Dollhouse saga; "Forever always, For eternity "
I wake up holding Isla in my arms. Her mind raced all night worrying about Liam and that I might accidentally harm her family before we leave. It must be the pregnancy hormones making her such a worry wart because she's never usually like this - questioning how much Liam and I love her, that I'd cause harm to anyone she loves, that the babies are okay, her mind runs nonstop lately. She stirs and wakes, thankfully with a smile on her face.
"Morning love," I say returning her smile.
"Morning," she says sleepily.
"Are you ready to get up so we can start our journey home?" I inquire.
"Yes and no. I hate to leave my family, but I want to see Liam too," her inner turmoil obvious to me.
"Well, let's get down to breakfast so you can spend a bit more time with your family and then we'll pack up." I help her out of bed shocked when I see how much the babies grew overnight. Isla struggles to get out of bed and keep her balance.
"Babe, I can't believe how much your stomach grew overnight." I say in disbelief.
"Oh Louis, I can barely walk. They are so heavy. Maybe we're having quadruplets." She says in obvious pain and I hate that she's suffering at all.
I help her dress as she cannot bend over given her increased size. Regardless of how she's expanded, I find her pregnant body incredibly sexy and I struggle to behave myself since I can hear her parents and sister are awake and moving about the house.
"Louis, get yourself under control," Isla scolds when she sees my eyes have turned red with desire.
"I can't help it Ice. Just give me a minute." I hug her and take slow, deep breaths to calm myself. About a minute later, I can feel my desire under control. I pull away from her and smile.
"Okay, let's go down," she commands and I help her walk downstairs. When we reach the kitchen, her mother turns white when she gets a look at Isla.
"Oh my baby! How is it possible those grand babies grew so much overnight? Are you okay? You look so pale. Louis, help her to the chair over there." I feel horrible that her mother is so worried. I wish I could tell her all will be fine, that no harm could possibly come to Isla, but she'd think I was crazy or get mad that I'm being insensitive.
"I'm okay mum. Just a little hard to move about. How am I going to make it through a few more months of this?" Isla asks with a slight chuckle.
"Well, if necessary, I will carry you everywhere if you can't walk," I say and kiss her cheek and I hear someone swooning behind me.
"Could you be anymore perfect?!" Ah yes, my soon-to-be sister-in-law is looking at me with big eyes.
"No love, you've seen how messy I am. Nothing perfect here," I joke. I'm jolted out of my conversation when Isla screams. "Babe, what's wrong?" I can't help but panic even though I know deep down she will be okay.
"Oh God. They must be playing a World Cup footie match inside me. I swear one of them just cracked a rib," Isla says between gasps trying to catch her breath and control the pain.
"Ice, maybe I should get you back home in case you need the doctor. I'll go up and pack everything. It will just take me a few minutes."
"I can help you!" Of course, her sister wants to help me, but I can use my superhuman speed if she's not around.
"If you really want to help me, stay here and take care of Isla since I can't be in two places at once." I give Isla a peck on the lips and walk at human speed upstairs to her bedroom. Once inside, it takes me less than a minute to pack everything and secure the luggage. Another minute and I am downstairs with the luggage in tow.
"Louis, you are so fast," her mother says looking surprised.
"Well, I already had everything packed before we came downstairs. I just needed to secure the luggage and bring it downstairs," I lie and Isla gives me a look that goes unnoticed by her mother and sister.
"Where is Daddy? I'd like to say goodbye to him."
"He had to run into the office for a little while. Do you think you can wait a little while longer until he gets home? I could call him and tell him to hurry home now and--" she is cut off by Isla screaming.
"Owwwwwwwwww! Noooo!" Isla screams and clutches her stomach and I hear a splash on the wood floor.
"What was that?" I ask in a panic because I hear the babies fussing inside Isla, but I'm confused because nothing bad should happen.
"My water just broke," Isla says with a nervous look on her face.
"What do we do?" I practically yell at the top of my lungs.
"Well, you take the bags back upstairs because Isla is in labor and you aren't going anywhere. How exciting I am going to see my grand babies born. I'll call 911 to come get her and take her to the hospital now," her mum says sounding too happy and rushes to the phone.
Whatever are we going to do? I look at Isla and she asks me the same question telepathically. How are we going to explain these two very different babies? More importantly, how am I going to get Isla, the babies, and me out of this mess?
Sorry it's been so long. I've been really busy getting my story "Snake Eyes" off the ground. That, and life has been pretty busy. Please check out the story if you have time.
So, how are they going to get out of this baby delivery mess? Will Louis be able to save the day? What about Liam? Will he get to be there to see his baby born? Tell me what you think will happen.
