Love goes On

Emily woke up to her phone ringing, she reached for it and without looking at the ID answered. "Hello?" Emily responded in a dazed voice. "I'm sorry, did I wake you up?" June's voice asked with concern. "Nah! I wasn't sleeping.." Emily looked at her alarm clock to see that it was 6:23am. "..sleep is for" Emily yawn and continued. "..tired people!" June chuckled softly at her answer, Emily always found a way to make her feel better even when she was sad. "Well, good then! What I called you for is to tell you that I'm not gonna be going to Prom today." June said in a calm voice. "WHAT?!" Emily said immediately. She thought about poor Liam doing her a favor just to find out that June wasn't there.
"What the heck changed your mind?!" Emily asked now sitting down in her bed. "Peter is the one that changed my mine.." June admitted, Emily could sense sadness in her voice. "When I get a hold of that despicable person! HE IS GONNA WISH HE DIDN'T KNOW YOU!" Emily said fired up. "Chill-ax, Emily! It's not worth it!"
"Well, you're right but you're not going to ditch me on Prom! Just because Peter did doesn't mean I'm gonna let you ditch me!" Emily said really thinking about Liam and June. "C'mon Emily! I'm not in the mood to go to a Party with all those happy people!" June said in a whining voice. "I just wanna stay home and watch sappy chick flicks while eating ice cream!" June continued.

Emily imagined June sitting on the sofa in her pj's eating chocolate ice cream (Her favorite flavor on almost everything) while watching a chick flick and yelling "LIAR!!" and chucking a kleenex box at the TV when the guy said "I LOVE YOU!" She couldn't let that happen, not again!
"You're going to join the human civilization whether you want it or not! Might as well start with Prom!" With that last comment she hung up on June and flopped back to her bed and quickly fell asleep again.



"Great! Just great!" June thought at the end of the phone call with Emily. "She can be so stubborn sometimes!" June thought. She looked at the petite little black dress that hung on her desk's chair. It sure was pretty, would be a shame to not wear it! Specially let the poor dress sit there while Prom went by and never get used. "Stop thinking like that!" June thought as she stared at the dress. June got out of bed and grabbed the dress, she changed from her pj's to the dress. "I'm going to Prom with or without a date! Your loss Peter Anderson!" June said confidently as she looked at the dress on her again. She took off the dress and hung it back on the chair. She went to take a shower and get ready for the day.


Later that day around 3pm a honk came from the driveway of June's home, it was Emily's car waiting. She started honking some more impatiently, "Will you tell your friend to shut up! Some of us still take naps!" Daniel, June's half brother complained. "Aren't you a little old to still take naps?" June asked. "Aren't you suppose to actually have a date for Prom?" Daniel glared at her. "touche, Danny, well played!" June messed his hair up. "Don't mess with the hair! I don't wake up looking this good!" Daniel said pushing her hand off his hair. "Gee, hate to see how you look in the morning then!" June teased him as she ran down the stairs.
"what took you so long, woman!" Emily yelled out the window as June closed the door behind her. "Little bros! That's what happened!"




