Love goes On

When June finally got out of bed she went on with her usual everyday routine, until she got a text from her friend Lexi. "OMGosh, June!!! u never told me Liam Payne and you were cheating on Sofia Smith!!!" When June read this she started to feel sick to the stomach. "Umm...what are u talking about?" She texted back. "Oh, c'mon! Don't deny it! There's pics to prove it!" Under her text there was a link to a website. She tapped on it and opened the link which lead her to a website with the article title "Who is Liam Payne's Mystery Affair?!" "Oh, great!" June rolled her eyes as she thought this.
She scanned through the article because she really didn't want to know what lies or rumors they were spreading. The article basically said that Liam was spotted sharing a cab with a "Special Friend" and walking her home. They said that he wasn't spotted with girlfriend during this time and that an insider has said that he has shown quite the interest in this girl. The conclusion was asking "Do you think One Direction's cutie Liam Payne is falling for this mystery girl? Will he finally call it quits with current girlfriend Sofia Smith?" "Of course not!" June Thought.
"How did you find this?!" June texted back thinking that this could be a threat to her reputation. "Duh, I follow my 1D news! But its also its on E! so, in a way ur kinda famous!" Under different circumstances June would of been glad but this wasn't the circumstance she wanted to be known.
"June? U there?" Lexi texted after a few minutes of not getting a text back. June was too busy freaking out so she hurried down the stairs into the living room in her house and turned on the TV. She switched the channel to E!, dread covered her face. That was their main story. "DON"T PEOPLE HAVE JOBS TO WORRY ABOUT?!" June shouted in frustration. A lot of her peers watched E! So this was obviously something, at least one person would ask about. "Man, technology has definitely helped in many areas like photographing!" June thought as she saw the clear images of Liam and her on Emily's porch. "How close were those paparazzi? How did we not see them?!" June continued thinking.
"Whatcha watching June?" Tom asked June. Tom was June's step dad. She never called him dad just when presenting him to people because she wanted to avoid the whole "Where's your Real dad" conversation. It would always annoy June when people asked her that because she never thought someone could get the title real dad, there was only biological father, not real dad.
"Oh, just wasting my time..." That was the only thing she was would give away as she switched the channel back to cartoons and turned the TV off.
June's parents would kill her if they found out that their daughter got involved with a 20 year old when she was only 17 years old. Even though the age difference wasn't that great, only 3 years she was still considered a kid to them.

Liam woke up in his hotel room, he did his usual morning routine but received a phone call from Sofia. Liam thought she was just calling to talk to him and say good night over in Wolverhampton or something like that. "Hey, Liam! Are you awake?" Sofia asked.
"Umm.. yeah." "Great! I just wanted to tell you that you don't have to go behind my back and cheat on me anymore because we are done!" Sofia sounded happier than she should've been.
"Wait what?!" Liam was a little dazed but this definitely woke him up. He was eating breakfast when she called him and he was drinking orange juice until he spit it out after her comment. As Zayn wiped the orange juice off his face with a napkin or two, Niall started signalling Liam drawing imaginary dashed lines across his own neck , as if trying to tell him "Let her go!" Yet, Liam didn't understand so he said "Why, what are you talking about?"
Niall asked the waitress for a pen and while Liam argued with Sofia about why he should get a second chance Niall grabbed one of Zayn's many napkins that he ordered and started writing "DUDE! LET HER GO!! UR FREE!" he held it up so Liam could see it. "Alright, okay, yeah. Okay. Bye." Liam hung up and gave Niall an unreadable look. "Let me guess you didn't break up with her." Niall gave Liam a blank stare. "Well, your guess is right. I didn't break up with her, but she did with me!" Liam sounded more upbeat at the end. Niall gave Liam five and they started laughing. " You almost had me fooled there, Payne!" "Really? I thought I DID had you fooled." Liam teased back. In 3 hours Liam would be leaving Minnesota with the rest of the band.

