Chapter 1
Mary's pov.

"MARY THE GIRLS ARE HERE!" My mom yelled up to me. I partially flew out of my room and down the stairs.

"Come in!" I called opening the door more so they could enter,

"Damn girl, fucking freezing out there!" Rachel yelled. Everyone started peeling off there layers of hats, gloves, scarfs and jackets.

"JACK!" I yelled and my little brother came flying in.
"Yesssss?" He asked.
"Help me bring the girls bags upstairs while they defrost by the fireplace"
He nodded. "Which ones Valentines" he's asked searching over the vast amount of bags.
"Touch my shit and you die" valentine growled placing her bag in my hand. I couldn't help but laugh.
"Val, I think it's cute jake has a little crush on you!" Rachel said laughing, Valentine just rolled her eyes "adorable" she muttered walking into the family room and sitting near the fireplace.
I grabbed half the bags and Jack grabbed the other and we took them to my room

"I don't know why Valentine hates me" he said placing the bags on my bed.
"JAKE! You tried peeping on her changing last time you little creeper!" His face instantly flushed.
"She still remembers that?" He said sheepishly I pushed him out of my room and into his (which is straight across the hall)
"If you step one foot into my room at all tonight I'll break your Xbox"
His eyes widened " you wouldn't dare"
I gave him a playful smirk. "We both know I would"

I shut his door and headed down stairs, I sat down on the couch next to Nicole who was reading her book. "Nicole put down the book and chat with us" I begged. She glanced over the top of the book. "You'll have to pry it from my cold dead fingers" and she began reading again. And I slowly scooted away from her.

"Here's some hot chocolate girls to get you all toasty and warm" my mother said placing a tray of 5 cups on the coffee table
"Thanks Miss colt!" They said in a unison, and everyone grabbed a cup.

"Mary the tv's not working" Ava said playing with the buttons on the remote. I walked over and tried to turn on the tv myself. Nope nothing. I walked over to the tv and hit the button on the side...... Still nothing.
"Mom the Tv's broken!" I called. My mother walked in, "seriously Mary you don't have to yell I'm in he kitchen. And the electricity is bugging out" she answered
"But the lights work?" I question,
But she shrugged, "science is weird" I mumbled.

"You SOOO did not say that!" I protested. Rachel just smiled, "so, but I thought it" she replied taking a sip of her hot chocolate.
"If everyone's done with there hot chocolate we can go up to my room" I suggested.

Everyone put there cups on the tray and headed upstairs,

"Jack didn't go through my bag, right?" Valentine asked examining her stuff.
"Don't be so hard on the kid Val it's just a little crush he's what...10?" Nicole said placing her book on my night stand,
"Let's try the Tv in here" I suggested.
"It won't work either" Rachel said staring at the remote, unsure of what button to press next.
"Wrong remote smart one" I snickered "that's for the radio " I pointed out. And she hit the blue button and midnight memories by OneDirection filled the room.

We all collapsed onto my bed after our crazy singing and dance session.
Then Call Me Maybe started to play

"Turn it off!"Ava yelled and I stumbled to the radio and turned it off.

I picked up the TV remote from the ground, "now that that's over lets turn on the Tv with the TV REMOTE" I said the last part loudly looking at Rachel who started laughing

The tv was all staticky for a bit but a picture was starting to show.
"Is that OneDirection?!" Nicole blurted out. And all five of us were practically pressed against the tv, and the picture cleared,

The large image of OneDirection was now in the corner of the screen while the news lady was speaking.

"That's right directioners, one direction is M.I.A. Missing In Action after someone spotted there tour bus on the side of the street with the bus driver and mechanics but WHERES ONE DIRECTION!"
And the picture when all staticky again

"THERE M.I.A! What about Harry! I hope he's okay!" Valentine yelled.
"I swear if anything happens to poor Niall-" Nicole started but Rachel cut her off.
"NIALL?! What about Louis and that fab ass of his!" Rachel cried.
"Both of you shut up because if anything happens to Liam the would would END!" I exaggerated.
"If something happened to Zayn I'd DIE!" Ava blurted out.

"Shut up!" Jack yelled pounding on the door, we all blurted into laughter.
Then It got really quiet.

"Do you think there okay?" Nicole asked. "Lets hope so" I replied.

"DINNERS READY!" My mom called. We all looked at each other before heading downstairs

"Dig in! There's rice and corn and vegetables and burgers, oh and Rachel I made you two veggie burgers"
"Thanks Miss. Colt" Rachel smiled. And everyone began eating
"Jack please top staring at me" Valentine growled as politely as she could knowing an adult was in the room.
"Jack" my mother said sternly, make him look down,

"Missing you say?" My mom questioned. She loved getting in on our girl gossip.
"YEAH CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!" Valentine said In a hight pitched voice,
And all the girls rambled on and my mother sat there listening and joining in at some points.

She's a great mom. I just feel bad for her sometimes. She has to take care of two kids all by herself and balance that out by working to keep a roof over our heads. She has a lot on her plate.

"You girls go upstairs I'm gonna help my mom with the dishes and jake you stay out of my room or so help me god" the girls ran upstairs and Jack followed behind.

"Mary your friends are over go have fun" my mother said piling all the plates as I took the glasses.
"I just feel bad. You have to do this all by yourself." I said. My mother gave me a sweet smile, but with sad eyes, "I've been doing thing by myself for quite some time now" she replied taking the dishes to the sink.

"8 years now" I muttered. Felling tears start in my eyes, my mom pulled my into a hug. "And what glorious 8 years it has been having my two wonderful kids all to myself. Now go hangout with your friends now! That's and order!" She yelled playfully I smiled ran upstairs