It was 6:47pm and they were going to be late if they didn't get going. "Emily hurry up! We're going to be late!" June said looking at her clock. "You can't rush art! You're smokey eyes need...well more smoke!" Emily was looking unrecognizable with her stunning dress which was rare since she was more of a town-boy sorta girl. Not to mention her make up accenting all her features making her face look flawless. "You know, you should consider a career in the modeling field!" Out of the blue June felt like stating her observation. "this is what happens when you're quiet for too long! You start thinking silly things!" Emily replied. "I'm not hearing a no!" June said upbeat. "Well, that's not a yes, either..." Emily was more serious with her reply.
Emily's relatives were attractive people and it was in their genes, whether it was physically attractive or their personality. Emily had both. This meant that there was a lot of people in her family who had done some modeling at some point in time.
June and Emily where quiet after that and June was starting to regret mentioning it.
"Alright, I'm done! Wanna see how you look?!" Emily asked June upbeat.
"Heck, yeah!" June took the mirror from Emily and saw her reflection. She didn't recognized herself, Even though she had a smokey effect on her eyes. Emily had remembered that June didn't like tons of make up, the rest of her face, Emily basically got rid of all her imperfections!
"Woah! I didn't think make up could do this to me!!" "You don't like it?! I knew it-I knew it! I should of laid off the black!" Emily said to her self. "NO! no,it looks great! Thank you, Emily!"
"Hey, guys-Whoa! What did you do to June?! That is June right?" An Asian girl walked in a lavender dress that fit her thin figure. "Megan, sweetheart, don't act so surprise! I can handle anything!" Emily pretended to file her nails as she bragged. "Well, if that's the case can you handle me?!" Megan replied quickly. Emily looked up to see the hanging clock that read 6:53
"Sorry, Meg! We're gonna be really late if we don't go right now! "Aww!" Megan replied sadly.
"Where's Sarah?" June asked Megan. "Probably in the kitchen stuffing herself with food!" Megan replied in casual voice. "SARAH!! GET YOUR BUTT OVER HERE!! WE'RE LEAVING!" June yelled as they were opening the front door to leave. "COMING!!" An African American girl came running to the front with a Nutela sandwich in one hand and a clutch on the other. She was wearing a dress with a lot of sequins and glitter. The girls all got in the car of Emily and they left to Prom.


When the girls arrived at Prom it was 7:14 and June was irritable, she hated being late. "We're so late! C'mon hurry! Get your butts out of here!"
"June relax! We're only 15 minutes late! I bet most people haven't even got here!" Megan put a reassuring hand on June's shoulder and then got out of the car. A soon as they got out Megan's boyfriend Matt spotted her and she went off with him hooked arm. "Well, looks like its just us three!" Emily announced when Megan left. "Actually it's you two because-Oh there you are!" Sarah hooked arm with Wayne and they left together. "Well, we just got ditched!" June offered her arm to Emily so they could hook it, the girls walked hooked arm to the Party when someone jumped them, LITERALLY. "Whoa, you scared us have to death David!" June said when she turned around to see David. "I couldn't help but notice that you guys didn't have dates!"
"Well, speakin' of which, where's yours?" Emily rifted an eyebrow and crossed her arms.
"Well, let's just say that you guys are my plan B...Sooo, care to be my date?" David offered both of his arms for hooking. "Well, okay." Emily replied for both of them. When they got closer to the building they could hear chatter of a big crowd. "David did you borrow that karaoke machine from your uncle?" Emily asked David. "Nah, I forgot!" He said relaxed and Emily gave him a death glare. "Relax I was kidding! It's all set up!Jeez!" David said chuckling. "Well, good but you and June are still performing for us tonight, right?" Emily asked both June and David.
"Yeah, we are." David said for both June and him. He was staring at her for sometime. "Why are you looking at me like that?!" June demanded. "Oh, it's just that...you look different. You're wearing make up! That's what's up. Looks nice!" David complemented her. "What about me?! What am I, chopped liver?!" Emily elbowed him and then he complemented her as well.
They were in the building when Emily's phone rang. She picked up "Oh, you're here! Great! Oh, no we just got here, yeah. Okay-oh hi Boo Bear! No! Of course not! What guy would ask me out?! who told you that?!" Emily continued on the phone "...Alright you want me to introduce you, or do you wanna say hi first and then perform? Uh,huh. Alright! We're at the front of the building if you wanna say hi? Okay see ya." Emily hung up. "who is 'Boo bear'?" June asked suspiciously.
"You'll see! Just be patient." Just when she finished saying that the crowd went wild with screams. June's eyes widen, she knew that entrance. June was sitting down on a bench when through the crowds heads she saw Niall looking around, apparently Emily saw him too because she jumped up from the bench and dared to go into the crowd. June soon assumed that was the only excitement forgetting that Liam had visited her a day ago and went back to her bored expression sitting on the bench. She was happy for Emily but felt lonely, even David wasn't there anymore he was with his buddies causing problems. The screams soon started to calm down and she could hear Emily laughing harmonized with Niall's. She took out a book from her hand bag and started reading. Suddenly she felt someone sit by her, she thought it was probably David. "what book is that?" A British voice asked. June didn't even look at him yet but her eyes widen and her heart beat raised. She looked up to meet his warm brown eyes, Liam.

