"Oh, Hey! Liam aren't you and Niall going to play something?" David came over to the bench Liam and June were sitting on. "Oh, yeah...I almost forgot." Liam got up and went over to the stage. He and Niall didn't have the band with them so they had to do karaoke instead. Liam took all of Harry's and Zayn's parts while Niall took all of Louis's parts. Kiss You started playing.

By the time they finished Kiss You Liam was out of breath. On his way down he told Niall "I'm glad we have Zayn and Harry! If I had to do all that I would be seriously out of breath every song we did."


The DJ started to pack up the equipment as the last dance played for the night. "Wow, the night went by quite fast!" Liam said as he twirled June one last times as the song ended. "Yeah, I guess it did." June said dazed smiling ear to ear. June was resting her head on Liam's chest as they danced, she could hear his heart beating fast. Was it because he was dancing? Or was it because he was nervous? Whatever the reason, she didn't care.
Suddenly there was a big splash by the punch table, the crowd of people on the dance floor all turned their heads to the punch table. Niall was covered in red fruit punch with some other guy on the floor next to him, the crowd went silent and Niall just stared at everyone wide eyed. "You got nothing on me!" Niall blurted at the guy and got up right away and disappeared into the crowd.
"Okay?" June finally said as she watched the whole thing.
The other guy got up and picked up his wet camera and walked off to the restroom as if nothing happened.
June noticed that when the guy picked up his camera Liam turned white. "What's wrong?"
"Uh-What? Oh, umm...I was just thinking that was a...nah, never mind I'm just paranoid, I guess." He still looked like he had seen a ghost though.
" Its already 10:23! I need to be home by 10:30! I got 6 minutes to get home!" June said with panic in her voice. She ran over to her seat and grabbed her purse and checked her clock again. "Whoa, relax you don't need to be exactly there at 10:30, right?" Liam asked walking with her.

" 'Exactly' is actually correct, my parents are freaks that way. If I'm not there, they start asking all these questions and 'Why are you late?' 'Who were you with?' 'You're too young for that Missy!' So to avoid all that I have to be there on time." June was running out of breath when she suddenly stopped. "EEMMILLYYY!!!" She turned around and started walking back.
"What did you forget, Love?" Liam asked concerned. "Did you just call me-
never mind, I need to find Emily, it's her car we used to get here." June explained.
"Oh, is that so...I actually rented a car for once, you want a ride?" Liam asked.
June looked at him for a split second considering that and then said "Thank you for your concern, Liam but I would rather go with Emily." She looked like she had gulped back a rock afterwords.
"Alright...sure..yeah, lets go find Emily." Liam looked disappointed as he scanned the crowd for Emily.

June then spotted Emily with Niall outside the women's restroom wiping Niall with toilet paper and water to get the fruit punch off. "Emily, thank goodness I found you! We need to go!" June said as she ran to Emily.
"We sounds like too many people, what's going on?" Niall asked June. "Oh, that's right! I'm supposed to bring you back by 10:30 and its-" Emily took her phone out to check the time. She gasped and said "-10:34....I'm so sorry, June!"
"AHHHHH- 10:34! I'm so dead! Well, looks like interrogation night for me." June sighed.
"No, don't worry, umm...just tell them it was my fault, I lost time of track and you couldn't find me." Emily proposed.
Niall started laughing. "What's so funny?" Emily asked. "Oh, you know, the blame game...blame the friends that's what I say!" Niall started laughing again. "I just wanna tell you somethin' June, put your best poker face on and walk through your front door at 10:45 and simply say "It's too painful to talk about it." if they ask anything." Everyone bursted out laughing.
"Alright, Niall. I'll consider that, we need to get going, c'mon Emily." June said dragging her friend with her.


Emily turned on the car and started to back up. "And you wanted to stay home!" Emily finally said. June chuckled "Yeah, imagine if that would've happened. I would say this was the most fun I've had in a long time." June admitted.
"Yeah, me too. Well, actually I take it back, 3 months ago I had a lot of fun as well." Emily winked at June.
"What are you winking at me for? Oh, never mind I know what you mean." June said connecting the dots.
"Yeah, I don't know I guess I just prefer this memory over 3 month's ago for the fact that I feel like I got to know him better." June explained.
"Yeah, I learned some more things about Niall as well." Emily said cryptic.
" Like?" June asked.
"Well, he is a little paranoid with cameras...and birds."
"Yeah, I noticed that about Liam as well." June said thinking of something.
" He told me a bird attacked him once in the loo..weird bird that must have been." Emily said in deep thought ignoring June.
"Anyway, here we are! Huh, watcha look at a that! It's 10:45 like Niall said!" Emily said checking her phone. June got out of the car and walked up the driveway. The lights on the main floor were still on.

"Why are you so late? You are 15 minutes late!" Moriah said as she opened the door and let her in. Right now Niall's suggestion wasn't sounding so bad. "Put you're poker face on and say 'It's too painful to talk about it!' If they ask." June thought. "What's up with the long face, kiddo?" Tom asked.
"It's too painful to talk about it." June replied. "Well, can't go back now." June thought.
"Oh, was it Peter? C'mere let's have a chat." Moriah said.
"Oh, crap! Gee, thanks Niall!" June thought.
"Ummm...okay." Reluctantly June walked over to the kitchen following her mom.
"Step into my office." Moriah patted the stool for the island as she sat on the other end.
"So tell me, what happened?" Moriah said very interested.
June looked around for a moment not knowing what to say. "Plan B it is!"June thought.
"It's too painful to talk about it!" June looked out the window by the sink behind her mom, avoiding eye contact.
"Yeah, Hon, I got that- we got passed that! We know it's too painful to talk about that..that's why we are talking about that." Moriah looked confused.
"Yeah, but I said it was too painful to talk about it, soooo why are we talking about it? Do like me to have payne? I mean pain. You're sending me some mixed messages, mom. Not that I'm complaining but..." June started going off topic and not shutting up.
"Are you done?" Moriah asked 3 minutes later.
"Yeah."
" 'Yeah'... well, I enjoy our little chats." Moriah said laughing
Moriah got up and didn't ask any more questions. June felt relieve and got up just as she was leaving the kitchen her mom said. "So Prom Queen, huh! Not bad, kid!" June hadn't realized she had the crown on still, she had forgotten she even had it on. She reached up and took it off. It was all plastic to her, nothing too special.


She went up to her room to get her pj's on and hung up her dress and put it back in her closet. She went to the bathroom and took off all the make up and brushed her teeth to go to bed. Her parents were getting ready for bed as well. She returned to her room and went to bed, she was tired so she fell asleep right away.

12:03 a. m. June was woken up by rocks hitting her window. At first she ignored them thinking there was a storm outside, or branches from the tree outside her window were hitting her window again. Nope, it wasn't any of that because it clearly sounded like rocks.
June was always was a little grumpy when she got up so she walked over to her window, before opening in she caught her reflection. "Yikes!" June thought she fixed her hair, so her parting was where it usually was and opened the window.
"What's the big-Ow!" June got hit on the forehead with a pebble.
"Sorry!"
"LIAM?!" June said rubbing her forehead.
"You forgot your book at the party." Liam said holding up a book.
"And you couldn't just wait tomorrow to give it to me?"
"You seem a little grumpy." Liam observed.
"Sorry, I tend to be that way when someone wakes me up in the middle of the night. Here throw the book up here." June suggested.
"Or you could just come down and get it." Liam suggested.
"Sure, yeah! If you want to set off the alarm!"
The lights turned on on the bedroom window next to June's bedroom, her parents bedroom.
