Louis' POV:

"Son!" Walter shouts for me. I quickly stand to my feet and salute him. He puts me at ease and throws out his cigarette. I've been telling him how his smoking habits make me queasy to the stomach.

"Be a good lad and watch the girl, I'm out to go greet our soon to be guests. I will bring you your lunch when I return. Just, make sure she doesn't escape, are we clear?" He questions. I nod.

"Yes sir."

"Good. Gents, let us be on our way." He walks out with the remainder of the guards tailing him, before the heavy metal door shuts behind him, trapping us in a large room. Or so he thinks.

"Ready, Freddy?" I ask her, making my way to the chains to free her.

"My name is not Freddy." She protests. I shake my head and continue on picking the locks straining her wrists.

"Ease up, Ariella. I know that."

"You know, you don't seem like a kind of person that would be here." She states randomly, after I unlock the first one. She moves her hand to remove the hair in front of her face.

"Thank you, I guess." I joke.

"No problem, I guess. How do you pronounce your name?" She asks me.

"Louis."

"Lewis?" She asks.

"Louis. Louis." I pronounce more clearly as her ankles are freed. I guide her out of the braces, and quickly pull her behind me to the door, that should hopefully be unlocked. I pull the handle, as it refuses to move. Drat.

"Is it not open?" She asks. I shake my head. "Well, we could always go through the vents." Se points up to the vents above the door. I drop my shoulders, as I am not one to be crawling in those.

"Come on, pussy. It's not going to be gross in there." She mocks me as she raises her arms up, awaiting her boost up.

"My goodness, the language." I say surprisingly.

She rolls her eyes and motions her arms up again. I shake my head, knowing that I'm going to regret this. I walk over to her and make my way up first, immediately greeted with darkness, dust and spider webs. I tug her up after feeling her hand yank on my foot. I led the way, looking out the vents into the hallway from time to time, checking to make sure I knew where we were going. We stop in front of the vent to Walter's room, watching him talk to some of the same people that were in the previous room.

"Do we all understand our duties?" He asks them. They all nod. I turn to Ariella, a large grin on my face.

"He said duties." I close my mouth quickly as I feel my giggles coming up.

I suck in the air, preventing the laughter from spilling out, until a small hand covered my mouth, stifling my laughter just as I released it. She uses her other hand to point into the room, Walter looking around confused before walking out.

"Are you crazy? You would have given us away!" She very quietly scolds me. I shrug my shoulders, a puppy face as my apology. She stays still for a moment, studying me before shaking her head.

"Just go." She instructs me. I open the vent, dropping it carefully to the ground before climbing out. Once we landed in the room, I made my way around Walter's room. There aren't many guards out at this time, as they are on their lunch breaks. If I do this correctly, I will be able to make everything right again.

Remind me what you are looking for at the current moment?” Ariella asked me as I move books, papers, and pencils everywhere.

“Well, I basically just trashed his office.” I said, a large smile on my face as I take in the trashy room, or in other words, my masterpiece, satisfaction written all over my face.

“Because...?” She asked me, motioning her hands in a circle, as if telling me to finish what she said. I sighed.

“Because, I always wanted to do that. He treats me like a slave here and I don’t appreciate it. But I have to, or else…” I dragged my finger across my throat, making that unusual sound with it.

“Oh.” Was all that she said.

“Yeah.” I exhaled, as I continued my pursuit to trash the office a bit more.

“So, is that all we are here for… Or are we going to look for clues or ways to stop whatever he is doing…?” She sasses me. I roll my eyes without her seeing, but proceed to answer her question.

“Well, yes, we are. We just need to find his… Computer!” I quickly ran back to the desk and turned the screen on. He doesn’t really turn off the computer, because he feels like it was a waste of time. “Tell me you still have the bracelet…” I pleaded, without taking my eyes off of the computer, as I cannot locate the file of his plan anywhere.

“What bracelet?” she asks me. My heart drops, and I scoff quietly.

“The one my best mate Niall gave you.” I said, pleading in my mind that she does still have it.