5 Months later...


Prom was coming up for June and she was already fed up of it. It hadn't even begin but she already felt like she hated it. Ever since that stupid assignment and article her High School life had changed. June was picking out her prom dress with her mom at a store.
June got asked out to prom by Peter, her huge crush...yet she felt empty. She should have been super excited and thought her life was perfect, but for some reason she didn't feel...Happy.
"Wow! That lavender really stands out in the black! It looks great on you!" Moriah, June's mom commented as June stepped out of her stall to show her mom. June walked over to the full body mirror. It was a dress that went down to her knees and was lavender with mostly black lace over it. It had a cute lavender bow on the waist in the front, overall the dress was cute and fit June nicely.
"I don't know I kinda like the completely black one." June said looking at the dress she had on with a doubtful look. "You mean that little black dress you had on, before that one? Sweetheart, you've tried out 5 dresses of which 4 are completely silk, black dresses. This one is the only one that isn't completely black or silk! Remember, its prom not a funeral!" Moriah crossed her arms.
June gave it another doubtful look at the mirror and went back to the stall to change. She wasn't in her zone that Friday. Prom was on Saturday and she still didn't have her dress. She procrastinated too long, eh what the heck, it's never too long! An hour before the dance, now that's procrastinating! Moving on, 5 months ago, June was a nobody but now, she was known for her musical talent and now a lot of guys were interested in her. Even Peter! Well, sorta..he still liked Jossi better and June had that hunch already but was ignorant about it.
June was going to perform on Prom for the first time in front of more than 26 people if you counted her teacher. An estimate of about 900 people were going to see her perform, she could already feel the stage fright just thinking about it.
June came out with the little black dress she mentioned earlier, it hugged all the right curves of June and made her feel more confident. "Well, now that I'm looking at this one again...yeah! I like it!" Moriah said smiling. "Yeah, I think this is it! I'm done searching!" June said happily.
She went back to the stall to take off the dress. David and June were peer pressured into making a band together since they made a really good duo. They even got more publicity after the many articles made of June, luckily they hadn't mention anything about the Liam incident which she tried to avoid. Many of the articles were local news and were not a huge, huge deal but it was enough for June, they all talked about her and her bands musical success. They even had a manager named Nancy McClellan, who had helped them get a record deal which was a pretty big deal for the band. Still they weren't famous which was okay with June but not with the rest of the band. All June wanted was to do was what she loved to do; make music and show the world the difference between their band and others. "have a good day! We hope you come back soon!" The cashier said as she handed Moriah a bag with the little black dress inside.



Liam had last seen June 5 months ago and was excited to be back in Minnesota, this time he was determine to get to know her and maybe, just maybe, ask her out. As he was on a cab on the way to Emily's house which he thought was June's home the taxi driver had the radio on, there was a band playing live in the local radio station The 2morrow was the name of the band. They were going to play one of their newest songs from their album The Difference , to Liam it wasn't a huge deal until he heard a familiar voice of a girl. "Could it be her? Nah! I'm just going nuts!" Liam thought. The song sounded really good for amateurs so it surprised Liam after the song was over because it sounded maybe, no who was he kidding! One Direction makes better music, he lied to himself. ( For our purposes of entertainment we shall say that the song June sang was Group 1 Crew - The difference its a really good song you should listen to on Youtube) The radio person finally reminded the audience of the bands name and thanked June Keyzer and David Munson for performing their song The Difference. That's when it finally clicked to Liam that it was June! He reached Emily's house by the end of the radio show and payed the cab. When he got out he was hesitant to knock but forced himself to knock. The door was answered by Emily. "You're not the Pizza guy!" Emily said when she opened the door. "Hello to you too, Emily!" Liam smiled. "Sorry, I'm just stressed because of June and David's surprise congrats party." Emily invited him in. "Oh, so when is June coming back?" "Around 4, why?" "Oh, because I just remembered I had an appointment somewhere else, but I'll be back by the time June's back." Liam looked at his clock that said it was 3:37pm he had the thought of getting June a bouquet for her accomplishment so he wouldn't be empty handed when he saw her again. As he walked back out he took out his phone and found the nearest flower shop which was 40 minutes away.

June arrived at Emily's driveway with David and knew that something was up, Emily wasn't a good liar. When she entered the house the lights were off but since the sun was still out it didn't make it hard to see people trying to hide. She humored Emily and switched the light switch on. They all yelled "SURPRISE!"
