Love goes On

Surprisingly there was enough room for a big crowd to hide in Emily's home. "Oh, my! I'm so surprised!" June tried to sound believable. "Emily, this was so nice of you! You really didn't have to do this!" June continued. "June, don't discouraged Emily! She is doing great! Hey, Emily did I tell you my birthday is coming up?!" David joked. "Oh, leave her alone David! Silly goose!" June elbowed him in the stomach.
"Congratulations! June!" June jumped with the surprising voice behind her. It was Peter he had a big bouquet in his hands. "Wow! You remembered my name! Quick someone write this on the calendar!" June joked. Peter laughed and gave her a friendly side hug. "I'm sorry did I say June? I meant Summer!" Peter teased back. "Eh, close enough!" June accepted the bouquet. Suddenly the girls at the party started squealing in excitement and crowding around the entrance. "EMILY! JUNE! ANYONE!" A British voice screamed over the girls.
"is that who I think it is?!" June asked nerviously to Emily. " if you're reffering to Liam than, yeah." Emily replied.
" YOU INVITED HIM HERE?!!" Dread filled June's voice. She never planned on caring for someone so much that being around them made her feel nervious. Specially someone she barely knew.
June didn't want to go find Liam, she wanted to run instead but she forced herself to look for him. "Liam?!" June yelled. "June!!" He yelled in relief. Through the crowd's heads for a moment they locked eyes. As they tried to get to each other, they lost themselves. Just when they finally gave up on looking through the crowd June and Liam backed up into each other. They both jumped from the surprise and turned around. "June!" Liam said happily. "Liam what are you doing here?!" June asked pleasantly surprised. " I bet you're surprised to see me here!" "You have no idea!" She gave him a full body hug.
Peter glared at the two of them hugging. He admitted that he didn't actually like June, but she seemed to be the only girl that made Jossi jealous. Even with that in mind, he didn't like the fact that June flirted with other guys, specially those that were more popular than him. They weren't really a couple, June and Peter. They were just going to prom togethere after Jossi rejected Peter again.
"Who's the smaller bouquet?" Peter asked June. "Who's the guy with the cheaper flowers?" Liam glared at Peter. "Guys, knock it off!" Emily intervened.

After an hour everyone settled down. There was little groups socializing with each other, all around the house. Emily's parents didn't care much and just did their regular hobbies, Mike on the computer and Jane reading magazines.
"why did you invite Peter?!" David asked Emily when they were in the kitchen, fixing snacks. "You think I like the guy?! He invited himself. I went out of my way to make sure he didn't know. But, he showed up anyway!" Emily was putting mayonace on a piece of bread forcefully after her reply to David. "Well, I don't like him for June. He's just using her to try to get to Jossi." David said in a resentful tone. "I know right! I tried to knock some sense into her but she won't listen! I just hope that she starts listening to me before that idiot hurts her. I mean who does he think he is?! Forgets all about her for 5 or 4 months and then just expects her to just act like he never left?!" Emily raised her voice at the end because of her frustration. Liam was passing by the kitchen when he heard Emily say the last part of ' who does he think he is...' Without hesitation Liam assumed Emily was talking about him. He felt so alienated that before David could respond to Emily he decided to go back to the living room and congratulate June again and leave. Liam didn't feel wanted there.
"Well, cut Peter some slack he was really busy and didn't even have time for Jossi with all the basketball tournaments." David replied considering Peter. " Who's side are you on, mister?!" Emily replied with a threatening knife in her hand. They both laughed after an awkward silence. " Anyways, I'm glad Liam came! He really takes Peter off of June's head. That's the way I like it! June and him would make a cute couple, too bad June is too shy to admit she likes him." Emily said more calmly finishing making all the sandwiches. "June. Shy! Yeah, right!" David laughed and grabbed many napkins to go with the sandwiches.