“You know him?” she asks me. Why is she delaying the answer?!

“I just said he was my best mate.” I said, smirking.

“Oh.” She said. My patience grew thin. “So, how did you know he gave it to me?” I paused for a moment. Why won’t she just hand it to me already???!!!

“Well, I wasn’t in the room when it happened as I needed to go… You know… Go to the loo-“

“Yes! I get it, just continue.” She says cutting me off.

“Well I was told that he gave it to you, but something went down.” I eyed her as she looks away. “So, where is it?” I asked her, hopefully for the last time. She reaches up to her wrist, as I release the breath I was holding. There is still hope to stop this all.

“Drake has it.” She said almost so quietly, but I caught it. I looked to her, absolutely dumbfounded. Drake has it… My jaw clenches.

“Drake… As in the one Walter is AFTER?!” I said, raising my voice. I try to relax my breathing my covering my face in my hands, breathing heavily, but coming out as a sigh.


So.. Recap time! I'm in my boss' office on his computer to try and at least delay his plan. This is what I need:

• The key.

• Location:

The key is the bracelet.

• Problem:

The key is with the person being tracked down.

Of fucking course. Just what I fricking needed. But right now I need to get this girl out of here before, I was pulled out of my thoughts when we heard keys jiggling and muttering at the other side of the door.

Crap.

"Louis I think someone's here.." Ariella said quietly.

"No shit Sherlock.." I muttered. That earned a slap to the back of my head. I smirked at her and raised my hands up in surrender and she just rolled her eyes.

I can tell why Niall admired her so much. She is so adorable yet scary at the same time. Then again so is Niall, so they are a perfect match and I do hope the get back together. They are each other's halves and I can't imagine what she went through when she broke up with him. Was it hard? I spoke the truth when I told her that he refused food.

I made his favorite food one morning and he just shrugged it off and stayed in bed. It was my last day visiting him before I had to go back to Black Cove two years ago I told him if he loved her this much then to go after her. So he saved money from our job at Toy's R Us where we worked and I guess now he had enough money to come back for her.

Wait.

'LOUIS FOCUS!! GET OUT OF THERE, DUMB ASS!!' My inner voice yelled.

I looked around and found the boss' escape route. He always have one in every room in case he was in our situation. I grabbed her small wrist and pulled her to the cabinet and opened the small door that was in the back. I led her in first.

"Hurry before he walks in!" I whisper yelled.

"I'm going, I'm going!" She crawls in with me slowly behind her, closing the door before my boss walked in. Talk about timing. We stayed standing in a small hallway for a minute or too to make sure that we didn't make sounds that he could hear. We heard muffled yelling.

Which means that he found out that we are gone.

That is never good. Last time one of us turned into a traitor, we never saw him again. Now I'm next in line if I don't get out of here.

"We have to go NOW, come on." I said as quietly as possible, just in case he could hear. We quickly ran away from the door we entered from.

We walked for what seemed like forever through the complicated maze until we came upon a door to the outside. There was a thick forest surrounding the building. The walls of the building we the colors of the trees so it practically blended in with the forest. Its the perfect hiding place from the outside world. The problem though:

Where is the outside world?

"Where are we now Louis?" She asked me while taking in our surroundings.

"Well..." Well I have no idea since I haven't even been out of the building for quite a while. Yeah. Great huh..?

(Don't ask about it.. It's very complicated here. Trust me..)

"Louis!" She snapped me out of my thoughts. I decided to be honest since I was afraid to see her scary side if she found out I was lying.. Since she is the other half of Niall. Niall gets pretty pissed very easily.

"We, are in the heart of a forest but I have no idea where the rest of the world is since I have never even been out of the building in two years.. So...." I stretched my arms out in front of me gesturing for her to walk first.

"Shall we?" She rolled her eyes at my gesture but continued on. It was silent for the most part but after a while she spoke up.

"Hey Louis?"

"Yeah Ariella?" She asked me a question I wasn't expecting yet.

"How did you end up working here?" Well fuck.
