Love goes On

"It sounds like someone is talking to June outside!" Moriah whispered to Tom as she turned on the lamp next to her bedside. "You're just hallucinating like last time..." Tom replied and pulled his pillow on his face to try to avoid the light. "Oh, c'mon! I'm pretty sure there is someone outside! Go check!" Moriah ordered as she pulled the pillow from him.
"Uggh...alright, fine!" Tom got up out of bed and started to head to June's bedroom which was next to Daniel's.
He quietly tried to open the door but the door handle always squeaked no matter what. The ray of light from the moon outside showed June fast asleep.
"See! She was sound asleep! It's all up in your head!" Tom told Moriah as she peaked through the bedroom door.
"Well alright, you're right but I swear I thought I heard a conversation going." Moriah looked confused.
Both of them left the bedroom and went back to bed.



"Good grief! That was close! Who says 'Good grief' now days?! What the heck is wrong with me?!" June thought. She got up out of bed with a pair of jeans already on.
she grabbed a sweatshirt quietly from her closet and sneaked out her bedroom. She quietly went down the stairs, got to the main entrance and quietly got the keys as well.
Waiting for her outside was Liam, still in a suit but with the tie undone around his neck. He was leaning on a beat up car.
"Love the ride, there Liam!" June joked.
Liam laughed.
"It was the best I could get in such sort notice." He replied in his attractive deep voice.
He opened the door to the car which didn't want to open, so instead of looking graceful he looked like he was having a tug a war with the door. Then frustrated he kicked the door and it creaked open.
"Alright, then!" June chuckled. June got in and Liam tried to close the door which again creaked closed.

In the car Liam asked June "Where do you wanna go?"
"How 'bout the park?" June suggested.
"Okay!" Liam got the engine running and they drove off to the park.


As they walked through the park the forest started to surround the trail they were on.
They came to an opening with a big tree next to a bench, there were fireflies flickering all around the pond infront of the bench which reflected off the full moon in the sky.
"Pretty night!" June admired.
"Yeah! It's been a long time since I've seen stars! I'm always in the cities that wash out the stars in the sky with all the light." Liam complained as he sat next to June on the bench.

Surprisingly a lot of the stars were bright. "Do you believe on wishing on stars?" Liam asked out of the blue, in a serious tone.
"Umm...no, I guess I've never tried to." June admitted. Liam looked surprised.
"Well, it's time you start!" Liam pointed at the sky and said "Pick one out and wish for whatever you want the most."
"Okay"
"What did you wish for?" Liam asked.
"I can't tell.."June said coyly. "What did you wish for?" She asked him.
"Courage."
"Courage for what?" June asked confused.
"Courage to do this.." Liam leaned toward her and soon she felt his lips on her's.
An astonished look covered June's face. Soon that turned into a smile.
After that a laugh, finally June said " Well then I guess we're lucky tonight...both of our wishes came true."
