Stole My Heart

Laurel's P.O.V.

I insisted that everyone stayed for the credits because Ed Sheeran sang a song at the end that I had memorized. Niall looked over at me while I was singing and gave me a confused look.

"What?" I asked, "The soundtrack already came out."

He shrugged and laughed. When the credits were over we exited the theater. Niall held my hand and Louis held Heather's. I really couldn't understand why the boys had decided to put up with me... with us. But they were really sweet, all of them and I would do anything for them.

"So," Zayn said glancing down at his watch, "What do you wanna do? It's 1:00 now."

"Well, I don't know about you guys," Niall said, "but I'm starving!"

I laughed and thought 'Oh Niall'. He had eaten a whole thing of popcorn, a bag of M and M's, and a bottle of water.

He looked over at me and playfully asked, "What?"

"It's nothing." I replied shaking my head. "But I do have to agree with you. I feel like I haven' t eaten anything in ages."

"Food court it is." Heather said, already walking away with Louis.

On our way there, we bumped into our friend Tiffany. I've known her ever since sixth grade. She was one of our best friends but a lot more quiet and reserved. We considered her the 'normal one' but, well... Sarah waved her over and we introduced her to the boys.

She didn't really care for One Direction so she just simply said, "Hey."

"We were just heading to get something to eat." Liam said pointing in the direction of the food court, "You're welcome to join us if you'd like."

"Yeah, sure." Tiffany replied shrugging.

When we got there, tired to decide where to eat. Everyone was arguing while I just stood there #1 because I hated arguing, and #2 because I didn't really care. I was more of a 'go with the flow' carefree person.

I don't even know what I was thinking when all of a sudden blurted out, "How about fish sticks and custard?" The other girls cracked up, Sarah was laughing so hard she started smacking one of the tables. At first the guys looked at me like I had five heads but after a few seconds they started laughing too.

"I'm being totally serious." I said, "I actually really like it."

"All right lads," Louis said smiling, "fish sticks and custard it is."

Niall's P.O.V.

We sat down with our fish sticks and custard, - never thought I'd say that... well, now that I think about it with the guys you never know.

Once we had all gotten situated, the girls tried to explain the whole fish sticks and custard thing. Apparently the watch a show called Doctor Who and the main character, the Doctor, eats fish sticks and custard.

I tried my first bite and I have to say not bad. Laurel said that it was one of her favorite snacks to eat when she's alone. I've been told that it's weird that I like little quirky stuff like that, but I do. I looked over at her smiling and eating her fish sticks and custard and my heart started to race like it never had before.