When David and Emily brought trays of sandwiches the starving teens crowded the trays. Emily and David tried to get out of the mob but it was impossible, when they did come out David came out yelling "You monsters!!" He pulled down his shirt as he came out of the mob and tried to fix his messed up light brown hair. "Hey June! Whatever you do, don't get any sandwiches...I might've dropped a few on the way here." David adviced as he sat next to June on the couch. " You did what?!" "Nevermind! So..where's mister hot-shot?" David asked looking around. " Mister hot-shot?" June raised an eye brow. "You know! He's a real Payne in the ass for you girls!" David hoped she got his joke, he thought he remembered Liam saying something about naming his first kid Period Payne since Kim Kardashian named her daughter North West. "Yeah, it's not clicking." She looked confused. "Liam! Where's Liam Payne?!" He finally asked. "Oh, he left a while ago...he acted strange after trying to find the bathroom. Anyways, what where you and Emily talking about? You were pretty loud. I'm sure someone must've heard you!" June told David. "Wait...so he acted funny before he left, do you think..nah! Never mind. We were talking about the hockey game last night how terrible it was!" David lied at the end, he still had the suspicion that Liam heard something that wasn't meant for him. He would hate if the guy assumed something wrong, that's happen to David before and he didn't wish in on any guy.

Liam was on his way to his hotel and was regreting coming to Minnesota. He was dreading the fact that his flight wasn't booked until 2 and a half weeks. He recieved a text from Niall in the cab. "Sooo..did u see June?? R u a couple yet?!"
Liam wouldn't mind Niall asking if it was right. "Nah, i dont wanna talk about it." He reponded. " cmon liam! Wasnt she happy to see u?!" Niall persisted. " oh, she was happy to see me its just emily who doesn't seem to want me with her friend." Liam finally spilled the beans. "Srly?! We've been texting and she says she luvs u 4 June! R u sure she meant u?" This text made Liam consider the possibility of a misunderstanding. He reached into his back pants pocket and took out his wallet. He took out a small crumbled piece of paper that had a phone number. In the past he had looked at this number always tempted to dial it. June's phone number. He used to have it in his phone but after the whole 'Louis prank calling' incident he didn't trust it there. Liam took out his phone and called June. It rang 1 time, no answer. Second time and still no answer. At the 3rd ring he was preparing for voice mail, but to his surprise June picked up. "Hello? Who's this?" Her voice came through his smart phone. "Oh, hey June! It's Liam, I was wondering what you were doing tomorrow night?" "Why?" She sounded pleasant with the question. "Because...I was hoping," Liam spoke fast and stammered a little. ", that, err..you would go to the movies with me." By the end of his question his heart was raising from anxiety. June couldn't contain her giggle and replied "Are you for some reason nervious?" "Maybe." Liam admitted. "Well, don't be! It's okay though, its...cute. I would love to go see a movie with you but.." "Great!" Liam interrupted. "..wait a sec, don't get all excited, how do I tell you this? Tomorrow night we're having Prom so I'm not gonna be able to see that movie, sorry Liam. Really, but we can see that movie the night after if you don't mind? I'll buy the popcorn." June suggested, which made Liam feel better.

Liam and June talked for a few more minutes on the phone and Liam learned the location of where Prom was going to be, he thought about how he could get an excuse to go there. When their call ended he was walking into the hotel and looked down at his phone and smiled. Then walked into a pole. xD

June had just hung up with her call from Liam, and she had a smile on her face as she thought about how he was nervious around her. "Does he have a crush on me? Why would he?! Out of so many pretty faces he's seen, he picks this one?" June thought.
After celebrating for 4 hours June got tired and decided to thank Emily for everything and go home. Just when she was getting in bed she remembered that she never thanked Liam for the bouquet. She took out her phone and looked at her history to get his phone number, she texted him "oh, by the way thx 4 the bouquet! It was lovely! :)" 2 minutes later she received a text "ur certainly welcome;)" June gave it one last look and anticipated tomorrow night. She secretly hoped that Liam would come to Prom for her, but she knew that it was a little weird if he did show up. All she knew was that love was waiting until that night. With that thought she fell asleep.
