the table.

" ok... You first." I said fidgeting nervously with my fingers.

"Ok...umm...I've never liked a girl as much as I do you." My cheeks flushed and my heart skipped a beat. I shook it off quickly and looked to him for his question nervouse of what it was.

"Why don't u like talking about ur family...." I could tell he was hesitant.
I instantly felt my sadness return and blinked away tears. He instantly scooted over pulling me in his lap.

"Don't answer I'm sorry...so sorry.." I shook my head.

"U deserve to no...don't be sorry.....I really like you to harry...it's just..I'm scared...." He turned me so we
were facing eachother.

"Scared of what?"

"Getting hurt....myself...." His look softened.

"Hayden...I'd never hurt you...why are u scared of urself? Let me help you..."

He kissed my head rubbing soothing circles. This is the seconded break down I've had...I'm so embarresed yet I feal so safe...

After a minute I stopped crying and we were standing to leave.

"C'mon...I'll take you home..." He said as I got in the car.

Suddenly a deep voice pierced the air...just when I had a good night...this happens..

"Hey who're! Got a new man I see? Did you tell him ur deep secret?" My eyes shot to the men...he held a gun at us. I stepped out quickly as harry moved to block me.

"Oh don't guard her...she's worthless. Why don't u ask her why she's so sensitive.." My eyes watered...why won't they go away.....

Harry looked at me. Then to them he was confused and angry at the same time.

"leave." He said standing tall. I took. A breath..I can't let hm suffer. I stood infront of harry.

" No....tell him Hayden....tell him how you killed someone....tell him how u are so hated by everyone....tell him how you hurt urself....TELL HIM HOW WORTHELESS U ARE!!!!!!!!" He yelled. I winced as tears burned my face. Harry grabbed my wrist but I pulled away whispering a shaky "I'm sorry...."

the man kept yelling the same thing at me till I couldn't take it.

" OK I DID IT!!!!!!! AND YES UR RIGHT NOW LEAVE ME ALOOOONE!" I fel to my knees in tears. Harry was quick by my side. He was so confused. Why doesn't he run?

" Oh sweety....the fun just started...."
