Stole My Heart

When the plane finally landed, the girls gathered up all of their luggage and we headed out. The tour buses were already waiting for us. The girls stopped in their tracks once they were only a few yards away from them.

“Oh my gosh!” Heather said putting her stuff down and fanning herself with her arms. “The tour buses!”

Louis was laughing as Heather continued too wave her arms. The other girls stood there in what looked like awe. Laurel put her bags down and covered her mouth with her hand and shook her head.

“So, now we just need to figure out who’s staying in which bus.” Harry stated. “We can have two of youin each bus.”

“I call the One Direction bus!” Heather shouted. “If that’s okay with everyone else…”

“Sure.” Nina stated.

“Fine by me.” Laurel said.

“Go ahead,” said Sarah. “If you guys don’t mind, could I stay in the 5SOS tour bus?”

Nina and Laurel both nodded and Sarah picked up her stuff and moved it more towards our bus.

“I’m fine with either bus so wherever you want to go, Nina, is fine with me.” Laurel said smiling.

I crossed my fingers and hoped that Nina would want to stay with Heather in One Direction’s bus.

Nina hesitated a while before making her decision. Finally she said, “I think I’ll go on the 1D bus.”

“So I’ll be with Sarah and 5 Seconds of Summer.” Laurel said smiling and turned to me.

My heart probably missed a beat because that smile she gave me was brilliant. I walked over to her to help her with her bags and Michael followed. Ashton and Calum were walking over to Sarah to help her with her things. Laurel seemed to be struggling with a particularly heavy bag.

“Do you want some help with that?” I asked setting the stuff that I was carrying down.

“Yeah, thank you.” she replied.

As I reached for the bag, our hands touched, resting on top of it for a few seconds. Laurel stared at our hands and I into her green eyes. Looking up at me, she quickly withdrew her hand and started blushing.

“What is even in this thing?” I asked struggling under the weight of the bag.

“Books.” she answered.

“Books?”

“Yes, books. You honestly didn’t expect me to go away for eight months without anything to read. Besides, it’s only a couple.” Laurel said shrugging.

I sighed and shook my head smiling as we reached the bus. Ashton, Calum and Sarah were already inside. We helped them unpack until it got dark.

After a while we decided that we should be getting ready for bed. “Okay, so this is where Michael sleeps,” Ashton said pointing to a bed on the right. “Calum sleeps here.” Ashton said gesturing to the bed right under Michael’s. “Luke sleeps here.” He said pointing to a bed on the left. “And I,” he said pointing to the one above Luke’s, “am right here.”

“So, there are two empty beds right here. You guys can decide who wants the top and who wants the bottom.” Calum said.

“Being so short, I think I’m going to need the bottom.” Laurel said.

“You’re not short.” Sarah stated reassuringly. “You’re fun size.”
