Ariella's POV

"I knew it." Louis said. The man quickly looked behind Louis' shoulder to catch my gaze. His eyes widened as he took in my appearance. He was a couple inches taller than Louis. He had on a grey sweater with black slacks and dress shoes. He had slightly grey hair but was brown just like mine. He also had sprinkled hair across his chin. He was slightly tanned and toned. He seemed to be in his late 40's.

"Louis, how did you..?" I said. He just shrugged.

"Baby girl..?" He said to me. My mind begins to pound, as I collapse, Louis catching me.

*Flashback*

"NO!! I DON'T WANNA GO!! I WANNA STAY WITH YOU!!" I protested as I clung onto my mother's neck even tighter, not letting go.

"I know sweetheart, this is hard for us too. But you have to. We told you that it's too dangerous for you to come. We will visit you at times alright? But in the meantime, you have to stay here with Mrs. Edwards. We changed your last name to it already. She's going to be your mommy for now. Treat her just as you would to me alright?" She rubbed my back gently while placing her head on top of mine. Daddy was talking to that 'Mrs. Edwards' lady. She actually did look like mommy, but too classy with the way she look. Daddy then came over to mommy and I.

"Honey, it's time." He said to her.

"Time for what?!" I exclaimed. Mommy and daddy looked at each other. Mommy then brought me over to a counter for me to sit on. I reached out to be picked up again but they stayed back. Daddy placed his big hand onto mommy's shoulder.

"We have to go now." Daddy said to me. Mommy was crying by now which made me cry as well.

"Yoou caaannnttttt!!!!" I whined. Mommy quickly came to me and hugged me tight. She then passed me to daddy and we hugged as well.

"We will be back soon. Don't cry, baby girl, we promise to be back for you. Then we can go to that fair you always wanted to go to alright?" He said quietly while wiping one of my tears away. I nodded.

"We love you Ariella. Always." Mommy said as they both kissed my head. Daddy handed me over to the lady who is now my mommy and they left without looking back.



*End Of Flashback*

"Ari, come on, say something." Louis whispered, as I opened my eyes, first seeing his blue orbs.

"Daddy?" I questioned the man.

He opened his arms as I pushed Louis aside and ran over to him, picking me up and spinning me around on the spot. I winched as the pain in my arm was still there as he continued to spin me. Louis immediately came over.

"Stop! Your hurting her!" He raised his voice at my father. He didn't put me down, but began to carry me out of the alley way, leaving Louis behind.

"Dad, what are you doing?! Put me down!" He eventually placed me down and began to scold me once we were out of earshot from Louis, who I know is now tailing us and listening to us either way. So I know he is okay.

"What in the world are you doing in town with HIM?! Don't you realize that he works for-"

"The Black Cove, yes, I already know. By the way.. Nice to see you too father." I said after cutting him off.

"Then why are you out here in town shouldn't you be in school right now?" He scolded me, ignoring my hello.

"He helped me escape. Shouldn't you be on a mission with mom that may save mankind as we may know it?" I spat back.

"Don't talk that way with me young lady! I thought you knew better than this." He raised his voice. "Now answer me this, what happened?" He was really mad. You would think that after many years of not seeing me, he would be happy and would want to know how my life is going and my training. Nope.. Just getting straight to the point. Guess they never really cared about me whatsoever.

"Fine, you want to know what happened??! I was kidnapped by Black Cove and was beaten and drugged, my teacher was a double agent, Brittney was an undercover field agent and did everything she could to tear my life apart, Niall is back at my school somehow and I'm going to have to deal with him after he cheated on me, I'm hurt, I'm probably going to get killed one of these days because people want to take me in, and worst of all my REAL parents weren't even there for any of it, let alone CARE!!!" I yelled in his face with tears streaming down mine and began to storm away, but the pain in my leg didn't help my situation. I was then swept off my feet once more and was dragged over to a bench not too far from where we were. I looked up to see my father fuming.

"Listen here, your mother and I placed you in that school for a reason. Not because we don't care about you, which is not true, we love you with all our hearts, but we put you there for your own safety. People are out for your mother and I as well, and they want you, to take us down. They are going to use you as bait for us. They are desperate for us to surrender. We placed you in that school so no one will know of your existence. I know that you were kidnapped and drugged, and.. Beaten.. That's only because you left the school when we gave STRICT orders to Mrs. Edwards to NOT let you out of the school-"

"But I have been out of the school many times and I was safe in every mission." I argued.

"I know baby girl but you have to understand that you have to be more careful because-"

"I AM CAREFUL!"

"LISTEN TO ME!" I stayed quiet and waited for him to continue. "Black Cove wants you dead. They want any line from us dead. They know that you exist now. Your uncles, your aunts, your cousins, they are gone. You have to do everything that you can to keep us alive and the future generations alive you hear me?" He whispered. I never really knew my family at all, what's the point?

"Yes father.." I surrendered.

"Good." He patted my head while messing up my hair. "Louis, you can come out now!" He yelled out. Louis then came out from around a corner with the luggage in his hand. He gave an awkward curt nod to my father. He returned the gesture.

"Ms. Edwards.." A voice said. I turned to face it and saw Dave. You see, Dave is the Head Mistress' lover, fiancé, boyfriend, whatever you want to call him. Technically my dad's temporary replacement. And also the school's private usher.

"Hey Dave." I slightly waved to him.

"Its time to go home Ms. Edwards." I nodded in understanding. Dave gave a curt nod to my father as well. "Mr. Martinez, long time no see sir, are you going to join us?" He asked him. He shook his head.

"I have to finish what I started. So I cannot. But, make sure she gets there safely." Dave nodded. He walked over to the car and opened the door to the back seat. Louis was putting the luggage in the back of the car. I turned to face my father, knowing that it would be another long time before I see him again.

"Dad?"

"Yes baby girl?" He said softly.

"If you're here, then where's mom?" I asked. He flinched as I said mom. He hesitated before speaking.

"Your mother.. She-She's in a better place now. But she wanted me to tell you that she loves you and to be careful. She is watching from above." he said so quietly I almost didn't hear it.

But I did..

"How, dad?" I said while holding back my tears.

"Black Cove killed her a month ago." Was all he said. I nodded in understanding. I hugged him one last time before he turned and ran down the streets, out of our sight. I walked over to Louis, since he slammed the back of the car shut before putting his elbows on it and placing his head in his hands. He must have heard what my father said.

"Louis?" I quietly asked, as I am losing my voice from all of my crying.

"I'm so sorry Ari.." he said quietly. I could tell he was crying as well, after hearing what my father said, he must be upset for being part of Black Cove.

"It's not your fault Lou. Don't worry." I placed my hand on his shoulder.

"Ms. Edwards?" Dave spoke up. I nodded my head knowing what he was going to say.

"Lou?" I shook his shoulder.

"Yes...?"

"Are you coming?" He knew what I was asking. "You know that if they find you they will kill you Lou. I don't want you killed either.. Please Lou." I begged, my voice becoming weak as I continued to quietly cry. He stayed silent for a moment, debating with himself before giving his answer.

"Alright."

And with that, we both got into the car with Dave closing the door behind us. Louis put his arm around my shoulder and rubbing my back, allowing me to cry the tears that I have left into his torso while placing his chin on my head. Dave called Head Mistress to let her know our arrival time before driving back to where everything in my life started for me, and will hopefully give me the chance to start a new one.