"You came!" June dropped her book and hugged him. When the book dropped it closed and the title read "How to Interpret Dreams" Liam didn't seem to notice this and just like that they got up from the bench and started walking out the balcony where they could see the sunset. "Sooo, where's your date?" Liam asked as he leaned in the railing of the balcony. "My date?" "Well, surely a girl as charming as you would have a date, right?" Liam chuckled softly, he felt jealous the day he left her with Peter, so he was sure he was going to be her date for Prom. "Riiight, well, let's just say my date decided to ditch me on the last second." June admitted. "What?! Who is he?! When I get a hold of that Di-" Liam sounded outraged. "-Funny that you say that! That's exactly what Emily said to me too!" June interrupted before Liam could finish his last word. "Well, she's right! Since you don't have a date...care to be mine?" Liam looked at her with a huge grin on his face. June immediately felt her cheeks get hot.
"Sure!" They walked in to the building looking both super happy. Liam was wearing a suit and thin tie (like the one on the red carpet) June had her modest little black dress on and her hair curled. Peter and Jossi soon spotted Liam and June together. Both Peter and Jossi glared at them.
Christina Perri's song A Thousand Years started playing and a lot of the couples considered their chance to slow dance so, Liam and June did. He spun her around and then spun her into his arms. Soon the dance floor cleared around them making a circle around them. A spot light blinded them but they continued to dance as if it didn't affect them. "Looks like we found our Prom King and Queen!" The booming Dj's voice announced. The crowd started clapping as someone crowned both Liam and June. "Wait, a sec! How can you crown him?!" Peter said coming out of the crowd outraged. "He doesn't even go to our school?! Better yet he isn't even our age! He is 20!" The crowd got quiet the only thing you heard was Peter's snickered. "That's right! Hand it over-" "Oh, pish posh! You just want the crown for yourself!" Liam glared at Peter. "Pish posh? See what I mean?! He isn't even American!" Peter stated.
"Looks like this fella brought up a good point, but we'll let the crowd decide if we should take away the crown." The Dj suggested. "Hands up for Liam Payne?" 3/4 of the hands in the room went up. All the popular seem to have their hands down , for the sake of Peter. "Looks like he's keeping the crown, sorry dude!" Peter looked at Liam head to toe and then looked back at his eyes with a glare. He looked at June and said "You're looking hot tonight! If you would've told me you could doll up like that I might had ditched Jossi." Peter then looked at Liam who was definitely jealous with balled fists.
"Yeah, right! Like I would of said yes even if you asked me!" June glared a Peter. Peter just laughed at her glare. "You know your glare doesn't scare me! In fact its kinda..." Peter looked at Liam and without taking his eyes away he continued. "..cute! " That's when Peter received the first punch on the face. "FUCK OFF MAN!" Liam yelled at Peter. Nobody seem to notice the fight with the loud music and all the chatter.
June held Liam back before there was another punch thrown, "Let's just go, he isn't worth it"
Liam left hooked arm with June to the balcony again to speak privately, "That's the knuckle head that ditched you?!" Liam still jealous. "Yeah, and I was stupid enough to say yes..I'm such an idiot." June buried her head in her hands. Liam had pity for her, he dated Sofia even though she always rejected him until he became rich and famous. She was a gold digger and he didn't care, then June came and opened his eyes. Now it was time for him to help her just like she did to him. "You're not an idiot, you're just a teenager being one." He patted her on the back. June raised her head from her hands and asked " Why are you nice to me?"
"Because," Liam thought about it and wasn't sure if he was too pushy if he said the 3 words. He got the courage to say what was in his mind and said. "I love you." June pondered those words for a minute before she replied "How can you say that? You barely know me.." June looked at him confused.
" Everything was fine the way it was, normal and ordinary.Then there was you, so randomly came and took an interest in me. And now you're staring at me telling me you love me." June lean and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Liam blushed. "You know,no one can choose who they fall for, or when the fall, or how they fall, or why. I, well I fell for you and I know I must wait until you fall for me too. So.. I will wait for you, Love." Liam told June.
