Stole My Heart

And what do you know... Harry comes walking out with four microphones in his hands. One for me, one for Heather, one for Sarah, and one for Nina. My hands were shaking when he came over and gave me mine. He seemed to notice this and leaned down to whisper, "You'll do great." I didn't think that I could do it. Niall just kept smiling and holding my hand, acting as though things were perfectly normal. Well, I guess for him it was..................... but still.

The music started playing and I recognized it instantly - Up All Night! I looked over at Sarah and her eyes were wide open, terrified at the thought of singing in front of all these people. Nina looked like she was ready to punch one of the boys for making her sing. And Heather, I think she was still freaking out over the fact that we were going to sing with One Direction. I was ready to pass out and I was flooded by emotions - excitement, nervousness, anxiousness, but above all, fear.

Liam started with "It feels like we've been living in fast forward..." Niall looked at me, urging me with his eyes to sing. I waited until the chorus, hoping that I wouldn't be heard with eight other people singing.

After Up All Night was over Niall whispered, " See, that wasn't so bad now was it?"

"No," I responded, "it was way worse than I anticipated."

"Oh come on, you don't mean that."

"Oh yes I do!" I said indignantly.

"Just imagine that there's no one else around, just the two of us. I won't judge you if that's what you think." Niall said reassuringly.

"Fine. I'll give it another go." I said firmly, squeezing his hand.

As the concert continued, I found myself slowly starting to relax. The crowd cheered after every song and there were no boos, so I guessed I was doing okay. When we came to Moments Niall grabbed a guitar from the side of the stage and gestured for me to sit down next to him. He looked at me throughout the entire song, not taking his eyes off of me for a second - like I would disappear if he did. I looked down at the ground, not really knowing how to respond.

When we came to Kiss You everyone was so full of energy. I completely let myself go and didn't care how horrible I sounded. I was only focused on making this the best night of my life. I was probably dancing around like an idiot, but I didn't care. Neither did any of my friends or the boys for that matter.

When we came to the final refrain Niall did one of his jumps and Harry said, "I want to kiss every single one of you!" I think we all nearly died. Then after we sang, "And let me kiss you!" Niall came running over from the other side of the stage. He looked like he was about to say something but grabbed my hand and kissed me on the cheek instead with no hesitation. My hand immediately flew to my cheek and I looked down, smiling and blushing. This was definitely the best night of my life!
