Laurel’s P.O.V.

I sat up and looked out my window. I saw nothing but blue sky and thin white clouds. I began to rub my eyes and yawned. I turned my head and glanced over at Luke who was on his phone. I leaned forward and stretched, only then noticing that his arm was still around me.

“Did you have a nice nap?” Luke asked as I continued to stretch.

“Yeah,” I replied yawned. “Has your arm been there the whole time?” I asked eyeing his arm that was resting on my shoulder.

“Uh, yeah. Sorry.” He said moving it awkwardly.

“No, you’re fine.” I apologized. ”I was just wondering. So… what time is it?” I asked glancing around.

“A little past 1:00.” Ashton yelled from the opposite side of the plane.

“Where are we going to first?” Sarah asked excitedly.

“Well,” Niall started. “Us as well as a bunch of other celebrities like R5 and Hunter Hayesgot invited to an event and were asked to perform. Would you girls be interested in going?”

“ Yes!” the three of us cried in unison.

“I can’t believe I’m going to see Ross Lynch!” Nina exclaimed. “I love him so much!”

“Is this some kind of formal event?” Sarah asked curiously. “Do we wear like dresses and stuff? Will the media be there?”

“Well, I suppose it is formal.” Liam said thoughtfully. “And with this many celebrities performing I don’t doubt that the press will want to miss out.”

“Great! A whole bunch of people get to see and take pictures of my face!” I said sarcastically.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Niall asked?

“She’s very shy and doesn’t like to be on camera or have her picture taken.” Heather answered.

“Not to mention unattractive.” I said under my breath.

“Hey,” Luke said turning to me. “You’re beautiful.” He leaned forward and gave me a kiss on the nose. I looked over and saw Ashton and Sarah smiling. I felt my cheeks grow hot and I stared at the ground.

Luke’s P.O.V.

Laurel’s cheeks turned bright red and she turned and looked at the ground. I thought that it was absolutely adorable. After a while she was rummaging through one of her bags looking for something. Eventually, she pulled out a book and began to read.

“How much longer ‘til we get there?” Nina asked.

“It shouldn’t be too much longer.” Calum replied.

I sighed and leaned back, casting a quick glance at Laurel who was absorbed in her book. I thought that it was cute the way she was so caught up in the book.

“What are you reading?” I asked, trying to get a glimpse of the front cover.

“Hmm? Oh, The Silmarilian by J.R.R. Tolkien. I’m almost finished with it.” she replied proudly. She then buried her nose back into the book and continued reading.
