Stole My Heart

After we had finished our fish sticks and custard the girls wanted to look around the mall for a bit. The first place they wanted to go was Hot Topic.

"This is probably my favorite store." Laurel announced as we entered the store.

The others nodded in agreement and headed straight for the Doctor Who section. They were oohing and ahhing over stuff. Like what they said was a TARDIS dress... whatever that meant. Still, is was fun to watch them look through everything and fangirl.

Then, Laurel saw that they had some Sherlock stuff and went over, leaving everyone else. I followed her over. As soon as she saw me she turned to me holding a shirt that said, 'I'm not a psychopath, I'm a high-functioning sociopath (do your research).

"Isn't this like the best shirt ever?" she asked laughing. I just shook my head.

After that we wandered around some more and by then it was 6:15. We probably spent at least and hour in Hot Topic. We ate supper which took an hour before piling into the car. Laurel had called her mom and told her that we were on our way and would be back in half an hour. She said that it was okay with her mom if they wanted to sleepover again and the girls all agreed that they would.

"My feet are killing me!" Louis announced after a while. He had his arm around Heather as we sat in the car.

"I know what you mean." I said sighing.

"Really tired too." Sarah replied yawning.

"How late were you up last night?" Tiffany asked curiously.

"After midnight," Nina said. "Although I was up until one in the morning because somebody," she turned to face Laurel, "snores."

We all laughed except for Laurel who was trying to hold back a smile. I took her hand and squeezed it.

"Hey!" Laurel shouted defensively, "It's not my fault."

"And you always get up so early, like before seven." Heather complained.

"I don't like sleeping in, I feel like I've wasted part of my day." Laurel replied glaring.

We all sat for a few minutes listening to the radio. One Thing came on and we all started singing, well almost all of us. Laurel had fallen asleep, her head resting on my shoulder. She looked so beautiful and peaceful.

Eventually we passed over a huge bump in the road and she sat up suddenly, still half asleep.

"Shh, it's okay." I said gently, "You're fine."

She once more rested her head on my shoulder and I sighed. Her hand was still in mine. I wish we could stay like this forever.
