Stole My Heart

We all sat down in the living room. My mom got us all some water figuring that we were thirsty. I, once again, sat next to Niall. Jordan hopped up on my lap and started playing with my hair.

My dad started asking the guys about their tour. I wasn't really paying much attention. All I wanted was for my dad to stop asking questions. Maybe this was the reason why I didn't have a boyfriend. That or the fact that I am not very attractive at all.

Kelly sat there staring at them the whole time, her eyes wide and I don't think that she blinked for an entire half an hour. I'm pretty sure that she was making the boys feel uncomfortable. At least Max wasn't here. He didn't care at all, I suppose that that's a good thing...

Jordan started to fall asleep on my lap. It was way past his bed time, same with Sean. I offered to take them upstairs considering how I wasn't paying attention. I carried Jordan upstairs and Sean followed behind. After I got Jordan situated, Sean wanted me to tell him a bedtime story. I didn't feel like getting up so I just made one up, something that I wasn't good at. Apparently it was worse than I thought because Sean fell asleep the minute I began.

I headed back downstairs and sat back down next to Niall. He smiled at me as I sat down.

"Are the boys in bed?" my mom asked.

"Yeah," I responded and let out a yawn. I looked over at the others. Louis had his arm around Heather. Kelly was still staring at One Direction with her mouth hanging open. Everyone else was listening to my dad talk about his time in a band. He used to play guitar.

I had heard these stories about a hundred times so I leaned my head back against the wall and closed my eyes.

Before I knew it Niall was gently nudging me and saying my name. Thankfully this time I wasn't resting my head on his shoulder - my dad would have had a bird.

I looked over at the clock and saw that it was 10:30. I yawned and sat up rubbing my eyes. Everyone was standing up, the boys shaking my parents hands and thanking them. My dad had a genuine smile on his face which surprised me because he never looked that way when Holly brought guys over, regardless of whether or not they were just friends.

I stood up and stretched. My parents led the boys towards the door and I followed. My parents said goodnight and went upstairs.

I was about to say goodnight as well when Niall turned to me and asked, "Would you like to take a walk with me?"
