David's POV

I stayed with Cathy in her office for a while now. We just began to talk about the students in the building and helped her investigate on the situation with the expelled student. We decided to keep the topic of Ariella's whereabouts to be pinned for later. She became so stressed and worried about her so much I devoted myself with extra time to stay with her. She sighed and slammed her hands against her desk in disappointment.

"What's wrong, Cathy?" I asked her.

"I don't know David, something just doesn't add up.." Cathy trailed off..

"Care to elaborate?"

"Well, this whole situation with the students.. I mean.. First Ariella is stolen, her best friend was unconscious.. and now we found two double agents in the school.. What if someone else was a double agent? There has to be a reason why all these events have occurred suddenly.."

"Don't you think that it may have something to do with Ariella's parents?" She looked up at me. "I-I mean I know that you are her mother now but I meant as the bio-" but she cut me off.

"I understand what you are trying to say David.. And your right. Her parents are being hunted.. But-" she was interrupted by the phone on her desk ringing. She sighed loudly as she watched it. She seemed to be in a daze.

"Aren't you going to answer?" I asked, snapping her out of her thoughts.

"Oh-uh right of course." she cleared her throat before speaking. "Head Mistress of Oak Hills, how may I help you?" She spoke professionally. She stayed silent as the person on the other end began to speak. She froze as the person spoke. I nudged her arm and gave her a confused look.

"Hello dear, are you alright? Are you back?" she asked them. Is it Mr. Edwards? I thought he booted himself out years ago? Have they been secretly in touch? What is this?? I thought she and I were something!!

"That's good. You went through worse so this is good. Do you want me to send a car out for you?" No. No way.. I gave her a very confused/mad look. She smirked at me. "Haha alright dear, where are you?" She listened and wrote down the address. I sat in my seat growing more mad by the second..

"Alright, Dave is on his way. See you soon Ariella." She emphasized Ariella. Oh. Never mind then. She hung up and gave me the slip of paper with the address on it with a sarcastic smile.

"I knew what you were thinking. My heart already belongs to you, but I wanted to have a little bit of fun." She said calmly with a wink. My spine chilled as she spoke. She gestured to the door with her head flicking over to it. I then caught the memo and got up to leave while stumbling over one of the chair's legs but kept my cool as I quickly walked out of the door and off to get Ariella.

Catherine's POV:

I laughed quietly as I watched him attempt to leave my office while stumbling over. There are reasons that I cannot explain why I love this man. Lets just say he is much better than George, my first husband. Things didn't work out 'too' well.

I got up from my chair from behind my desk and began to walk to the back of the office where a closed door that only I may enter was hidden. I looked around to make sure the door to the office was shut before entering. I stepped into the rather large room and began to admire the framed photos of Ariella's past before being with me with her real family.

I haven't yet showed her this room but I will probably show her when she graduates. Or at least when she is ready. In the past few years, she has recently shown a tremendous amount of dedication to the spy world as she grew up here. If I show her this now, then she will lose that focus. I cannot afford for her to do that.

I was pulled out of my thoughts as the phone began to ring again. I leave the room with one more glance back at the photos before locking the door behind me and answer the phone.

"Head Mistress of Oak Hills, how may I help you?" I spoke.

"You all better be careful." I quickly began to record the conversation. "

"Who is this?" I asked.

"None to your current concern. Any who.. We decided to leave Ms. Ariella Edwards alone for now. Since we know of her existence, we will be tracking her and watching her every move. We will strike when the time is right. You are warned. Don't bother tracking this number down because it will no longer exist. Goodbye." Then they hung up. That was strange. A couple minutes later the phone rang again. This time it was David.

"Hello, Catherine. Ariella and her friend are now safely inside the vehicle. We had a delay due to the interaction with Mr. Martinez. Our arrival time is approximately-"

"Wait-wait-wait what? Mr. Martinez? He's back?" I said cutting him off.

"Yes, he showed up as soon as Ariella and her friend called you. They were in conversation until I came. He left shortly after" He elaborated. I cannot believe he is back already..

"Well, what did the man say?"

"I was not listening to the conversation. But as she entered the vehicle she began to cry off of what her father said onto her." I sighed.

"Alright. What is your approximate arrival time?" I asked him.

"Approximately now 10-15 minutes."

"Alright. I'll have everyone and everything ready. See you soon."

"Alright. See you."

"Bye." He hung up. I rubbed my hands down my face and exhale. I decided to call down Carie so she can prepare things for Ariella, and I will call Drake after I'm done talking with Carie.

"Mrs. Edwards?" A knock on my door snap me out of my thoughts. I look up to see Carie and Drake at my door with their fingers perfectly intertwined with each others. A smile was brought upon my lips at the sight.

"Ah hello you two. Carie, Drake, come sit."

"Well actually I just came to walk Carie down here. I know I'm not needed so I'll just wait outside.." He trailed off.

"Oh don't be silly Mr. Johnson, come have a sear next to your beautiful girl. I won't take long. I actually needed to talk to you too." I smiled. Drake blushed slightly and Carie giggled. They both sat down across from me.

"Now Carie I'm going to need you to make sure that everything in your dorm to be nice and tidy. Ariella is now on her way. And Drake, I'm actually glad you have arrived with Carie because I was going to ask you if you would mind sharing Niall and your dorm with the friend that Ariella is with." I told them both. Carie jumped in her seat with pure happiness at the return of her best friend.

"You mean Louis is coming to stay??" He asked me. I shrugged.

"So far that I know of is a yes."

"I'm down with it." He agreed.

"Good. Now you have less than 10 minutes now go! Dismissed!" I said while smiling. They started to yell at the lack of time they own and is ticking. I laughed. Once they left I was on my own once more for a few more minutes. The phone rang again and once more it was David.

"Mrs. Edwards," he began.

"Yes?"

"We're here." I quickly confirmed it and hung up. I scrambled off my chair onto my own two feet and ran to the front door and fixed my posture before the door opened in front of me, revealing a vehicle approaching through the school's gates, stopping at the front of the school.

I'm. So. Sorry. For not updating when I said I would.. Literally for once I'm actually glad to go to school tomorrow.. If there is school.. I was SO bored and did not do much for the weekend. I had a 5 day weekend and now only 4 days of school before February break lol. ANYWAY.. Enough of my boring life...

Ariella is now home!!
